~ Overview ~

 

Time and time again, the Crown of Elvenesse are met with nigh outlandish demands of issues withheld and not properly communicated, on account of our citizenry and their actions. Diplomatic shortcomings prop roadblock after roadblock. In a strong effort to combat this, the office of the Lord Exarch issues this notice, both domestically and abroad, in the interest of furthering relations and shaping a better Elvenesse for Mali'.

~ Rationale ~

 

Any and all citizenry of Elvenesse found to be in contempt of foreign law is liable for extradition, as negotiable with any foreign party with the office of the Judiciary and the office of Diplomacy.

Furthermore, any individual found to be impersonating the role as a diplomat of Elvenesse, through word or conduct, will be charged with Treason. Any individual who attempts claiming diplomatic authority or making unauthorized diplomatic efforts with other nations will henceforth be subject to a charge of High Treason.

In addition; this is a call to civility and diplomacy across the landscapes of the colloquially known Almaris in regards to the Crown of Elvenesse. Our ears are open to all who wish to discuss matters in a reasonable fashion with our diplomatic offices as they occur, efforts spearheaded by Exarch Cullas “Blackstar” Sylvaeri. Our offices pledge to ensure peace, and fair justice in all matters involved, so that sullied relations can begin anew, working towards peace in our time.

The Lady Governor of the Augustine Palace, Anna Henrietta, places the missive upon the desk of the heir to Oren, John Charles. He scans it over and sets it down with a solemn sigh.

“How unfortunate,” he says. “The states of Almaris seem far more concerned with war and hatred than diplomacy and civilization. It seems only those who have earned the ire of our fellow descendants have realized that there may be a better way; one of peace, prosperity, and trade. The Foreign Office shall always be open to those states and peoples that would prefer collaboration and friendship to bloodshed. We will defend our way of life, and we shall protect our people and friends, but we will never succumb to pressures and threats. I truly believe a world order where we uphold good morals and relations between states is achievable, but it can only be accomplished if we do it together.”

He concludes with a quiet prayer from the canonist scrolls. “And Horen calls forth Godfrey and Malin, and speaks unto them ‘Lo, in your days you were each tempted with pride, and the world suffered. For Malin, you ruled beyond your days, and Godfrey, beyond your virtue. And by God’s will, I redeem you of your failures, and send you to work peace upon it.”

Anna Henrietta listened to the Crown Prince’s rambles. as she had grown accustomed to. 
 

“Why can we not all get along as GODs children?” she’d say under her breath longingly and with some dramatics. “The sin of greed blinds the children of the first four. Shame it is.”

Solomon Takezo reads over the missive with one eyebrow cocked, and takes a moment to rub his forehead. 
 

“The fact that they got Evar’tir of all people to be willing to do this is quite impressive, but at least it means there is hope of change. Perhaps my fellow Yong Ping diplomats would be willing to consider, now that their policies have changed a bit. All that mess with Krugmar has put them in quite the bad place, and I wish Feanor the best in gaining the allies he desperately needs. Elvenesse is too beautiful a place with too many good people to simply be allowed to be destroyed at the Rex’s whim.”

 

He lowers the note, then, and sets to penning his own.
