Background/Origin

Electric evocation is a voidal magic that voidal mages have developed over the many years that voidal mages have been a thing. It’s the art of casting an idea into the void but this idea not being an element like fire, earth, air or water but a random event that may or may not happen, that of a bolt booming from the sky and shocks the ground below. Mages only sought to harness this violent event to obtain power from it, but little did they know that there is more to this event than a simple booming bolt, this dying art is the art of electric evocation.

Magic Explanation

Electric Evocation works by casting the idea of static electricity into the void using the willpower of the mage and their mana to go with to create and replicate that of the real world static charge. This static charge can be slowly shaped into something which the mage wishes it to be. As electricity is normally invisible, this isn’t the case for electric evocation, sparks can be visually seen around the casting point of the mage due to the sparks and the danger which is this magic these sparks can harm the mage if not controlled properly. This would mean that electric evocation is more draining magic than the other evocations, rather than taking small amounts of mana from the mage would feel twice as tired from performing this magic within a combat setting, making the magic as a whole a hard controlled magic.

  • Electric Evocation takes up [1] Magic slot, is not a feat.

  • Electric Evocation requires a stable connection to the void and enough mana to statin it.

  • Electric Evocation is a subclass of Evocation which classes it as a Voidal Magic

  • Electric Evocation can be learned from an active [TA] in the magic.

  • Electric Evocation users must hold a valid [MA] to use in-game.

  • Electric Evocation requires someone to already have a voidal magic to start learning.

Properties of Electric

Electric evocation properties are ranging from a burn to a numbness upon the skin, due to the element itself being a randomly occurring event, performing any of the electrical evocation magic is a double-sided dagger, may cause more damage to the casting their the foe they wish to fight.

  • Static can only do a max of a 3rd-degree burn

  • Static will cause numbness to the body which it has been aimed towards unless wearing something that conducts electricity

  • Static being made from the void will return to the void if the connection is disrupted

  • Static can travel through metals that conduct electricity, however, will not jump from person to person, but will cause numbness to the whole body of an armoured foe that wears something that conducts rather than a single limb.

  • Electric Evocation cannot fry nerves.

  • Electric Evocation cannot stop hearts or restart them.

  • Unable to travel through liquids.

  • Static can create force if concentrated

Abilities/Spells

[N] Conjure Sparks/Static

The first ability which a mage learns when being taught electric evocation is the art of sparks and static. This being rather small in effect but flavorful a mage can invoke sparks or static in non-combative settings, slowly as the mage progressives through the tiers the mage can slowly learn how to manipulate their voidal static/sparks into different shapes which they desire.

Mechanics

Skill level - Non-Combat spell has a maximum radius of 10 meters at tier four, the detail level of static/sparks is refined in detail at this level. This stage is typically where they have fully grasped  their abilities and how to use them effectively in combative experiences and the colour of the static into colours that they choose.

T5 Master

The electrical evocationist has fully mastered the evocation and is capable of conjuring very high concentrations of static when needed and possesses far greater combative and non-combative capabilities. They can use all the spells of electric evocation.

Spells - Conjure Sparks/Static, Shock, Static Ball, Static Bolt, Static Concentration, Static Stream, Static Storm

Skill level - Non-Combat spell has a maximum radius of 20 meters at tier five, the detail level of static/sparks can be very refined in detail at this level and can create works of art from static alone. At this stage, they have fully mastered both combative and non-combative electric evocation.

A lore project brought to you by the

 RedeemableGoons Group

I just want to do funny pins and needles rp with my favourite magic group of the void on some homies, please allow my dream to come true, love RedeemableGoon xXx/ Numbing cream with extra steps. Will change if a good point is made while waiting for it to go under-review

P.S We rushed this XD xxx

P.S.S. More serious note, after reading a lot of attempts at rewriting this magic I’ve personally disliked that most of the aspect was just, lighting goes boom rather than just a more funny enjoyable part of simple numbing of the body and pushing, this write was put in mind to be kinda more for spice but also just simply being enjoyable, I personally like the idea of electric being less of zap you’re dead to zap, arms asleep, for we all have had our leg fall asleep because we sat on it, this is what I want when I get hit in the face with electric evocation, my limbs to fall asleep rather than instant death. Give me sleepy time magic or give me death!

P.S.S.S plz accept my sleepytime magic.

No offense of course. It's well written and you clearly put effort into it, but I breathed a huge sigh of relief when they got rid of electric evo the first time. Electricity is inherently more powerful than most things, and makes for too powerful of a force to easily be balanced. I'd rather not get all my own magics blown out of the water by this.

The only options with VOIDAL electric evocation are as follows:

  1. Make overpowered lightning magic.
  2. Or make almost pointless shock based magic.

I am sorry, its best to let it slumber eternally. It adds, barely anything, to roleplay either way.
