Click the Spoilers below to open up the location descriptions based on their order of appearance. If you're interested in learning more about Lord of the Craft & applying, click here! Credits to carp, VIROS, Heero and a few others for helping on these descriptions. Aegis Spoiler The Cloud Temple The beginning and the end. Life and death. The Cloud Temple was born from the inception of Lord of the Craft and served as the last point of refuge in the Undead attack upon Aegis. Al’Khazar, The Kingdom of Oren (Humans) A bastion for humanity which predates the norms practiced by the Human citizens of the Orenian Empire of the modern day. A grand capital that once presided as the jewel of Humanity in Aegis saw the sovereignty of the Sheffield and Perea lines throughout decades of strife against the mounting forces of Iblees. A strong economy sustained by seemingly infinite hands all hungry for their fair share of coin, further bolstered by budding knight orders seeking the appraise of Al’Khazar’s nobility and upper elite alike. Sanjezal, The Rexdom of Krugmar (Orcs) Whilst unbecoming in its crude appearance, this ever-evolving slab of hastefully constructed limestone saw the rise of the legendary Orcish juggernaut Mogroka of Clan Gorkil. With his humble roots, the one-eyed Orcish combatant fostered a horde of fierce and formidable Orcish warriors that swelled to new-found acclaim as they had their fill attempting to keep the ever growing swarm of Iblees’ Undead at bay. It was here where the roots of the modern day War Uzg were set at these battlements, later becoming and tried and true traditions of the War Nation. Kal’Urguan, The Kingdom of Urguan (Dwarves) Hidden deep beneath the crevices of the snow-draped mountain tops of Aegis stealthily lied the stalwart sons of Urguan. Merry and content with their crafts and constant allure to bore the earth in search of further jewels to line their cupboards with, the Dwarves of Urguan boasted an array of notable figures throughout Aegis. Heroes from the likes of Thorik and Valen Grandaxe, to the legendary Mage-Dwarf Hiebe Irongut or the crafty King Syrio Forel of Alras - all provided a colorful cast that set the stage at every turn, often dictating the political landscape of the realm throughout Aegis. Laurelin, The Princedom of Malinor (Elves) The gem of the Elven golden age - all three of the Elven subraces once stood shoulder-to-shoulder within the Princedom of Malinor. At their height, the Wardens were the largest military force that dominated the forests surrounding the Elven state of Malinor and her people. Laurelin was the first & last instance of true elven unity for the modern Descendent Elves. Alras, The Kingdom of Alras (Alras) The first true bonafide nation born outside of the Descendents of the Four Brothers. Once a Dwarven city-state, through an unmeasurable economic boom the settlement blossomed into super-power that held a reserve of Mina into the millions, far beyond the reach any individual or nation had ever managed to accumulate even to date. Anthos Spoiler Kralta, The Apostolic Kingdom of Ruska (Humans) Home of the pious Raevir people and the court of Exalted Sigimund, last prophet of the Church of the Canon, who would go on to reforge the Empire after its destruction. The modern Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska traces its ancestral roots partly to this ancient home. Ard Kerrack, The Kingdom of Kaedrin (Humans) The unbreakable redoubt of the Order of the White Rose, knights of the Holy Orenian Empire. It was founded by St. Peter Chivay as a frontier between the imperial heartlands of Salvus and the elven Princedom of Malinor. The White Rose would go on to conquer in the Empire’s name and usher in centuries of human dominance. The Dreadfort (Humans) The fabled origin of House Blackmont and House Flay. The Dreadfort inspired fear and corralled the human political sphere into disarray, as no nation to that date had faced a power so vicious and effective. Their only true contendors were the equally legendary Order of the White Rose and Teutonic Order. Their legacy lives centuries after their family bloodline had been lost to time; many bandits don a bandana in their likeness, but none dare take the color red. Luminaire, The Princedom of Malinor (Elves) The radiant capital of Malinor, where the three races of elves lived in harmony. As the lands of their people were conquered by Imperial forces, it became a refuge. Luminaire never regained its former glory after the fall of the Empire, for the godlike Dragons from the North laid waste to Malinor’s ancient forests. Lin’everal, The Silver State of Haelun’or (High Elves) Bathed in pools of gold and ascended through silver, the High Elves of Lin’everal embodied their patron, Larihei, in all pursuits that were pure and above the perceived filth of their elven cousins. Solitude and knowledge were at the forefront of these ancient Elves’ minds. San’Orka, The War Uzg (Orcs) The scalding, sunbaked capital of the War Uzg. From this city, the orcish hordes raided many dwarven settlements. After being defeated at Storm’s Crossing, the War Uzg disbanded, and clans came to dominate orcish life. Kal’Azgoth, The Grand Kingdom of Urguan (Dwarves) The underground capital of the industrious dwarves of Urguan. The home of Thorin Grandaxe, who turned back the conquering armies of the Holy Orenian Empire, demanding fealty from all humanity. Kingston, Salvus (Humans) A remnant of what-once-was prior to the imperialistic expansion of Godfrey’s fledgling Empire, although stripped of its autonomy still possessed its royal privileges awarded to the then prominent Hightower Family. Said Hightowers would continue to strive towards the preservation of their peaceful city. A commercial juggernaut, the city stood as the financial hub responsible for the vast coffers that supported Oren’s growing empire. In fact, hostilities rose in regards to Kingston’s prosperity as at times it was considered a far better accommodation than the likes of the Imperial capital of Abresi. The Fringe Spoiler Kaldonia, The Empire of Man (Humans) Kaldonia, the capital of an Empire in transition. In the Fringe, mankind weathered internal conflicts, plague, and war with the Grand Kingdom. Nestled between the colossal mesas and fortified behind great walls, human civilization persevered. Vekaro (Humans) At the crossroads of the Fringe lay Vekaro, where humble Raevir farmers toiled under the blasts and screams of a land perpetually at war. Prior to the return of the Orenian Empire at the behest of the long lost Chivay Dynasty, Vekaro was the epicenter of Human activity in the Fringe. Their close proximity to the Dwarves of Urguan sparked a bloody conflict without end. Mt. Augustus Heralded as one of the most ruthless contraptions ever devised, Mt. Augustus was a hollowed spire of stone, built to withstand the most vicious Dwarven siege. The Raev architects of Mt. Augustus invented the first successful death-traps ever utilized in warfare, collapsing entire floors filled with enemy soldiers in untold casualties. This brutality would inspire the current militaries of the time and trigger a widespread adoption of defensive architecture. No Man’s Land This thin stretch of barren wasteland was what was to become of the war without end in the Fringe between the Zionist Coalition and Orenian Empire. The two powers of the world rushed toward the center of the Fringe and met on these opposing sides, battling over meters of land only to lose it the following day. Tahn’siol (Elves) Fractured by the fall of Malinor, the races of Elves fell one by one under the rule of Haelun’or, the High Elves of Larihei. The High Elven doctrine of their racial supremacy filtered from words to action, and soon a peaceful mutualism turned into tyranny in the shadows. These tensions would mount in their next land, Athera. Kal’Arkon (Dwarves) and Alras (Alras) Guarded on all sides by a hollow mountain, the twin capitals of the Kingdom of Alras and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan grew into a bastion of civilization in a strange and terrifying new world. While Imperial raids were not uncommon, Kal’Arkon became one of the few places on the Fringe where ordinary descendants could live mostly peaceful lives. Athera Spoiler Rivel Rivel, a city floating above the abyss at the edge of the world. An emblem of the wonder and terror of the most ancient land of Aegis, the city of reclusive spellcrafters was eventually conquered by the Archdaemon Iblees, vanishing from history. Unbeknownst to most, the city-state of Rivel was the birthplace of most modern schools of magic ranging from fundamental evocations and adjacent branches. Annil’sul, Haelun’or (High Elves) Annil’sul, capital of the High Elves. Early in the age the Silver Enclave’s subjects revolted, sending their former rulers into hiding. This would spark a series of battles between the High Elves and their former vassals. Before the final battle, the newly anointed King Andrik Vydra of the Kingdom of Oren intervened, hoping to reign in Haelun’or as leal subjects. The High Elves responded by melting Andrik in a hidden pit of acid during a routine visit to Haelun’or. Humanity began a genocide against the High Elves in vengeance. Kal’Agnar, Urguan (Dwarves) A lucky few Dwarves remember the tale of Kal’Agnar, a mighty hold that once stood against the might of Iblees herself. For two years the valleys echoed with blasphemous screams, before a coalition of the Grand Kingdom and her allies finally drove the Betrayer from the mountainhome. Petrus, Kingdom of Oren (Humans) Meanwhile, mankind contended with a different specter - civil war. The city of Petrus and its monumental palace changed hands from the usurper Carrions, to the reclusive and paranoid Kings of Renatus, and finally to Andrik Vydra, the ill-fated restorer of Oren. Al’Dirakh, the Caliphate (Humans) And far from the quarrels of the Heartland, the city of Al’Dirakh rose from the desert. Merchants and exiles alike sought refuge under the city’s just Caliph. Krugmar & Dunamis (Orcs & Mixed) The Orcish tribes who split apart after the disaster at Storm’s Crossing eventually reunited, forming a new Iron Uzg of Krugmar that would terrorize the descendants of Athera. Near their lands stood the Dunamis Horde, a band of elite mercenaries who were frequently employed against the Kingdom of Oren and all their supporters. Vailor Spoiler Saltstone Home to the knightly House of Varodyr. Embracing their roots in the Orenian Order of the Red Dragon, the isolated fortifications of Saltstone defended against rogue barbarians from the North wastes whilst providing a site sought by many Orenian bannermen to seek tutilate at the hands of esteemed instructors often made of retired and lame knights of the Empire - a second opportunity for loyal men to further serve their empire into their golden years. Later the appeal of elevating their appeal, the battlements were known for culling the source of Vailor’s Griffin population and subsequently the brief domestication of demi-gryph mounts which substituted horses within their ranks. Ruins of the Duchy of Adria & the Dukes’ War Battlefield Brelus stood in its ruined memory as a reminder to what would befall all Humans who contemplated rebellion. Once the capital of the Duchy of Adria and home of all Raev people, Brelus was the formidable opposite to the Kingdom of Oren’s Crown monarchy and culture, the de Savoies. Broiling tensions erupted into a cataclysmic civil war that nearly tore apart the fabric of Humanity. The Crown won over Brelus, but at great cost. Sutica Hailing from a desert crossroads in the southern continent, the Sutican people built a town on a natural harbor that soon grew into a maritime empire. The Suticans, with their unique customs and architecture, would survive the ensuing ages to the present. Seahelm Harsh and foreboding, Seahelm was legendary among frontiers - an appropriate place to sire the Norlandic peoples into the world. They were as fierce as their motherland, quickly swelling in authority despite their nascency. They would even challenge the great Imperial powers of Oren - and defeat could not deter them for long. Kal’Akash A city whose beauty was to be so closely held, so dearly cherished by her tired and weary sons that worked to bore stone from earth and established a stronghold they longed to populate for centuries. The harsh reality of the sentiment chiseled into the masonry of this city was unfortunately wrought but only broken promises. Not before long, the Dwarves immediately found themselves plunged into a seemingly endless defensive campaign where they would tirelessly guard the entrance to their city in a conflict that would later escalate further and be dubbed ‘The Eighteen-Year War’ - easily attributed to the worst period of Dwarf-kind and nearly ending with the eradication of their capital of Kal’Akash and potentially even the Dwarven-race; all at the hands of the reformed Orenian Empire and it’s Emperor John I. Even today Dwarves lament this dark period in the history of the Descendents-kind. Library of Dragur An educational institution founded at the hands of former Harbinger of Setherien, Orithur and the Dragaar Adrex. As per the mannerisms of the Dragonkin, the pair cultivated a ever-expanding collection of literature from throughout the realm via means of seeking out any form of written content regardless of the form or irellivancy. Eventually the library rivaled and quickly surpassed the most prestigious libraries such as the Eternal Library, the Mages’ Guild and Druidic library in quantity of books retained. Axios Spoiler San’Raakh (Orcs) Nestled within the sun-baked mountainous valleys of eastern Tahn, San’Raakh stood as an ideal place to foster the prosperity of the Orcish peoples. It was there that they built some of their greatest works, erecting innumerable shrines to their Spirits and devising architectural works to admire for years to come. Johannesburg (Oren) The crown jewel of the Orenian Empire, Johannesburg was a bustling city filled with court intrigue, merchants, peasantry, and Imperial radiance. Well sought after by the Orenian Empire’s rivals, the once bright city emptied and grew grim as a coalition continuously grew to oppose the once great Empire. In an final act of defiance or disturbance, we know not, the late Emperor Philip I lit an incalculable amount of thanhium beneath the Imperial City, destroying it beyond recognition and plunging the realm into a permanent winter. Sunless Sanctum A towering, dark, portal stood alone in the frozen wastelands, guarded only by the dead. The Drakaar Mordring marched his shambling, necrotic force from the void which he ruled to bring ruin to the Kingdom of the Westerlands, and catastrophe to all of the living. Ruins of the Westerlands The city of Bastion once stood as a testament to the mortal race’s war against the undead. The frozen wastes were settled by the Company of the Westerlands to defend Axios against the horrors of the Sunless Sanctum. Ruled by King Caius I, the fallen kingdom stood as a stark reminder of the Descendents' plight against the legion of the damned. Atlas Spoiler The Princedom of Fenn The Snow Elves of Fenn made their home in the frigid south of Atlas, building great stone walls and towers to house their people. Feuds with their elven brothers in the north would see blood spilled on the city’s snowy streets. The Whispering Crossroads Intersecting between Holm, the Reiters, and Belvitz, the Whispering Crossroads served as the heartbeat of Atlasian civilization and tempered nations and wars through the arteries of its roadways. Caras Eldar The city of triumph; the Jewel of Elvendom upon Atlas. Caras Eldar was home to the Dominion of Malin, and was later annexed as the Principality of Irrinor as a vassal to the Kingdom of Gladewynn. There had not been as great of an assembly of Elven power since Aegis than Caras Eldar, and there has not been since its memory. The Vaeyl Order The Vaeyl Order was as mysterious as it was powerful, building their ancient keeps along the frozen wastes of Atlas’ southernmost poles. They would not answer an inquiry of their intentions, but their legacy is ancient - as ancient as the Human race itself. Arcas Spoiler Queen’s Isles A conglomeration of the seabound Talon’s Grotto and Roseiryr, the Queen’s Isles sat between the wild jungle and the sea as a beacon of freedom and mystery. Lareh’thilln, Haelun’or Secluded on northwest Arcas was the glittering Silver City of Haelun’or. Perched on the top of a mountain, this colossal city cast long shadows over the continent, a symbol of resurgent High Elven culture and learning. The Inferi Invasion Incited by cosmic affairs past the prying eyes of the Descendents, the precarious events of the Aspect of Time, Metzli, slain and devoured by Voidal Horrors - the supposed Goddess of the Kharajyr fell and so did her corpse from the heavens. The celestial affair disturbed the realm and agitated nefarious forces that stirred from the darkest crevices of magical providence, demonic abominations set foot and waged war over the sundered remains of the fallen God. This upheaval shock a realm that had long forgotten how to combat foes of otherworldly affiliations. Ultimately this conflict rose to heights that approached the magnitude of the primordial age of Aegis and the era in which the Brothers Urguan, Horen, Krug and Malin walked. Helena A city shelled into rubble in the midst of the disastrous Siege of Helena during the War of Two Emperors, Helena became the seat of the revived Eighth Holy Orenian Empire, and from its noble halls emerged a bastion centered on progressiveness, egalitarianism, and the enlightened rule of law. Sutica As survivors of centuries of political turmoil, the Suticans once again claimed the legacy of their founders and built a harbor for all the world in the south of Arcas. Urguan Though the road to restoration was long, the sons of Urguan reforged their fractured kingdom, filling in the cracks with a new sense of purpose and industry. From their vast caves in the west of Arcas, the dwarves would sit the throne of a dying Empire and throw back an invasion from Krugmar. Where's Asulon?! That one is personally my fault. I had trouble working with the Asulon map early during the video process and wrote it off due to its wide reputation of horrible map corruption. I later found out that it could have been used - three quarters of the way into the video. I couldn't rework the entire video, so I took the hit and kept on editing. I'll find a way to incorporate Asulon into future videos.
