Iudaes 1087 Share Posted February 28, 2021 (edited) PONTIFICAL LETTER WRIT OF DISSOLUTION: OF THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction. It brings Us great sorrow to hear of such incident in a union which has bore these spouses twins, however even with such harmonious intentions as to affirm the Sacrament of Matrimony, the tides of change may crash even on calm beaches. With regret, We have been told by the account of Edith Hope that her husband, Silvius Hope, has abandoned her and her children and has, in so doing, abandoned their union of marriage as well. By Edith Hope’s testimony, Silvius Hope left five years ago and has not returned nor sent any form of correspondence. We, by Our Apostolic Authority derived from the Laurel of the Prophets, hereby dissolve the Sacrament of Matrimony which bonds together Silvius and Edith Hope. Children born within the union remain the legitimate issue of both parents. With their union dissolved, they are both permitted by Our office to remarry. However, We beseech both to take more care in seeking the Sacrament of Matrimony going forward and demand that both seek Our permit for future unions, lest it be considered invalid.
