Do NOT meta-game] THE PACT OF TREACHERY Issued on the 3rd of the Amber Cold, 1827 PREAMBLE On the basis of the Holy Orenian Empire’s mistreatment of both the Company of the Rustlers and the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army (MRA), the leaders of each aforementioned association have decided that it is time to outwardly express their displeasure with the Holy Orenian Empire through violent means. During the series of skirmishes between the Company of the Rustlers and the Goats of Sedan, it was discovered that the Holy Orenian Empire and its forces had either allowed the Sedanians to capture a member of the Rustlers within their territory with the intent of taking her hostage, or had outright handed over said Rustler to the Goats of Sedan. Throughout the past decades, the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army has been wronged by the Holy Orenian Empire, most notably with Oren’s abrupt denouncement of their forces and absence of a promised pardon for the Mercatorii’s participation in the Tenth Nordling War. In order to right such wrongs, the Company of the Rustlers and the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army shall henceforth join forces with the express goal of victimizing those of Orenian allegiance. ARTICLE I. On the Company of the Rustlers I. The Company of the Rustlers shall henceforth combatively aid the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army in their operations against the Holy Orenian Empire. II. The Company of the Rustlers will not interfere with the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army’s operations, with the exclusion of affairs within the Holy Orenian Empire and the Principality of Stygian Hollow. III. The Company of the Rustlers shall not partake in any hostilities directly against the Canonist Church. IV. The Company of the Rustlers shall henceforth share relevant intelligence pertaining to the Holy Orenian Empire with the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army. V. The Company of the Rustlers shall henceforth shelter the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army in any operating bases located within or out of the Holy Orenian Empire’s bounds. VI. The Company of the Rustlers shall henceforth supply the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army with necessary equipment upon request. ARTICLE II. On the Mercatorii Revolutionary Army I. The Mercatorii Revolutionary Army shall henceforth combatively aid the Company of the Rustlers in their operations against the Holy Orenian Empire. II.
