The Haeseni Vessel Arriving in The Attenlund

As we move towards the culmination and ultimate end of the expedition as a whole. We seek now as much as ever to communicate with the mainland and lay down the needed work to prepare for what's to come. There will be trouble on the horizon which we will need to face together. Let's hope that the descendants that make up our expedition can find kinship and comraderie where needs be. Let the third drive commence, just as we hope it won't be the last that you hear of us.

We announce thus the beginning of the third ‘Mail Drive’

Signed by, Expedition Leader Adrian Colborn

A richly decorated roll of parchment would be delivered to the Clan hall of Elder clan Goldhand. A blue ribbon had been tied around the roll of parchment, sealing it.

Upon the outside of the parchment had been written “Fer dah elder clan Goldhand setuated en dah dwarven cetteh ef Kal’Darakaan! Frem Davli Goldhand”

26 yeah ef dah second age

5th ef dah deep cold

One would inmediately notice that this letter was quite different from the others. There were no fancy drawings nor was it a long letter for that matter. Additionally the writing seemed somewhat rushed.

Dear mah, pah , sesteh eh brotheh,

Ah tenk ef yah all evereh deh en ah ‚ope ah well be able tae seeh yeh all ‘gain. Buh efnaeh well er… The inkt would be smeared across something he had written” Well tell sun! Er euh ah luv all ef yeh! En yeh boie!

yer son eh brotheh Davli!

A second note had been included, unlike the other notes this one had been sealed by a wax seal with the Goldhand symbol on it.

 Fer Dorumnir goldhand only.

The note was short but to the point.

Dah. Shet esnae goin’ well. Weh ahe bein’ ignored ah disrespected boi dah haenseni. Der es enfoighten’ en dah demons seem tae beh learnen…. Ah need yeh tae settle meh affaihs ef ah dunnae return. Ah trus’ ah can coun’ on yeh fer dah. Ah wan’ ‘alf tae goh tae dah clan eh dah otheh half tae hana.

Yer son, Davli.

... Tenk yeh fer evereh'ten' dah.

A small leather pouch with some pepper in it had been attached to the letter.

Lastly a small note with a singular H drawn upon it was included.

Dear, hana.

Des esnae easeh. Et’s goin’ tae shoite. Soh well ah luv yah en eh ‘’ope ah can seeh yah ‘gain. Efnae ah ‘ave enstructed fatheh dah yeh shud receive ‘alf of wah ah own.

Hopefelleh till soon.

Davli

A large golden oakleaf with a large and fancy looking capital D in the center had been drawn here

Dear Celestine,

(@AndrewTech)

How are you? We recently received a letter from Mr. Deveral about the expedition. He mentioned something about Swamp Demons, which I found very troubling. Tell me, are you all right? No shambling creatures have dragged you off into the muck, have they? We miss you sorely and I would be much grieved if some horrid monster carried you away before I got the chance to see you again!

Everything over here is fine. We threw a big opening Gala for the Providence museum lately and it went very well for us! The people of Providence are greatly enthused by their new museum and library. We also auctioned off a (platonic, of course) date with you...

Oh, Cellie... An elf man bought you for three gumballs.

Don't feel discouraged, though! They auctioned off a date with me as well. What was my price? One mina! How embarrassing... Ah, well. I shouldn't be too offended. After all, we're both old ladies now. Hardly the spring chickens we used to be!

We've hired a new girl to oversee security at the Providence Museum. Her name is Miss Catherine Bentarus. She keeps mentioning a ghost in one of the closed-off exhibit halls. Should I be worried? I'm glad I bought that aurum dagger all those years ago... I've been spending a lot of time setting up exhibits in that particular hall, but I haven't seen the ghost yet. My, how spooky!

We all miss you. Eliza, Quentin, and the baby are doing beautifully. Emma Rose is growing up healthy. Quentin is straightening up into a good man too. He's become quite the prominent citizen of Luciensburg. Marriage had a positive affect on him, I think. Otto is well, no changes there. He's been keeping busy.

Ah, I wish I had more news - but it's mostly business as usual. That's a good thing, isn't it? No news is good news, so they say.

Please hurry home. I'm so excited to put our Attenlund exhibition together for the museum! I hope you've brought me lots of interesting souvenirs!

Sincerely,

Your Friend,

Mica would sit alone in her office holding the letter addressed to her and the rest of her family, they had all had a look and passed it off back to her. Pouring over the words and handwriting she clutched the paper shaking slightly.

Finally setting down the letter she put pen to paper.

“Davli,

I suspect you are either scared or homesick. I always send my wishes and love to you. You will be back home with us before you even realize my dear.

Stay strong, be the Davli I know, the head strong, insult slinging, wolf baiting, monkey.

Keep at it, we will be here for you when you need us.

Love,

Ma

P.S. Fergus misses you”

It would be simply signed and a small copy of one of the drawing Davli had done as a child.

Closing it she sends it off with the rest of the mail and returns to sitting alone, and in the quiet hum of the Guild she mutters to herself as she watches the stream of workers moving in and out of the work area,

"gods, let him be safe..."

With that she pulled one of the many stacks of paper towards herself and begins her work once again.

[!] The response of Davli Goldhand recieves a resplendant letter with golden filigree and written in silver writing.

To my Son, son of the Aurokanar Lord, Good Fortune:

Your Hoard shall remain locked away in your vaults, for you to safely return to and be greeted by your wealth. I have full assurance you will return home in one piece, to those you love.

I await your return eagerly, my son.

Within the gloom of Attenlund, an Elvish lord of flame and sea puts pen to paper, writing a series of letters.

Addressed to Caer'miven, @WestCarolina

I hope by my nickname, this letter shall find you. I wish my journal was as full a young noble girl's diary, for there is much of the land to learn in the Attenlund. I think of the words of Sister Hurricane as I knew her, often, and I think of all I have yet to learn.

I have learned of something dire which requires the attention of any Archdruids of respective Circles. Upon my return to Descendant lands, I would request an audience with them.

Yours Faithfully, Sylvaenor

Addressed to Aesilnoth Tundrak, @ABruhMoment

My brother-in-law. Upon return to the mainland, I would like to request an escort to the lands which your kin seek to call home. That which I have guarded now soon for nearly an Elvish Year must be delivered into safe hands. If there is no safe place yet to secure it, request the construction of a vault. You may expect me in as early as Three Elvish Days.

Yours In Time, Fëanor Sylvaeri

To My Young Fawn, @Junoix

My daughter. Know that though I am far from you, my heart is yours at every hour. I am deeply proud of how tall and strong you have grown. Though I feared for you at every hour in your infancy, every Mali' must come into their own. Upon my return home, Vallei'sae, I would like us to speak - and find your brother. With luck, perhaps we can also meet with the Dwyn I have always mentioned in passing.

Stars Guide,
Your Father, Fëanor Sylvaeri

To My Son, @DixieDemolisher

My son - long has it been since our meeting. I hope this letter finds you well and not estranged. At the moment, I am on campaign against wicked forces. I would bid you join me, to see what training you have found for yourself, but developments have been dire. such that even I have been bled. Much has happened that we need speak of. I pray no words left unspoken.

Fear Not The Flame,
Your Father, Fëanor Sylvaeri

[!] From her desk at Greyspine, Fenika pens a letter to Ailred, totally on time for the mail drive - perhaps thought lost at the bottom of the trunk, seeing as he would receive it late...

Ailred, @biggestdon

I hope you remain safe and well in the Attenlund, and return home soon with plenty of stories to recount for my amusement. Godani knows I have many to tell you. Weddings and celebrations have passed, trolls have attacked, people come and go. Yet Haense remains much the same, save for your gaping absence. Your sister ordered me to pen you this letter after the siege of last saint's day - containing news I have kept quite to myself. I am, fortunately, with child. Something I only discovered weeks into your expedition. Worry niet! We are all safe and happy here - your family has seen to that. I pray for your safety, and that you might be home in time before I come to full term... it won't be long now. I await your return, love.

- Fenika

And another letter follows.

Papej, @Gusano

It has been far too long since we properly spoke last, even when you remained here in Haense. When you get back we will have much to catch up on, I'm quite certain. Stay safe, da? Otto is fine, although perhaps overly attached to those trolls we fight, Vasilia and Franz fare well - Gustaf too, as far as I can perceive from his letters. I pray for your quick return!

- Fenika

Spoiler

yeah i forgot to do this
