[!] The wind howled through the forests of Elvenesse as an eerie silence was broken by the thunder of Orcish boots meeting the ground. The warband of Orcs ran through the trees as they made their way to the shores in Elfish lands. They pushed their rowboats into the ocean and followed along the coast before storming the docks of Elvenesse. The Orcs quietly moved about the docks, hiding amongst the crates and nets. It was clear to most that these Orcs intended to catch the Elves by surprise.

After setting themselves up on the docks, the Orcs began to scheme and devise a plan of attack. However, their schemes were interrupted by a familiar sound. The sound of an Elvenessi warhorn echoed throughout the city! The Orcs had been spotted and the Elves were ready for them! Amaesil Vuln’miruel, Commander of the Elfish forces, called forth his bowmen. The Elfs, numbering a solid twelve soldiers, stood defiantly before the band of Orcs. Shouts of pride and bravery could be heard from the Elvenessi natives as they readied themselves for the looming fight.

Rex Azhug’Gorkil, personally leading his forces on the raid, stood ready to face the Elvenessi Commander. “Zheeldz!” he called out, as the Elfs readied their bows. The Orcs, seemingly more organized than during the previous conflicts, banded together and formed a shield wall. “Loose!” shouted Amaesil, a fiery tone taking presence in his voice, as a volley of arrows was unleashed upon the Orcish forces. The volley of arrows, after bouncing off the shields of the War Nation’s forces, was soon followed by a shout from Azhug and Burgharz. “CHARGE!” shouted the pair of Orcs as they rushed forward into the Elvenessi soldiers!

BANG! The clash of the forces, so loud that it made a Dwarfish mine seem silent, was heard by all in the city! The Orcs, numbering a mere eight in comparison to the Elves twelve, fought ferociously! Burgharz swung his blade, cleaving Elves left and right. The outnumbered Orc soon found himself surrounded by five of the Elvenessi soldiers, a challenge the green giant would never shy away from. One by one, Burgharz slew the Elves where they stood, until only Amaesil remained. Amaesil, in an act of bravery or perhaps folly, stepped forward to fight Burgharz. After a fearsome battle, Burgharz once again emerged victorious!

Seeing their commander fall, the Elvenessi forces began to lose heart. Fleeing back into the city, they turned their back on the Orcs, a mistake they will not soon forget as they were cut down one by one. Rex Azhug claimed the heads of three before the final soldier, an Elf by the name of Pardek, escaped to tell the tale. The Orcs divided their loot and headed home to Krugmar.

The Elves were warned, and Krugmar delivered.

And blood was drawn, the blood of the elves covered orcish blades as they left the city. Korgahk knew such victories would not stop until the foolish Elf Prince listened to their demands. Ang Gijak Ishi

Kor'garr'Lur chuckles as he reads through the weekly blarging reports of Krugmar, remembering fondly the struggle of Elvenesse soldiers as they fled only to be struck by his arrows. "Dey ded nub pey en Teef ohr koin, zo enzted dey pey'd en bludz." He soundlessly returns to cleaning the harshly serrated dagger of his own making, letting the bundle of papers rest idly nearby the forge's roaring flame.
