Cr. Francisco Nescia being crowned by Cardinal Pelagius & his Dolorosan Court.

A DIOCESAN LETTER TO THE HYSPIANS

To the Passion,

Long was the day in which self proclaimed “King of Hyspians”- Antonio Rivera, accepted the faith of Canon amongst his exotic courts, risking his vassalage under Sutica to establish the first Bishopric of Hyspia [Now, the Bishopric of Cordobe], before withstanding exile directed by the Trade King of Sutica due to his efforts to introduce Canonism to his peoples. Furthermore: Long was it the day in which the aforementioned Antonio Rivera dared to topple his piety & divided the Hyspian flock to indulge in the heretical Faith of the Red.

Mentioned above: Antonio Rivera, the uncivil “Jarl” of the Red Hyspians within the borders of the Nordlings - fractured the Hyspian flock into two due to his sudden interest in the Red faith, one faction being those loyal to the Faith of Canon: The White Hyspians - shepherded by myself, Cardinal Pelagius-Albarosa, & headed by the pious Cardinal Francisco Nescia, of Hyspian Heritage, the white Hyspians are large in number when contrasted to the Red. In opposition stand the Red Hyspians, Norlandized Hyspians headed by the heretical Antonio Rivera, establishing a small Jarldom as the Nordlings call it outside of their northern capital - not only this however, for the mad King committed numerous crimes to both his remaining citizens alongside with those belonging to the Canonist Faith, as stated below:

I. Encouragement of Heathenism or attempted conversion of the Hyspians en masse will first result in permanent exile. Should one try again to convert en masse, they will be removed of their tongue and branded upon their forehead.

II. Verbal or physical attacks on clergy of the Church of Canonism and encouragement of destruction of Church property is punishable via execution should the defendant be found guilty.

As quoted from the Hyspian codex of Law.

With that being said, Antonio has been lessening the likes amongst the White Hyspians, unfortunately those loyal to the church are in search of a new figure to remark as King due to Antonio’s actions. As stated above, many Hyspians are in favour of Cardinal Francisco, overseeing the Albarosan influenced Archdiocese of Nescia - known for his diligence within local affairs & undying piety for the faith. In fact, this letter written by Fr. Hernando Altimirano is quite evident of these supportive observations. Thus said, I myself - Cardinal Pelagius, under my jurisdiction as Vice-Chancellor of the Canonist Church, & Prince-Archbishop of Albarosa, am to crown Francisco Altimirano as the King of the White Hyspians. There will be a Coronation held within either Cartagena, Osanora, or one of my personal Dolorosan Courts in the coming weeks. Let it be known - the Hyspian Flock shall no longer be lacking a shepherd, for the light of Horen commends them well.

ISSUED & PROCLAIMED,

His Eminence, Vice-Chancellor Cardinal Pelagius-Albarosa: Prince Regent of Santegia, Savinia, Prince-Archbishop of ALBAROSA, encompassing the Diocestial territories of: Rochefort, Nescia, Cordobe, Gottsgrenze, Ponce, excetera..

THE CORONATION

of 1809

Henceforth, due to the call of coronation by Cardinal Pelagius, the event was held within one of his many private Estates within Albarosan borders; on this specific occasion, it was within his estate outside Cartagena. It was a largely unplanned affair, only around twenty-three participants in witness, sixteen originating from Pelagius’s court, essentially a part of his Family, numerous courtiers or rather commercial servants, & a few Albarosan Clergymen, including that of Reverend Bishop Ferdinand Ponce. The remaining participants were an array of Diocetal members, such as Hyspian & Santegians on goers inhabiting the area, awaiting to witness the upcoming historical event for themselves.

One or two Saints Minutes passed before Cr. Francisco & his entourage arrived within Pelagius’s throne room, the Cardinal was backed by his heir, Rodrigo Altimirano & Infante Leo Altimirano - accompanied by three Hyspian regulares garbed in red & clad in Santegian plate armour - alongside with this, Francisco showed up with two of his Clergymen, including Fr. Fernando, & of course the Baron of Cartagena: Teo Komnene. The Hyspian retinue bowed before his Eminence, sitting upon the white throne within the Dolorosan halls, decorated with brilliant designs & paintings, exotic parrots flying throughout the court ceiling - displaying the utter luxurious lifestyles of the common well off Albarosan Cleric enjoys.

Cardinal Pelagius would then begin to recite the Sacrament of Consecration upon his throne, headed by a quaint vessel of purified water - holding a Golden Horn at his left hand:

“As the Book of Godfrey says, ‘And Godfrey spoke ‘I have kept our faith, but Aegis is lost and the Grotto of Gamesh with it. No holy water may purify the sins of this world: I am unworthy.’ But Eshtael said ‘Lo, wickedness cannot undo what wickedness has done. Your home shall never return in your life. But know that God is great and the waters of Gamesh are His creation. He names the pure and the impure, the good and the evil.’”

“O Lord, You poured the sweet water into the rivers, and You blessed the waters of Gamesh that cleanse the faithful. You name the pure and the impure. We pray that You name these waters pure as well, that we may be renewed in Your Holiness.”

The Cardinal signs the Lorriane above the waters, once swaying the aforementioned Golden Horn into the pitcher.

“And lo! the waters of prophecy are purifying, and they spill forth to purify.”

Cardinal Francisco Nescia places his hand into the water, before placing a finger utop his forehead as he signs the Lorraine Cross upon it with the blessed water.

One of the Hyspain servicemen armoured in Regulare Uniform mentioned above; walks up to the dias in which the coronation was taking place, placing a flag displaying the Cross of St. Humbert & the Hyspian motto “CARA  AL SOL.” beside Cardinal Pelagius’s Throne. Once then, both Pelagius & Francisco shifted their view towards the crowd. Church bells rang & musicians blew their trumpets - Pelagius raised his fist in a passionate manner:

{Pelagius} “¡VIVA JULIA, REYE!”

{Crowd} “¡VIVA!”

{Pelagius} “¡ARRIBA HYSPIA!”

{crowd} “¡ARIBBA”

{Francisco} “¡ADELANTE HYSPIA.. VIVA EL REYE!”

The crowds during the coronation within Pelagius’s court began to celebrate jubilantly, waving their arms around whilst shouting a variety of phrases of praise, such as “¡VIVA PELAGIO!” & “¡VIVA ¡FRANCISCO!”.

Henceforth, a new crown has been set upon a new age of the White Hyspian History:

THE REIGN OF KING-ESCOPIOUS FRANCISCO NESCIA

1809 - onwards

Spoiler

When I say "White Hyspian" I mean Canonist Hyspian - like the Russian White Army, an oppositional force presiding their ideals within the Christian faith, similar to that of the Canonist Hyspians

Arthas II, an aspiring Royal Academy student of Haeseni Law and by extension, Canon Law, would overhear the proclamation in Norland from a drunken Hyspian in Elysium. 'Were these the ramblings of a drunkard or does this hold truth?' Arthas would ponder. He would clear out from Elysium's tavern as he ventures the roads to Haense for the Royal Academy of Saint Charles.

Upon reaching the Academy, he made his way to the area containing the law classroom. Hunting through the familiar shelves of knowledge, Arthas would eventually find it. The Codex of Canon Law. He blows the dust off the cover as the book clearly had not been attended to in quite some time and it was now time for Arthas to give it some love.

The carefully penned script would reveal its knowledge as the tired student studied the codex throughout the night in the halls of the academy. Sleep-deprived and eyes bloodshot, he would tuck in for the night before finally coming to an educated conclusion on this recent event.

As he tumbled in the night, Arthas would eventually wake to a stir as he reaches for the Codex he brought home with him. His eyes, no longer wrung with blood, would flip frantically through the Codex once more as he exhales a little heavier. "No.. no.. this is illegal. This is a blatant desecration of their own law. They can't appoint a King while Mr. Francisco retains the ecclesiastical office of being a Cardinal. He doesn't seem to have resigned his post yet. Given that Francisco is a Hyspian, he may also be furthering his own personal interests by taking this 'temporal' position. And isn't.. the vice-chancellor.." Arthas would flip back in the pages, "Yeah! He's encouraging a breach of the Canon Law by not asking him to resign. I can partially understand why this is happening, however it's a clear violation of the Canon Law and it's at the expense of the rest of their Church and the Hyspians, both 'White' and 'Red'. Let's just hope that the High Pontiff is not involved in this or this would be two Pontiffs in a row that violate their own Laws."

Arthas would trek back to the Kingdom of Norland, as he awaits a bird for the times of the next class. With the many thoughts on his mind, his interest in the goings on in Almaris' Bible Belt is piqued.
