Looking for childhood friends and long lost family

I have a half elven half human character who grew up in a small town, raised by the town as a whole after his parents were killed in a house fire. I'm looking for human childhood friends who's families would have helped take care of Vaxall as he was growing up. 
He also has the lost elven side of his family. His mother ran away with a human carpenter, and he never met any of her family. She was a wood elf, but he doesn't remember that, only her being an elf.
