Suicidium 1295 Rep Farm Share Posted May 3, 2021 Published by the Duchy of ElysiumIt is a heinous, dishonourable affront and display to all Descendants to celebrate the massacre of women, children and innocent bystanders. Last Elven evening, Orenian marauders, officers of its own Imperial State Army, show their colours by representing the world leader of senseless barbarity and brutality. Blaming and attacking the agricultural vassal of Elysium for the wars being waged. Elysium, with her golden fields of rye, represents the hospitable nature of humanity. We are a kindred community focused onto helping its neighbours and fostering camaraderie to battle, not those who are descendants, but rather the horrors and evils that prowl the realm, such as the Old Dark and the dreadful minions of Mordring. Similarly to Oren’s own vassal of the Pale, Elysium has fulfilled its contractual obligations as a vassal and has lived peacefully, even forming countless friendships with Orenian-affiliated individuals in the years since its founding in Almaris. The Orenian falsification press, drunk on the bloodlust of assaulting and slaughtering fellow humans, speaks of Orenian military might, their lack of casualties, and dissolution of a cabal. However, they foolishly fail to detail that the Orenian war party, consisting of Imperial State Army officers, struck down innocent, unarmed, unarmored Elysian civilians as they fled for their lives. The fields were certainly, as they claim, painted sanguine, however it was not with the blood of soldiers or fighters, but the blood of innocent civilians; women, children, and simple tradesmen who were guilty of no crime save for, apparently, existing within the incorrect nation that Oren has declared for itself. It is clear to all who’ve visited, that Elysium is an agricultural vassal, not the source of the warbands of Norland that the Orenians were perhaps too much of typical cowards to seek. Elysians who managed to escape to the shelter of their homes then found their doors kicked in by the marauders, many of them being dragged into the town’s streets and executed. Even then, as the fighting continued, a number of the attacking soldiers began ransacking a home in an attempt to abduct, and presumably murder or maim, a young boy of ten, only prevented from doing so by the jamming of a door between the soldiers and the child. Perhaps it is only fitting, for an empire that engages in wholesale slaughter of its enemies to surpass the civil world in genocides: destroying of its own cities and settlements to sow so much sedition against Elysium, a serene town who did not even take up arms when the warring marauders arrived. This demonstrated to a younger generation that when the collars were off, they acted nothing more than rabid mongrels attempting to leave no survivors to speak of their crimes against humanity. Their masters left vomiting pieces of literacy to attempt to justify their mongrels’ actions. Let the deceptive Orenians proclaim their own honour and prowess, be able to foolishly boast about their Elysian conquest to their people, to show that no court, philosophies or thesis would dissuade their own army from these primitive travesties and massacres. Conclusively, after being abducted it would appear that Liluth was abused in Orenian custody, and although it appears that the wishes for the self-determination of the Elysium community has grounds. It remains so that the Orenian approach to Elysian self-determination is forceful and utterly repugnant in hurting, killing and harassing its community with threats of constant raiding every three months as stated to Eugeo within the Bastion. Elysium may not secede, especially not under duress inspired by Orenian falsehoods. We may be a fledgling community, but it is one that toils hard to better itself to the challenges of Almaris whilst remembering each and every one of its fallen. The Duchy announces the retraction of the statements of Liluth and Eugeo with their assertions , and sponsors the advertisement of this statement to be made apparent to her allies, and the general populaces of the realm who may find themselves confused by the events of recent. Elysium stands as a vassal of Norland: especially now that our blood has been spilled with the misplaced intentions to bring harm to the rulership of King Sven Edvardsson of Norland. MasonMcBadbat 272 Share Posted May 3, 2021 (edited) Sven lumbered across waves of grain, guided by the trampling steps of the man marching before him, mucking a path for the man to his back. His legs grew tired from the weight of his cargo, the foundations for the Elysian palisade. The sound of rock and gravel rustled all along the convoy as they advanced, one by one. Then, for just a moment, he'd glance off from his mission to the village below. He'd see the contrast of ash, blood, and disarray. The blood of a woman fallen just a day before, her ghost locked in the cracks and flats of cobbled stone. People met their end here, he thought. People. No renowned Northguardsman, finally meeting his end after a glorious life worth lived. No damned soul, guilty of crimes beyond counting, finally put to a rest well deserved. It was a woman. A woman and her kids. "Sven?" He'd shake from his thoughts to meet eyes with the man behind him. Alric, his trusted crownsguard, an Icathian, and a friend. Sven would pause a moment as he parsed the meaning behind his racing thoughts. He'd manage to convey just the one, speaking to his companion with a tone of certainty unknown to him all his days before. "In their haste for glory, they lost what made them human. That is a gash; cut deeper than our sharpest axes could ever hope to plunge."A moment. "I would not wish this on my worst of enemies." nothingbutdebrie 104 Share Posted May 3, 2021 Upon hearing of the missive, Galenus Amaricius promptly dropped the lumber he had been hauling. The decurion expectantly clutched the parchment that bore the Duke's message, sighing deeply of relief. "Finally, the truth is spoken- let the true color of Oren be known: crimson, for the blood of innocent women and children. Iron from Ice." The man soon returned to building the palisade and making the Orenians pay for it.

Crevel 4727 Share Posted May 3, 2021 "We can only hope that the Canonist Church acknowledges the atrocities committed in Elysium by the Orenian Kingdom and that those involved are punished in accordance to Canonist Law." Arthas pauses for a moment, wiping the tears off with the back of his hand as he cradles his sleeping child in his arms, sniffling, "Hopefully the Church are able to separate from the Imperial politics." He would lay his child down in his makeshift crib, scribing into his journal as a tear would drop to the corner of the page, "On the other hand, it's good to see that the Duke was able to escape unscathed enough to release the truth..."

"We'll pay the Duke a visit in few months time, though this time he won't be given the opportunity to speak out- rather, he'll receive naught but a swift drop and a short stop."

QliphothicCorvid 177 Share Posted May 3, 2021 A passing blind man would look upon the most recent in the series of missives, "Let them both burn, and both will in part. Sin shall fight sin, and only the greater sin shall win."
Muddy_Buddy 243 Share Posted May 3, 2021 Toke Freysson reads the document and boards the ferry to Elysium. Walking off the ferry and into Elysium, his nose is no longer assaulted by a foul stench. "Thank the All-Father it nae longer smells of bullshit here. Hopefully the farms will be plentiful soon."

"Well, as I hear, earlier in the day The Orenian horde had abandoned their entire fort when confronted with a small band. So aye, they were certainly too cowardous to see actual warriors." spoke Dramyr "We started this war due to Oren lacking honor, and it seems that Orenia continues to display such lack in not only words but actions too. For shame."

Vane stands up straight, slamming his fist into his armored chest, sending out a resounding clank "IRON FROM ICE!" he shouts out
hemomancy 2835 Share Posted May 3, 2021 Athri Onfroi Belrose sat idly, closing her eyes and sighing. "Bunch of imperial dogs off their leashes. A military that has no honor shouldn't be a military at all." The Minister muttered under her breath. "They've too much pride to apologize for the smallest of things, let alone something like this. Their downfall, perhaps." The woman then gathered some paper, beginning to write things that needed written.
