The Adventures of Ulric Isaak Vyronov

Chapter One: On The Run To A New, Unfamiliar Home.

After the devastating, tragic event that Ulric Isaak witnessed with his Father against the brute, giant beast bear, the young lad pushed forward through the icy, windy forests of Karosgrad. The young lad, with tears falling down his face, reminisced about the encounter and followed his father's guidelines and remembers, recalling Siegrad Vyronov’s last words, “get to Haense, my child. FLY YE FOOL!” Ulric shook his head, continuing on his way to Karosgrad. The path that the young lad took seemed to have a lot of obstacles on the route; he dodged many branches, walked over icy, crackling ice, cubicle ponds, climbed up cold, muddy hills and ran away from danger from the creatures in the abyss of the forest. The young lad hunted small rabbits for food, just like how his papej Siegrad taught him and went to local farms that had crusty bread on the land's stalls. As he approached these farms, he would either trade off valuables or mina for food and a place to stay for the night. The next day, after settling in for the night at one of the farms, he would be off for his journey.

Ulric Isaak Vyronov, as he continued his way North towards Karosgrad, Ulric always enjoyed the savory taste of crusty, delicious bread. It was a delicacy to him, all the boy was known for was hunting boars, small rabbits, deer with his papej with a bow and arrow for their meats and flesh, stealing chickens from the farmlands when deer or boar were not present within enroute to their destination. As the boy continued down the muddy, cold path, Ulric looked up at the mucky, greyish-blue skies above him and set his gaze at the yellowish-orange sun, awhing the beautifulness and the extremely colorful circle. The boy was delighted, smiling as he enjoyed the sun-set. Soon, it would be dark and Ulric had not yet found a place to stay at, so he decided to go somewhere he was familiar with: The Icy, Cold Woods.

The boy, only at the age of seven, was very overwhelmed, scared because he had never left his father’s side. Though, he remembers his father’s teachings while they ventured and what scavenged supplies were needed to survive. While walking through the woods, Ulric found a large, brownish large Oak Tree that had a secret, cave-like gap at the bottom; the large brownish-Oak Tree was so tall that the branches and leaves blossomed out all over the stump to the top of the tree. The Large Oak Tree seemed to have been thousands of years old! To add onto that, it seemed that the gap was covered by bushes, blueberry bushes as blueberries scattered all over the bushes that led towards the cave-like entrance. This is when Ulric Isaak decided it was a great place to reset, gather supplies and stay to think of his next move.

Before dawn, Ulric gathered up branches, bark, leaves, small stones and twigs to make a fire for himself. Again, the forest was menacingly known to have creatures and their nature and Ulric Isaak had little to no experience. When Ulric gathered his materials to make a fire, he plowed through the blueberry bush to make way into the gap under the large Oak Tree. When Ulric made his way through the bushes, Ulric threw down the materials that he had gathered, making a clunking sound against the wooden surface of the wet, muddy floor, he started itching his arms from the cuts from the bush. The young lad looked back at the bush and quirked an eyebrow, he crawled his way to the bush.. With an angst look, he heard loud, thumping footsteps, about thirty meters from his spot. The sun still shining down through the trees, Ulric peered through the bush and gazed around his surroundings in a nervous demeanor. The steps became louder and louder, Ulric placed his hands on his mouth, sweat dribbled down his forehead. The footsteps were coming from the Big Beast Bear that had slain his Father in combat.

The sun settled, beamed through the cracks of the forest trees and made the Big Beast Bear visible through the light of Dawn. As he was watching through the bush, he carefully moved slowly to his satchel, which carried the following: Flint and Steel, His Great Grandfather’s, Ser Ulric Vyronov’s Old Dagger, flasks of cold lake water, a rock, a black, grey-ish clothed blanket and crusty bread from the trade he made from one of the farms that he had passed on his journey.  The young Vyronov grabbed a hold of the rock that was sitting at the bottom of his satchel, slowly and carefully. Ulric Isaak grabbed the rock from his satchel with his arm, twisted and turned, peering through the bush as he awaited the bear’s next move. The bear was looking South of where Ulric was held up, sniffing for a scent on the wet, cold and snowy debris in front of him . Before he grabbed the rock, he noticed that the bear was on his hind legs, slowly turned around and looked toward the large Oak Tree. As the bear was on its hind legs, the big beast bear made an obnoxious, loud roar and darted past the tree with drool coming out of his mouth. The Big Bear Beast had a scar on the top of his eyebrow, cataracts filled the bear’s right eye, red, maroonish blood coming from its mouth, with brownish, ruff fur and a heavy, large demeanor. The bear at least weighed a ton! After a while, the thumping steps became distant. At that, Ulric let out a huge sigh of relief and waited a few Saint Hours before making the fire with the materials the young lad had gathered.

The next morning, Ulric woke up from his slumber and flipped up the half folded blanket off of him. The fire that he had created burned out, ashes and residue from the fire smoked out of the gap of the large Oak Tree. As he went into his satchel, he fetched out a flask of water as he seemed a bit dehydrated and groggy from the long, adventurous night. The sun was rising, birds chirping in the forest, Ulric chimed in and made a humming sound he knew from the songs he heard, remembering the music that played through the towns that Siegrad and Ulric had previously visited. As Ulric put together his wares and his belongings into his bag, he got up from his knees and placed the satchel on his back, shrugging and tested the weight. Ulric Isaak decided that it was a good time to take some of the blue berries from the blueberry bush as he set off to reach his destination: Karossgrad.

Snow began to fall down and the snow was beginning to stick onto the debris. Ulric had to march through the heavy, thick snow and made footprints with the snow. This interested Ulric as he looked down at his feet as he continued walking, watching as he made footprints in the snow. This intrigued the young boy and had enjoyment over this. As he came across a path, Ulric heard shouting, cheering just little ways of where he was going. The boy darted down the snowy path as he came across the city. At the gates, a man awaited at the gates. When Ulric came up to the man, he looked up at him and said, “Mister, is this Karosgrad?” the boy gazed ahead and saw women, men and children conversing. The young lad seemed to grow tired from the adventures, shrugging his satchel on his back. The man looked down at him with a smirk, peering across his face. Seemingly pleasant, Igor extended his right hand down towards Ulric, offering his hand and opened his mouth with the words coming out, saying, “Welcome to Karosgrad, little friend.”
