Clan Irongrinder was originally a common clan back in Asulon, though they were not around. Due to some debates and quarrels, they broke apart and went their separate ways. Now the few remaining descendants reunite upon the ship to Anthos. Comparing their past information and annals of the clan they have come up with this rough summarization of the clan.

Upon their arrival to this new land, the three Irongrinders, Zahrer, Tog, and Kairn, built up the clan wealth to the point of owning one of the largest clan halls in Kal'Azgoth. At this point, Kairn went missing but was replaced by another of their kin, Dizzy Iringrinder.

Two clans, the Irongrinders and the Thunderfists, united by the marriage of Zahrer Irongrinder and Riddeth Thunderfist. Through this union, the clan takes up the new name of Thunderblades and with the other dwarves move to Kal'Ithrun.

Following the death of Grand King Thorin Grandaxe, Dizzy is elected king and Zahrer made a Lord of Urguan. Shortly after the remaining Thunderfists are lost. Some went on pilgrimages, some lay sick in bed, and others were lost in death. Having no kin with whom they had bonded, the Irongrinders take up their old name in remembrance of their history.

The Irongrinders move into their new clan home in Kal'Ithrun.

With the destruction of Anthos, the Irongrinders take up residence in their new hall in Kal'Arkon, the Dwedmer capital in the Fringe.

Using a special ballista built by Zahrer Irongrinder, the Golden lance(Guild) fire the Golden Lance (Weapon/Relic) that kills Setherian.

To escape the drought of the Fringe, the Dwedmar of clan Irongrinder travel through the portal to the land of Thales where they are a major force in the construction of both Kal'Klad and the naval flagship, the Ancestor's Truth (Keznol Anoros).

Using the Ancestor's Truth, the dwarves flee the eternal winter of Thales...

The Clan members, along with the other clans of Urguan, reach the land of Athera, setting up within the new capital of Kal'Agnar.

After years of peace, growing fears within the Dwed capital come to a head when a series of murders, disappearances and kidnappings hit the Dwarven government. Several officials are killed or taken including the Lord Protector, Zahrer Irongrinder.

Having escaped from his captors, Zahrer returns to his kin in time to save the Grand King, Fimlin Grandaxe, from being assassinated. Zahrer then, bearing ancient relics from a forgotten age, assists in the retaking of the Dwarven capital and begins to recollect the missing Irongrinder kin in the new city of Kal'Karaad.

After a close election and a quick coronation, Zahrer is crowned as the Grand King of Urguan. He is the second of Clan Irongrinder to hold the title.

After making many reformations to the laws of the Grand Kingdom, Zahrer is forced to resign by the newly reformed Lord's Council for refusing to banish the entirety of Clan Grandaxe.

After many years in hiding with the relics of Urguan, including the Crown and Armor of Urguan, Zahrer returns to give the relics to the new Grand Kings.

Following the fall of Athera to the great worm, the remnant of Clan Irongrinder returns to the kingdom in force and begins to build up their numbers in the new city of Kal'Akash in the Isles of Vailor.

Following the grant of land by the Jarls of Avar and the Grand King, the Castle of Jarnstrand (Iron Beach) is constructed for the purpose of reforming the clan in a holding and eventually reforming Dungrimm's Folk.

The Castle of Jarnstrand falls to the Empire of Oren and her allies in 1541 after some traitors pull traps on our own men.

With the completion of the construction of the new capital of Kal'Isthul, the Clan moves into their new clan hall.

With the introduction of the new Jarldom system, the Clan is awarded a jarldom on the western coast of the kingdom. Construction of the main keep begins in 1562.

The Clan moves with the rest of the Dwedmar to the new realm of Axios. With this move, the clan begins to increase in number, bringing in many new beardlings.

With the rise of The Citadel of Arcadia, the Irongrinders relish in the newfound studies to be had in the realms of Runesmithing, Golemancy, and the rest of the Arcane.

Zahrer steps down as clan father, leaving in his place his brother Tog. Tog claims the new title of clan lord.

(Dwarven legion marches, many if not all Irongrinders joined the legion at one point)

When the Grand Kingdom falls, the Irongrinders seclude themselves in The Citadel until such a time as it would be safe to wander once more. Eventually, they end up leaving with the rest of the refugees to Atlas.

Following the formation of Az’adar, the Irongrinders make their new home in the realm of Atlas. Many move on to prosper greatly in their new lands.
Following a tumultuous time in Atlas, the Irongrinders moved with the rest of the dwarves into Arcas.

With the establishment of Kal’Varoth in the Under-Realms, the Irongrinders made themselves at home with the dwarves.

In the new formation of the Dwarves government system, Zahrer is Lord Chancellor of the Rikkin Council, further cementing Irongrinder power within the kingdom. Zahrer serves as Rikkin and Lord Chancellor.

Dwarven linguists begin to notice the frequent use of the word, Zarhere, when referring to one’s ability to be merciful. As Zahrer is the personification of mercy, it is incredibly fitting. Upon the creation of the word, the Legion of Mercy is formed and nary a spook has been seen since.

Following Zahrer stepping down, Atandt would pick up the mantle of Clan Father. He would, amongst other things, enable the clan to enter a very profitable era.

Under Atandt’s reign as Clan Father, Darek and Mafraedon Irongrinder are able to open and maintain shops in the square of Kal’Varoth, bringing fame and fortune to the clan as they peddle runic weapons and others useful items.

Atandt is elected the Under-King and as such cannot remain Clan Father of the Irongrinders. Following a quick and concise election by the gathered clan members, Zahrer is once more the patriarch of the clan with no challengers.

Soon after Zahrer’s rise back to the helm of the clan, the hall is swiftly made. According to the current Dwarven laws, no dwarf may live inside a clan hall, however, it is still a gathering place for the Khronumurrum.

During the laborious Three Month War, the Irongrinders spearheaded the Dwarven aggression against the Pax Orenia, funding the very straw that broke the camel’s back. Thanks to the efforts of all Irongrinders, the clan enters a time of prosperity.

Not too long after the Three Month War, Atandt abdicated the throne of the Under-Realm with much applause and gratefulness from his people. Following his father, the two of them ventured forth on a pilgrimage, leaving the remaining Irongrinders at the helm of the clan.

With the most prestigious member of the clan leaving for a pilgrimage, a power vacuum was left within the clan. Wasting little time, the clan held a meeting with those gathered voting unanimously to make Mafraedon Irongrinder the next Clan Father.

Nearly forty years following the pilgrimage of Zahrer, the clan sees the return of Frerir Irongrinder. Mafraedon, after having served faithfully as Clan Father for so long, hands the position off to Frerir who begins a series of minor reformations to the clan’s operation.

After a short and uneventful clan fathership Frerir steps down and the position is taken up by Darek Irongrinder, one of the only Irongrinders still residing within the Grand Kingdom.

As the few remaining clan members gather in their empty hall, a new clan father is named, Khubuc, brother of the legendary Zahrer and Tog. His plan to bring again the age of Iron is begining...

Zahrer’s Table

The large, round table is a very old piece of mahogany furniture that previously belonged to the refounder of Clan Irongrinder. Originally built in the realm of Athera, the table served as an important meeting point for the clan as well as numerous heads of state both domestically and internationally. Following the banning of the use of dark colored woods throughout the Grand Kingdom by Midgor Ireheart, the table was smuggled to a safehouse where it was secured until his dethronement and the revocation of the ban. Since then it has remained a symbol of perseverance, stability, and tradition for the clan.

The Spear of Apocrypha

Another Atheran age relic, the Spear of Apocrypha was captured from the remnants of an ancient race known as the Ironmen. Thought to be Yemekar’s first attempt at creating the descendents, the Ironmen were an immensely powerful race capable of creating powerful weaponry such as this spear. Able to mold itself to fit the hand of whoever wields it, making it exceptionally difficult to disarm them, the spear is a bright, golden weapon that has been used to fight a number of minor deities and powerful creatures such as The Dharok.

Preface

While there is no blood relation required to join the clan, the person looking to join the clan must be a dwarf.

Before beginning his trials a dwarf must first seek out an Irongrinder who is willing to mentor them. This dwarf will be tasked with aiding the beardling during his trials and help him adapt to dwarven life in general.

The item or subject, pertaining to the Craft or Knowledge trials, will be evaluated by the Clan Elder and a decision will be made by them. There is no grade of quality required, but whatever is brought forth will be evaluated. ((If they bring a stick with **** stuck to the end, they will most likely not be let in, or will be asked to try again. The knowledge trial is similar, as the dwarf may decide to learn about the different metals and alloys in the lands, or they can inform their Clan Elder about how much healthier it is to take a **** while squatting, rather than sitting.))

All decisions are up to the Clan Elder that is evaluating the dwarf that is looking to join. If a Clan Elder decides that the person in question is not fit to join the clan, they may not get a second opinion from a different Clan Elder. The ruling may be overturned only by the Clan Father.

Only the Clan Father may bestow the title of Honorary Irongrinder upon someone who is not a dwarf. While there is no requirement, it is generally accepted that they must have to do something incredible in the Clan’s best interests.

Trial of Creation

The dwarf looking to join the clan must show their aptitude through their craftsmanship. While the item itself is irrelevant, the trial focuses on the quality of the craft. The dwarf must show, to a Clan Elder, that they are capable of making something useful or else be able to sell it. The Clan Elder must be present for the crafting of the item, whatever it may be. ((Simply to prevent someone from skipping roleplay and just naming an item.))

Trial of Knowledge

The Irongrinder Clan has long been renowned for their intelligence and mastery of the magical arts and rightfully so a dwarf looking to join the ranks of such an illustrious and elite clan must prove their knowledge. While the subject matter itself is irrelevant, they must be able to convince a Clan Elder that they are informed upon the said subject and they would be able to answer any and all questions put forth to them. Unlike the latter, this trial does not require a Clan Elder to be present whilst the dwarf is learning the subject.

Trial of Courage

While knowledge and the ability to create are deeds great enough to be auctioned highly in the Halls of the Dead, the Khronumurrum are no cowards, nor are they without the courage to push forward in battle. The dwarf in question must prove their courage to the assembled clan during a great feast usually held a stone week after the beardling has completed their other trials.
