The authors artistic interpretation of Ramdir's attempts at finding a wife

THE QUANDARY OF AMADOR

Amador; The New Viscounty; The Blue and Gold Owl

The unmarriageable Viscount, The undesired boy

How could a boy be terrible enough that even a peasant girl couldn’t put up with him for nobility, for the title of Viscountess? Well, perhaps it wasn’t all Ramdir the Reject, perhaps his house entirely is to blame. Imagine being such a failure of a house, so terribly going that a King has to threaten to marry you off? What is left of Amador in its current state? Two extraordinary women that managed to escape the empty headedness of their birth? Pathetic, that two women had to marry out of Amador in order to get away from the horror that is their ancestry. Mayhaps that is why no one will marry the Viscount, the women of the house must run from it to be able to achieve their full potential.

The history of Amador, or at least the recent history since New Reza, is rooted in only money laundering and taxes. How charismatic. None of these successful Amadors were even from the main line; the main line of Amador seems to enjoy living off of their cousins successes and ignoring succession laws. Rennard Amador, the voidal mage treasurer, was a cousin of Baron Ruslan the Useless III (who did nothing but hold the Mondstadt title until his Granddaughter could bypass his own sons and daughters in the proper Haeseni succession laws), and achieved much more than his cousin, who did nothing of note. Alongside Rennard, Edvard Amador, the recently passed treasurer of Haense, was Ruslan the Useless III’s brother, and achieved much more than him.

Now of course, the mention of bypassing the line of succession. You see, under Ruslan III, his first son died leaving two daughters before Ruslan III passed. Ruslan III had three living children, putting all three before Sosina or Ingrid Amador for the title. Now, it could be argued that Warren Amador has been unseen for years and therefor not able to inherit, but at the time of Ruslan III’s passing, Charlotte Amador (now passed), was still alive and well, making her at the time the rightful heir to Mondstadt. This means that the main line of house Baruch now has a higher claim to the title of Amador, than Ramdir! Perhaps we should be calling young Petyr Baruch The Right Honorable Viscount instead of Ramdir the Reject.

Continuing on about this succession mishap, where oh where did Sosina’s red hair come from? Looking at the family tree, there’s no traceable ancestor with this phenomenon! Sosina’s mother, Viktoria Stafyr, coming from the Ruberni Princess, Aleksandra Alimar (With black hair, and both black haired parents), and Count Alaric Stafyr (With brown hair, and brown and black haired parents), had no way of bringing red hair, a red headed Alimar or red headed main line Stafyr is unheard of! For Sosina’s father as well, from the main line of Amador, with no previous red hair, and the line of Ludovar, which comes from Barbanov, clearly also has no red hair. Is Ramdir’s mother even an Amador? Is the Viscount the child of a usurper bastard, or did both Sosina and Ingrid just randomly develop this new trait? Viktoria Stafyr’s brother is of course the treasonous and executed Hektor Stafyr (May he rot), so it wouldn’t be too far to say that perhaps Viktoria shared his dishonor. It is of course up to the reader, but one must question this sudden and consistent change of trait for the main line of Amador.

Perhaps we should also check in on their current involvement in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska? Or more accurately, the lack of it. Amadors in the Haeseni Royal Army? None. When was the last duma bill put forth by the House of Amador? Sosina Amador, trying to give non-descendants the same rights as humans! Perhaps before they worry about the rights of the non-descendants, they should worry about their own contributions to the Kingdom, and not making the King give them handouts and forcing their success through threatening betrothals. Even with the King's help, I worry for their continued success and the poor woman that finds herself married soon.

"Hmmmm... people really scared to speak in public these days huh?" huffed Ser Brandt Barclay "Could be good for some people to grow a pair just for the hell of it more than anything" he'd then add "Nicht Haeseni to hide behind anonymity like this."

Speaker Igor chuckles as he reads the published missive "My my... first it was 'hearsay' and now its 'whispers'. In any case, the young Vikomit seems to be a hot topic when it comes to gossip. I pity the young lad, though hopefully he see's this nothing more than gossip." Igor then places the missive down and then continues to sip his tea in his office.

An Elfess would scoff in disgust upon reading the article. "Mayhaps you can say it to their faces next time, ael'valah. This is unbecoming of someone who claims to be Edlervik.

"Weak bait!" Alija would exclaim in his letters to his friends back home, who were residents of Aeldenic Bosna-Banard as he spoke of this missive.

The boy reads over the missive, before ripping up the paper. "Lots of Scheiß for a person hiding their name, come out and say it yourself clown. No honor in hiding your name."

Sosina Amador, philanthropist and novice ghost-slayer, rolls her eyes in her grave; for she had died of a severely allergic reaction to a bee sting years ago.  "It's a shame that these fans of that horrid playwright's stories of 'Brigaderton' fancy themselves clever and find it amusing to insult an ancient family of Hanseti-Ruska!  If only they could pay attention to the history books, and know of my red-haired ancestors of Mondstadt of yore; Godan blessed my sister and I with uniqueness of our relatives long past, so that we might break away from the dark tones of normality in the Kingdom." Her words of complaint, however, fall upon the deaf years of limbo; her soul continued to wander aimlessly.  Horribly, horribly lost.

[!] An anonymous reply, written and scrawled in ornate hand, is copied and pinned around the city of Karosgrad. The corners of the parchment seemed to be slightly-coated with lingering frost.

"To the poor author of this foolish scrap of paper,

I advise you decide what the remainder of your days shall consist of. You have attempted to tarnish the name of my descendants and have now attracted my attention. This is something you should've feared when you first decided to bring such lies to parchment in the first place. Your claims of auburn hair are especially false, considering the first Ramdir Amador's own mother, Abrielle, had bright red hair that was passed down to her children and grandchildren. I understand that your clear-lack of education prevented you from investigating this matter beyond hearsay and gossip.

I will give you a single saint's week to recant these claims. If not, I will find you and take your writing hand. It won't be difficult. I act on my own, but I will act. rest-assured."

The old man Rennard would sit behind his desk and burst out in a laughing state as he read over this peice of garbage that was laid before his eyes. "Clearly this man has no idea what he speaks of." He would go grabbing a old Amador history book from his room as he looked back to Ramdir the first history "Ahh" he exclaims, "Ramdir the first and the old souldblade line from way yonder in Asulon had a trait of red hair. His wife he also married had red hair." He would go closing his book as he put it back on the shelf "This man is merely a fool as he knows nit of Amador, it nae matters if ye are a cousin or the main branch we work together as a family we nae care for petty indifference." The old man would lean back in his chair smoking away on his cigar laughing at the foolishness of this paper.
