The Great Mongol Khan 1091 Popular Post Share Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Folly of Elvenesse ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The drums of war are never a joyous sound, but oftentimes present themselves as an absolute necessity to a greater end... The elves within the leadership of Elvenesse reign as unholy alchemists, turning those who they could call friends and allies into enemies. And thus such a nation that fashioned itself after the ideas of Malinor has fallen into a paranoid stupor. They have ordered and poisoned the minds of their people to hate without reason and justification, creating a culture of isolation and suspicion amongst their population. The populace of Elvenesse knows little of the aggressions and actions of their leadership towards other factions of Mali and the lack of respect they receive from all other recognized nation states across Almaris. It is thus, within our spirits, that we must come to see the general population as brothers and sisters underneath the watchful eye of Father Malin. For it is not they who have sinned against the ideals of Mali culture, but the highest echelons of their leadership. I call forth to you, sons and daughters of Elvenesse; turn away from people and nations that no longer serve you or your future. The nation state that reigns over the domain that you walk, quakes in fear from the might of a united elven front against them. This aggression is only the consequence of actions taken by the leadership of Elvenesse and their cohorts to exile and isolate those that they deem are too unsafe to be around you. And thus the truth remains that they view you as cattle to be herded to their ideas, shunning any idea that deviates from the plans they have in store for you in their collective consciousness. Such a feeling of ownership over citizens of a nation is an unhealthy and unstable way to govern and cultivate a strong culture. It is this lack of a political culture and identity that makes them so quick to exile, isolate, and even execute or maim those that think differently from them. It is an inevitable truth that creating a long list of individual enemies will soon grow to see them collect together as one force against you. And such is the situation Elvenesse finds itself in, and due to this, greater Elfdom has grown to become more united than ever in this endeavour. We welcome you as our brothers and sisters, and such is our duty to each other. No political turmoil or world wars can get in the way of our duties to each other as the wider elven community. Many of you may find security and solace in the peaceful mountains of Malinor, others may find it in the crystal city of Haelun’or, or other smaller elven factions and territories. But the truth of the failure of your nation is beginning to unravel itself before your eyes as it did to me many years ago when I was exiled for little reason aside from a grudge. The smaller communities and friendships that you hold and cultivate are the only thing propping up the state of Elvenesse, when the reverse should exist; that the state creates a prosperous environment for all of its populace and provides them with ample security to thrive and raise their children. If you do so seek to, as I implore you, then in Malin’s name we welcome you back to the greater elven community. Brothers and sisters of Mali, we have much work to do. -Cyrus Inacrynn, Elder of Malinor ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited March 9, 2021 by The Great Mongol Khan
MikoMonster 1393 Share Posted March 9, 2021 "Step back into the light, friends." A war-torn Lylianth Ithelanen murmurs, standing nowhere near a fireplace to resist her elven urge to burn parchment! Her partner lay dead, and yet she welcomed them.
excited 10833 Share Posted March 9, 2021 Kairn looked out from the grizzly scene of the woods near Elvenesse, his lips contorted into a sneer. Vengeance would be had for the extrajudicial murder of his son. He finished honing his longsword upon a wet stone and called upon his Gods for aid - he would see to it that all those who had taken the life of his boy would meet a fate worse than death. His fingers clenched as a silver necklace dangled from his fingertips by narrow chains, and then proceeded to clasp it around his neck. The Druid looked to the distance where a tree had begun to grow from the pit he had dug days earlier. A pit filled with the remains of insurrectionists from Elvenesse. From there, Brother Leatherback committed himself to growing the tree again, the organic thing mulching the dead bodies beneath it and entangling its roots with their burrowed cadavers like a foul snake. To a father grieving, There was nothing more sweet than revenge.
Sefardi 1455 Share Posted March 9, 2021 "Such is a shame to watch one's kin fall so far from grace. We will bring glory and pride to the name of Malin, as our father would have wanted." Remarks the Sovereign of Malinor before returning to the construction of Luminaire.
Child Neglecter 2134 Share Posted March 9, 2021 A soldier, eyes wroth in cruel nature, clenched about his pipe - emptying the contents unto the grasses beneath. It had been long enough; all he'd sought to bring to those who sought only to deny his God, and aid his enemies, would now come. Soon enough, his shovel would come to use. "One has withdrawn from amongst the rank of the vermin; those few who reside within those walls who I trust must begone, lest they face what fate the knife-eared ilk will face. War comes; let the earth be rend asunder." muttered he, gripping at the shovel; work was to be done.
Xx_BloodStalk_xX 2120 Share Posted March 9, 2021 @MikoMonsterHovered behind the armored widow, that familiar sage previewed the missive prior to hearing her full-hearted plea to the nonexistent bystanders, her kin. The man glanced to her then, after such a comment, taking a moment to finish reading the document's message before moving to sit near her. "They say the pen is mightier than the sword," He began to utter as he did so, his figure relaxing against the spine of his chair. "I do nay know if that is true in this instance."
Hush 9 Share Posted March 9, 2021 Farren stood tall as she read the message. Anger building up enough in her body that the blonde patches of skin against her dark grey body turned a deep hated red. "This city will burn, the silver skin has no right to call my homeland such. They will all die in the end due to whatever sorry excuse they have left for honor." The Mali'ker would spit at the ground below the message before walking off, her rage growing to great for the silver folk to handle.

TheCapybara 1803 Share Posted March 9, 2021 "Hm..." Alyssa Seregon said with a curious tone - but, after a couple of seconds of looking up and down on the words written down, she'd toss the notice into the flames. The mali'aheral seemed to simply not care of the affairs in Elvenesse. After she would toss the notice into the roaring flames, within her nice and cozy home, located in Karosgrad, she'd take a sip from her tea and then a bite of a random cookie from the array chocolate chip cookies on a plate which was place onto the side of her desk. Phersades 1164 Share Posted March 10, 2021 Celia'ii Siardarr would pace back and forth, reading over the missive carefully.. She clung to each word, and held the message close to her heart. A sense of pride filling her greatly as she finished reading. "Well Written, Cyrus.." She mumbled under her breath as ran through her thoughts on the future of Malinor, and the city being constructed. "There is so much beauty seen in Elvenesse, too bad those who defend the walls and their people do not meet the same standards."
Caelria 2618 Share Posted March 12, 2021 "A folly indeed. May the children of Malin find a home in Malinor, thus that as it was before so too shall it be again, for Haelun'or seeks only that Elvenkind prosper under just rule. Not that of terrorists and degenerates."
