Jason of the North 202 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Taking days if not weeks at a time to prepare, careful writing and arranging, it is finally done. Ajax releases an album.. The Axios Album, to end a streak of six years of continuously writing and publishing music, he decides to end on a high note, or as relatively high as this album will be. A copy is delivered to the remembrancers, and a single copy is posted to the tavern wall, which by now is littered with the various songs he's posted over his time.. The grand total of songs now being well into the 60's. Attached to the tavern copy is a letter Spoiler To the Dwarves of Kal'Darakaan and Urguan as a whole, Well... It's been quite some time hasn't it? Six years as of last month when I began my work making song and sonnet for you all.. I have been praised and commended well enough for all my efforts, even making a few select commissions and favorite songs that delighted me to no end. It is at present however, time for me to set the quill down and take a step back from my musical musings to enjoy more to life than song. I wanted to take the time to give thanks to all of you who have inspired me, helped me push to these astounding heights, sponsoring and encouraging me, and the many, many people I've had the pleasure of sharing my works with. To you all, I cannot begin to express my gratitude and beaming pride at your feedback and praise, even if I feel like I've never deserved it.. You all have been so wonderful to me and Bojakk and I will always remember these six years as a very special time in my life, even as an old geezer of a dwed.. In any case of my ramblings.. I don't wish to simply leave this note and depart from songwriting... So as a farewell gift, I give you this album.. The Axios Album... A bit controversial considering the subject matter, but I wish to simply state I take no side, nor endorse any of the actions of the war of the beards back in axios... Rather I wish to use this as a framing reference as someone who's lived on the other side.. Having been inducted into the ideas of Kaz'Ulrah and letting myself be swaddles in its ideals.. To now I've found to be nothing more than a dream, realized at horrible cost and not as glamorous as promised... To what I was, and what I am now, I'm glad that we are whole again as a people.. But more than anything and to the point of this album.. We must never forget the tragedy that was our actions in Axios, all our dead brothers, and the hope that such an event will never occur again. I suppose in the end.. The album is up to your own interpretation.. If you love it or hate it, I do hope at the very least it makes you think, and to soften the harder hearts of some of the more stubborn beardlings who want to find glory in war and conflict, but don't truly understand the costs... To wrap things up I suppose... I once again wish to thank you all.. I do not know if I'll return to songwriting, as I wish to take a long, long vacation from writing anything musical.. If I do, I hope to continue to help and inspire people as well as reinforce dwarven culture on both the stages at home, as well perhaps the stages of the world.. There's always a dream to be had of such things, and I do see plenty of hope and promise to a passionate bearded lady doing such a feat, but that is not my business..
