The Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska would like to extend an invitation to all the members of the Iron Accord and their citizens, The Silver State of Haelun’or and its citizens, and the City State of Yong Ping and its citizens to come celebrate the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of Independence from the Holy Orenian Empire. The year will be packed with a fair, tavern events, mass, a tournament, and a ball to celebrate. 

 

Events:

1. Court and petitions to King, then afterward a trade fair in the back garden.
   (Monday, March 15th, @4 PM EST | @9 PM GMT | @1 PM PST | 3 PM CST, Palace/Park)

2. Tavern Tuesday
   (Tuesday, March 16th, All day)

3. Break day
   (Wednesday, March 17th, All day)

4. Mass and confession held by Cardinal Alfred
   (Thursday, March 18th, @4 PM EST | @9 PM GMT | @1 PM PST | 3 PM CST, Karosgrad Church) 

5. PVP Tournament at Greyspine
   (Friday, March 19th, @4 PM EST | @9 PM GMT | @1 PM PST | 3 PM CST, Greyspine)

6. Closing Ball with HRA / KNIGHT ‘parade’
   (Saturday, March 20th, @3 PM EST | @8 PM GMT | @12 AM PST | @2 PM CST, Palace)                                                                                                                                            

      

COURT AND TRADE FAIR:

Being used as an opportunity for the Haeseni market and its merchants to actively practice free trade collectively and in one place, a Trade Fair will be held after the Court, in which already-sold and stocked stalls will be selling their produce to anyone interested. With the business owners encouraged to be there and practice their trade face-to-face with the customers present, more activities will be held in order to make the event more unique and exciting.

 

These will be introduced as a set of common event games, including but not limited to:

• Carrion Black Drinking Contest

• Dunking Contest

• Jousting Tournament

• Renian Shuffle

… and any other on-the-spot activities and games that may be contributed.

 

Whilst these will be held in a more idle manner throughout the Trade Fair, so to allow for actual trading to be conducted, a saint’s hour into the Fair, an auction will be held.

 

With a multitude of goods being sold in this auction for any excited consumers to bid on, merchants will be able to put in their own goods to auction away, allowing for the steady and natural flow of currency to take place further. This auction will be coordinated and overseen by the Royal Treasurer, so to ensure a smooth process.

 

Once the Trade Fair has finally finished, the rented stalls will be allowed to operate in their designated places for the next Saint’s week.

 

TAVERN TUESDAY:

Join the citizens of Hanseti-Ruska for a day of drinking and relaxing in the Old Stout Crow Pub. Enjoy the national drink of the nation, Carrion Black as we take a break from the festivities. Perhaps, if the festivities grow rowdy enough, we will have another Bard Battles to celebrate!

 

BREAK DAY:

Spend the day wandering around Karosgrad, shopping, eating and drinking as the second part of the festivities are being set up. Enjoy a carrion black while playing some Haeseni Chess or Lafst. Wander about the gardens or enjoy a peaceful stroll along the docks. Shops will be open selling their latest wares as the kingdom takes a breather.
 

MASS:

Join the kingdom for a mass in the beautiful Basilica of St. Henrik held by Cardinal Alfred. Shortly following will be time for confession should any citizen or visitor wish to do so, allowing a release from problems and worries whilst the festivities continue. 

 

TOURNAMENT AT GREYSPINE:

 

On this day, a tournament shall be held at the Margraviate of Greyspine, highlighting the mettle and strength of the great warriors who wish to participate. With a handsome reward of 100 minas to the tournament’s champion, it should be an exciting series of matches. After the tournament has concluded guests will be invited inside of the palace for further merriment and fun.

 

CLOSING BALL:

The year long festival shall end with a parade to kick off the ball. Watch as the HRA and Knights of Haense escort the Koeng and Koenas to the closing night, where dancing and drinking shall commence - much like it did when the kingdom first gained independence. All are welcome to dance and drink to their heart’s content as we finish up the festival with the grand celebration!

Mister Speaker Igor Kort prepares himself for quite the eventful year training his body, especially his liver, for the drinking contest. "I can't wait to get absolutely waste- I mean enjoy in the festivities of our independence day!"

Queen Mother Isabel read over the missive with a wide smile upon her visage, recalling the day Haense was given their independence. She recalled men and women running out into the streets cheering as her late husband rode back from the meeting. Never had she seen the Kingdom so united and so joyous.
