Julietta Maria Collection

Following the departure of Julietta Maria, the old Dowager of Vîlachia, and Baronetess of Napoliza. An Auction is to be held in Providence for the wardrobe of the icon of the 1730's. Selling pieces for both children and adults.

 

As a child, the young girl was left to herself, with only the guidance of her elder sister while her parents dealt with the abdication of Adria. She had a significant allowance and was known to be a shopaholic, even in her marital years. A great woman who looked up to the icon before her, her Aunt Anabel of Curon. Who's fashion she admired, and held inspiration for, following many years of her life.

Italian Flower

This gown was one of the oldest remaining in Julietta's collection, being a gift from her mother Emigliana when the Varoche children were sent to Helena shortly after their fathers abdication. An illatian themed gown of fine silks and skilled embroidery.

Imperial Elegance

One of the most Iconic piece's of Julietta's collection from the days of her adolescence when she shined to the courts in the 1720's as a young girl. Akin to most girls of those times, adorned in the traditional Empire of Man purple and black. Favoring the use of refined, imported Suitican silks. The particular gown that made her the envy among the other girls of the courts. Having sewn the gown herself in honor of the fashions of her Imperial Majesty, Empress Adeline of Alstion.

 

Mourning Silks

Varoche themed skirts worn under noir mourning garbs with Haenseti cotton collar and sleeves. A gown Vespira had stitched by hand through the night after her mother had murdered her father, and the guards of Ves struck her down. A gown she was seen wearing often in Helena, and soon Haense after being taken in from the Pontiff after her and her siblings had been orphaned. Allowing them to once more return to their families palace, however remaining under republic rule.

Courtships Bliss

A gown perfectly designed to modestly conceal a woman's- Godly curvatures. This lovely peach number was worn with a bear fur cloak by Julietta after her friend Laurentina had proposed a courtship between her and the Count James Marna. She was seen wearing it out with the young lord often, including her formal introduction to Ravensburg. In which she stood by James while his fool danced for them in court. The fabric purposely chosen to display her growing affections. Only to fade, and never come to fruition.

Queen of Roses

As the young Lady blossomed into society, she did so with a bang. Upon a faithful ball in Ves, the King of Kaedrin had thrown in celebration of his finding a wife. He invited woman from across the empire to compete with the greatest of rose themed gowns. Julietta stole the show between her natured mother's appearance and her clever use of rose embroidery in her showstopper.

Duty to Family

An outfit that remained in style for many years up to the 1750's, when the Dowager's firstborn took to wearing it herself. This is one of Julietta's more favored pieces, yet became rarely worn after the day her Husband Janos had dueled her beloved James Marna for her hand in marriage, following a disagreement with her brother. James had won the day, but following her brothers instructions when given the chance, she chose to court Janos. James had left the capital. And Julietta retired the elegant gown. Even her days as a widow she never wore it again. Some of her maids believed she carried a torch for James even after she married.

 

Honor

As Julietta and her husband rose in the courts of the young Marna Emperor, her husband had gained permission to take the titles of his father after his brother disregarded the word of the Emperor Achilles. Julietta, despite spending more than ever, as the young wealthy couple had been known to do, favored wearing the modest circlet of her mother in her memory as she grew into her Emigliana's face with maturity. However as her husband won more tournaments, he grew more of a glutton, gambler, and became crueler. This gown was the only one Julietta could take with her when she escaped her Helena Manor after being locked in a closet after a heated argument with the prince. leaving everything behind including her daughter, but a small sack of Jewels, jewels she'd use to flee the empire's grips and stay in hiding from her husband, with her unborn twins. The last bit of luxury she possessed in her time in hiding, until her return to Helena following her Husbands murder.

 

Spring

Despite being almost forgotten by the courts, Julietta kept the tradition of bearing elegance. And celebrated her newfound freedom with one of her most iconic spring gowns, a beauty that speaks for itself.

Lorena

In welcoming the new styles introduced by her old friend Empress Lorena, and the younger ladies of the court. Julianna adapted her styles from that of the great Anabel, favoring the 1760 Petticoats that had been all the rage at the time. In addition she styled the outfit with her own seductive, yet tasteful corset to celebrate her ageless beauty even as a Dowager. This gown has seen the blunt of the heiress' wild parties, shown by the faint stains of champagne and rum on the edges of the sleeves.

How Scandalous

One of Julietta's more expensive gowns bearing a majority of silks, yet remains a scandalous number. The gown certainly shows more- ahem.. shoulder rightfully suiting for a widow in her late 40's. But complimented nobly by her long pearls clasped to her gold choker. It is said she was seen drinking in this very gown with the Duke John of Sunholdt while his wife was away..

An Adventure

Julietta's wine red lambskin leather coat. One couldn't tell, but this coat has been mended multiple times after the enormous Orenian ship was attacked by a kraken on the expedition to Athera. The coat was damaged while Julietta helped the other young women hide in the captains cabin while the ISA fought the creature bravely. Sadly her handmaids were left behind in favor of her luggage while being put on an emergency boat. However some recall seeing the dowager humourously smack peasants with her oars for trying to board her boat. She wore the leather coat for the extend of their stay in the Helentine Camp while shipwrecked, and again in the invasion of Petrus, where she healed many soldiers, and even saved Emperor Peter III after he'd been shot by a cannon!

This coat, is no stranger to action. Don't be fooled by its elegance.

 

Party

A gorgeous cream gown worn by the Dowager to the Emperor's Jubilee, honoring his preference of Navy Blue with her corset, while maintaining an angelic elegance through her cream satin skirts, and white lace gloves.

Maturity

The by far most iconic gown of Julietta's Collection. Being favored in her early years following the dip, and quick recovery of her finances. Choosing to honor the memory of her late Husbands family colours, despite the rocky history between the two icons of the 1730'a. A gown carefully designed without expense, and reworked multiple times by her team of dressmakers, until it was perfection. A gown that honored The Dowager-Princess' story, completely.
