Ayliana Maehr’tehral was never one to be in the spotlight, she always stayed in the back of the crowd, spoke quietly, and kept to herself all throughout her life.

She was raised by her brother, the infamous Nelgauth Maehr’tehral, from a young age, the patriarch of the family taught Ayliana the traditions and customs of Haelun’or, making sure she grew up into a proper young lady.

She was well read, spoken, and polite. Always referring to those around her as “Mister” and “Misses”. She bowed her head to those in respect and always saw the good in others.

Despite the hardships in her life she always managed to smile, and never let the darkness people showed her dim the light of others around her.

She was kind, compassionate, and always put others' needs before her own. The head physician of the Haelunorian clinic was everything you’d think of her to be. Her laughter and playful personality brought a light to those around her.

Especially Kiljarys an Iarwain. The Okarir’tir of Haelun’or. Ayliana claims it to be love at first sight, though she was always one to read far too many fairy tales.

The two met during Ayliana’s many trips back and forth to Haelunor before deciding to officially make residence there. They spoke a few times, her shy personality seeming to make it difficult for her to communicate with him. Though with the help of her close friend Rowan, she got the push and confidence she needed.

It started off with a few awkward exchanges, if you ask anyone within the blessed silver state they’d say the two were always seen with faces as bright as the apples that hung on the trees outside the city when near one another.

Then, it slowly started to form into a friendship, Ayliana often confiding in Kiljarys of her internal struggles regarding her family and it’s now tainted mark on the city.

The Maehr’tehral name was no longer a proud one within the state, and Ayliana was there to change that. She told him of all her plans, to start up her own cosmetics and tailory business. He’d smile as she spoke of her passions, encouraging her to follow her dreams.

Then finally, the botanist had asked the warrior if he’d like to accompany her into the woods to help her look for herbs for her studies. He agreed and the two contrasting individuals made their way into the woods.

First, Kiljarys took her to a beautiful meadow filled with flowers. There were hundreds, even thousands of flowers in full bloom all around them.

He had shown her his magic, conjuring up a rabbit that had rested on her lap, Ayliana was absolutely amazed. She didnt see Kiljarys for what most did, but as a poet, someone with a love of magic.

They soon continued their journey, venturing forth into the deep woods so that Ayliana may safely collect what she needed.

Ayliana had needed a herb that had made it’s home on the side of a tree branch up high, she’d begun to climb the tree, leaving Kiljarys looking up at her with worry as she continued to climb high.

Now, the botanist had gotten what she needed, however disaster struck as the branch beneath her broke.

The worried warrior  saw this coming, and with ease caught her right into his arms. The two looked one another in the eyes as he stood there holding her. It was then and there they had confessed their love for one another. Officially starting their courtship.

He’d send her poems, gifts, and constantly reassure her with words of affection. All Ayliana was not used to receiving.

The two were inseparable, only seen apart when Kiljarys had left the state on Sillumir duties. While it was rough at first, Ayliana admitting her past life living with the ‘ame, they pulled through.

Finally, the word of a masquerade ball has made very pleasant gossip all within the ivory walls of Haelun’or. Ayliana quickly sewing herself up a gown as she excitedly prepared for the event. She was to dance with Kiljarys, and all were to witness the two together hand in hand.

They had spent many hours practicing within the Okarir’s office the dances they were to perform at the ball. Many toes were stepped on, yet many laughs shared as well. The rough warrior being delicate with his flower as if he were scared one wrong move might break the fragile being.

The day of the ball had finally come, and the two danced the night away. Ayliana looked only into Kiljarys’ eyes the whole night as if nothing else in the world had mattered to her.

As she danced with him, her troubles melted away. Restoring her family’s honor, the friends she had to leave behind, the past lovers who were cruel to her yet still walking the earth. None of that mattered to her as she was in his arms.

It was a magical night indeed, the couple knowing nothing but pure peace and content in that moment.

Once the night was over, Kiljarys had pulled her aside from all the commotion. Running off with her outside of the city and back to the same meadow they had their first moment in.

Ayliana looked around the field of flowers with a fond smile, remembering the time they shared here.

Until Kiljarys turned to his beloved, smiling down to her as he slowly pulled out a large sapphire ring and got down on one knee.

Ayliana, will you marry me?”

Overcome with emotions the little flower burst out into tears, nodding her head as she accepted his proposal. The two sharing a long embrace before making their way back to the city.

It was there Ayliana shared the news to the new family and friends she had made within the Silver City.

She had come from a broken home, unsure of herself and where she wanted to be in life. Leaving her old life behind with nothing but a few clothes and a picture of all her family.

Yet, Haelunor seemed to have fixed all her problems. Her broken family now replaced with one who even welcomed her into their own home so she may have a place to rest. Her purpose in life was fulfilled as she was now head physician, working hard to educate the youth.

She was happy, she was home, she was loved, yet most importantly, she was found again.”

Ayliana finished up writing, closing her journal slowly as she looked over to her bookshelf, dozens of fairy tales lining up it’s walls. She smiled

“It really is something out of a fairy tale, isn't it?”

She’d ask the lazy cat sitting on her lap as she gently ran her fingers through it’s fur. Looking to the cover of her journal where an open space for a title lay bare, she picked up her pen and wrote in “A night to remember”  before storing her journal with the many others that accompanied her fairy tales on her large bookshelf.

And with that, she turned off her light, crawling into bed and closing her eyes as she drifted asleep.. Wondering what the next day within the silver city may bring.

Maruthir gently closed Ayliana's journal upon finishing the entry. His expression soft, as his gaze drifted from the piece to his dear older sister. So he could watch her glistening person melt further into bliss.

He pursed his lips, "After all this time, you've finally found the one."

He exchanged his hold from over the journal, to over her intertwined hands. "I'm happy for you, lari'onn. I cannot wait until I am able to walk you down the aisle to your forever."
