♞ Knight’s Table: The main meeting ground for knights, the Knight Table should be observed as a sacred formality. Before each meeting starts, Knights are required to bare their weapons and lay them on the table as a symbol of peace and brotherhood. Squires are required to stand behind their Knights at the meeting, and serve them food and drink. None besides Knights and Squires should be allowed to observe a sitting of the Table.

♞ Honour: A romantic sense of honour should affect how a Knight holds themselves. Any suggestion that a Knight has acted with dishonor must generally be vindicated. It is, however, a little more nuanced; for example, if a peasant called a Knight dishonorable, the honorable thing would be to not to rise to their challenge, for they are beneath the Knight. If someone of the Knight’s station or above, however, insinuated dishonour, the Knight would be obliged to defend it. This applies not only for their own honour, but also that of their charges - so, for example, if they were guarding a princess as they were so offended, the Knight would be bound to defend them.

♞ Ranking: The Order of the Crow contains twelve seats at the Knights Table, and the Knights of the Order are ranked accordingly. The Knight Paramount is the 1st Knight of the Table, while the 2nd Knight of the Table is the Meyster Knight. Thereafter, Knights are ranked by seniority or merit.

♞ The Knights Tribunal: If a Knight is to ever brake the Code of Chivalry, he shall be summoned to stand before the rest of the Knights, and the Knight Paramount in a trial, where the others knights are to judge whether on not the accused is fit to continue his services as a Knight. If the disgrace he's brought to the Knightly Orders shows to be too great, and the other Knights don't judge him worthy of continuing his Knighthood, the accused shall be discharged with the consent of the crown.

♞ Faithfulness and Fealty: The Knights of Hanseti-Ruska hold their keen sense of loyalty above all. Whether it be in front of the King himself, or other members of Royalty. They are to clench their fists and press that hand to their chests, signifying their heart and self belongs to the Kingdom and the family who rules it.

♞ Brotherhood: As one joins the order of the Knights of Hanseti-Ruska, they conform into a brotherhood of comrades and life-buddies who will fight in battles and protect their country valiantly under the banner of the Koeng. In most circumstances, the Knights may talk informally amongst themselves to unify a sense of union and brotherhood; formal talks may be done in the presence of Royalty or when on duty.

♞ Temperate: A Knight of Haenseti-Ruska must learn to show self-restraint in their noble lands or other esteemed fiefs. Usually, it is honourable to not fight those unarmed -- the only excuse of breaking such being if the country is under threat or if Royalty is at risk of being harmed, or chastised. An example of temperance is: not fighting someone of the lower-class, showing leniency to those unarmed (even if criminals) such as baring fists instead of blades. On top of this, a Knight of Haenseti-Ruska must learn to hold their tongue in public; berating one or attempting to break one's image is seen as cowardly. In battles, a Knight must remain temperate; a life of a Knight is to represent the Koeng and thus cannot die in a dishonourable way. A knight may only fall in battle if it is worthy of them -- a valiant, heroic death that saves lives or brings praise to the country. This cannot be used as an excuse of cowardice, it is important for a knight to lay their lives down in an intrepid, valorous way.

♞ Duelling: In most cases, a Knight of Haenseti-Ruska will speak with swords and not with their tongue. If a knight is offended, they may challenge their offender through duels (if they are of the same rank as them). Of course, a valiant knight cares not of petty insults from the peasantry; this should only apply to those nobles attempting to berate them. The same applies to a Knight, they may not deny a request for a duel, this being seen as cowardly and dragging the name of their Knightly Order into the dirt (unless challenged by someone of the lower-class, which is seen as a waste of time).

♞ Battle Etiquette: A Knight of Haenseti-Ruska may not indulge in displaying acts of violent aggression or sloth. In order to maintain an image of loyalty, knowledge and being head-fast, one must remain stoic and show no fear. Henceforth, shouting is something uncommon for knights to do -- this includes war-cries. A Knight will generally offer a small prayer prior to their battle; a verse from their patron saint or otherwise calling the name of their Koeng and Kingdom. On the contrary, a Knight of Haenseti-Ruska is able to shout commands to those far away as long as it displays no emotions; a simple command of retreat, to charge and etcetera.

♞ Freewill of the Knight: The Knights of Hanseti-Ruska, are naturally bound to their King and Country. However, this does not hinder them from acting as the men they are -- paragons, in a sense. During times of peace and amity amongst other nations, Knights are often seen coming to the service and aid of lesser nations, and sometimes those which are prosperous. This extends anywhere from bringing a brigand menace to an end; engaging in acts of charity; slaying that realm of any doleful beasts; or even, heeding the governance of that realm -- reminding them to act mindfully.

♞ Patron Knight: Upon being knighted, or even after the ceremony, a member of the Royal family may select a Knight as their patron Knight. This entails that the selected Knight be bound to that Royal member in a sense -- serving as wise company, while also offering their own sage advice and fighting specifically for that member of the ruling family; in duels, or in their name before the tides of battle. Depending on the status of a Royal member, they may have more than one Patron Knight. The ruling monarch as example, may bear up to three knights -- although, this is typically only the case when either, the knights are numerous, or the Royal Family are with fewer heads.

♞  Remembrance in Death: In battle, a Knight will face challenges -- in some of these battles, many will lose their lives. As a knight dies honourably for their Koeng and Kingdom, we ensure they are remembered for eons to come. This is done through a small memorial in recognition of their servitude as a valorous knight of Haenseti-Ruska. Normally, the unique weapon provided to a Knight at the beginning of their service is kept in a sacred room within the Palace; it is a place where others may come to see the blades of those Knights who used it to conquer the battlefield. Normally, their helmets are placed on top of their graves where the headstone is erected; the headstone clearly states their title of [Ser / Dame] and then their [Moniker]. On top of this, two dates are presented: one of their birth to their death, and one of their beginning servitude as Knight to their ending servitude as Knight.

♞  Ascension to Paramount: Eventually, a new Paramount of the Knightly Order will come into charge and take the mantle of the prior Knight Paramount. Before the Knight is declared as paramount, all other knights in the order will begin to forge a singular ceremonial blade in unison. Usually, this is done to show the shared hard work provided equally by each and every knight when crafting this ceremonial blade. Once this ceremonial blade is complete, it will be provided to the Koeng. Finally, the Koeng will - in public - dub the Knight as Paramount. This is where the Paramount may begin their service.

Ser Oliver nodded proudly towards his Knight Paramount. "This is a good use of paper; it was not burnt, but written on!" He exclaimed with zeal.

"I have already shown that such a rule, viz. that knights must not decline a request for a duel, is a hateful one, unworthy of the Canonist profession, and clearly the knight would be sinning if he fought on such trivial grounds as personal honour. They should rather fear the eternal dishonour of the Void which iniquitous actions merit!" Says Philip.
