It has brought Us great sorrow to be informed of the Qalasheen’s letter to the most revered Mother Church, which speaks of, in grave detail, their distaste for the Church of True Faith, a dislike which has proliferated over the last decades. Doctrinal differences, the defiance of Venerable Pontiff James II’s authority in the matter regarding Sapphira Dunham and the Sultan’s union, among other events have widened the fracture between us. However, despite these, it is the memory of Our predecessor, Blessed Pontiff Jude I’s successful efforts to reconcile with the Qalasheen through His Encyclical Letter, Filiorum Dei, which has driven Us to this conclusion in order to perhaps preserve future efforts of reconciliation. 

 

Even despite the slander which marks the letter of which has been addressed to Us, accusing Us of hiring assassins, a most abhorrent action against the Love, God’s Love, that We preach, We seek a peaceful resolution to this matter. It is in this Encyclical Letter, of which We regret to be one of Our first, that We call for a silence of sorts between the two parties, the Qalasheen ceasing hostile action against Us and We assuring them of no hostile action in turn. It is in this “silence” that We pray peace may be found and further dialogue for the sake of reconciliation may prosper if at all possible. 

 

We do not wish to begin this Pontificate with conflict and we therefore enact these following points:

  • All ties, meaning recognition as a sect of Canonism and the reconciliation proffered in Bl. Jude I’s Encyclical Letter, are hereby severed by the Mother Church on the basis of doctrinal differences and hostile action between the Church of the Canon and the Qalasheen. 
  • A silence between the two parties is called, hostile action ceasing on both sides.
  • Dialogue between the Church and the Qalasheen is called for if able, to reach once again the peaceful resolution which was found under His Holiness, Jude I.

 

In Our conclusion of this Encyclical Letter, we remind the Qalasheen of these words from Filiorum Dei, “Let it be stated that the Holy Canonist Church, by virtue of her authority through the Testaments of the Exalted reaffirms and profoundly acknowledges the trueness and virtuous disposition of the Farfolk people in their pursuits to holiness and justice in the holy light of the Godhead.” This has forever been the goal of the Church and it seems it has been forgotten, We as Vicars of God always trying to maintain that virtuous disposition in the hearts of the followers of the Al’iiman Rashidun faith. We pray that Jude I may intercede in this endeavor for the sake of both the Church of the Canon and the Qalasheen. That, We do pray.

From the bedridden state, Alfred takes a look at the letter which was brought to him by his cousin, Bishop Adelric. With a few wearly nods, the elder man puts the letter to the side, resting his head on the pillow. " GOD works in favour to His Holiness.. I pray that these Qalasheen get to the common sense, and be reasonable, so we all may sleep better. ", with a chuckle he says, waiting for a nurse to make him a Tom Collins cocktail.

Princess and Sheikha Esmae bint Saqr Al'Ulamah Al-Nabeel, of the Sultanate and the Fakhr tribe read this over with interest, her toddler cradled at her hip and resting back against her husband. Her thoughts went to the claims of the men who'd said they were sent to murder one of their own and she could only pray to Allah that this silence would go smoothly and safely. She had a tiffl to teach, after all.
