A CALL TO A TRIAL OF PURITY
18th of the Snow’s Maiden, 32 S.A.

The ashes of progress as it burns and withers away, crumbling underfoot beneath the transgressions of those that wish to stifle our people thriving. To stifle progress and the opinions of the ‘thill is to stifle our very existence. While such stifling comes as no surprise when it comes from lessers, it comes as a surprise when it is of our own people. The petitions of the Haelun’orian Arts Centre have been burned to a crisp, with Seraphite Viradiraar and April Viradiraar caught in the act by Okarir’mali Valyris Wynasul.

Due to the extensive effect of their crimes, it is an act that cannot be ignored. They have endangered the lives of other ‘thill, the progress made on the tavern which is attached to the centre having nearly been burned if not for the help of Maehrir Dovian, they have stifled the voices of their other ‘thill. Hence, the aforementioned Viradiraars are being called to a trial of purity. The desecration of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya is not an act which is able to go unpunished.

PENNED AND SIGNED;
Okarir’mali Valyris Wynasul

April writing, in the Haven

-=-

Of all the things April would think herself to be as a young oem'ii - arsonist accomplice was not one of them.

Admittedly, April hadn't thought this one out, as was faulty habit of the young 'thill. Although , now, cold dread sunk into her body as the event and its looming consequences wrapped around her head. Why would you do this to yourself, she'd think as she sat down in the observatory room. Anger? no, mania? definitely not. Family loyalty, perhaps. That seemed to make the most sense in her head. Her Lari'maronn Seraphite screaming nonsensical words in the room next, wherever they were when they fled from Karinah'siol . Or perhaps they were, and she just failed to understand them - again, nothing anything new.

Despite her terroristic actions, April had been a patriot of the state throughout most of her adult life, going as far as betraying some of those closer to her to live there, even having to fight against them when wartime struck. She knew not if she was still a fan of the current state, as she harbored a large endearment to the prior regime. Was she still one now - a 'thill who fought for her ideals and talonnii ? or only a dirty mali'ata not worthy of silver.

She knew not, and frankly, she didn't care to understand at the moment. She did, however know that what's done has been done, and she has made her bed and must lie in it. And so, with words jumbled all inside of her head, the girl picked up a quill and started to write..

Seraphite Viradiraar hums as she looks to the missive, a grin slowly making its way onto her face. "Oh?" She perks up, eyes scanning the paper before she scoffs, folding the paper in half then creasing it, clicking her tongue as she pinches it at the crease and tears the paper into two pieces. She then places the pieces on top one another, coughing as she rips them again, doing it a few more times until the paper was shreds.

"Would've liked something a little more....." She trails off, holding her hand out as the pile of shredded paper on her palm blows away in the wind, Seraphite watching as it happens. "Impressive, is all."

She turns, chin held high as she gazes off to the sky, watching the sun rise with a weight lifted off her shoulders.

(arson?)

Mali'ata would read the missive as he passed by the walls of not so Silver State, throwing his head back and laughing into the night sky as he read his ex-wifes name "I knew she had it in her, anyone who marries me has got a little madness in their blood" he mutters to no one in particular, his brown hair and red tattoos clearly visible to all those that happened to pass by. Though strangely enough, the city appeared to be barren, completely devoid of the life that it once had while under the rule of the former Sohaer and his council.

"Ill need to ask her to invite me to the festivities next time" he'd say, drawing his hood over his head and walking silently into the darkness of the night.

"It is sad to see that such a prominent family would be met with this, but when the rise of diarchist ideals will slowly wilt and wither the state once more I would support them, despite this behaviour. At least the pockets of leadership are lined with enough coin to easily replace this damage, whilst the common folk can only grumble about the damages" The Ibarellan grumbled, sighing as she threw the missive into her fire, for a moment she allowed silence to fill the room before caving in to her growing vocality "These ideals should have passed away on Arcas, it's sad to see how we now devolve after Othelu's passing. What next? Ando alur will probably be forced off for being a mixed race subject of the state."

"Swagga'!" Exclaimed Lord Mendez as he began to grin. "'Always knew she'd be willin' t'do something like this." He uttered a quiet chuckle before returning to his duties.

Kolvar Trafina holds the newly delivered missive in her hand, before sitting down on her plush couch in her living room, tilting her head to the side as she skimmed it. "I knew there was something spunky about her, no wonder why I chose to be lliran with her" She'd chuckle at that, whilst petting her two Alaskan malamutes, Whiskey and Aspen. As she finished reading what's left of the missive, she got up to walk over to the blazing fireplace, without hesitating she threw the thing into the flames; watching it burn and turn to ash.

Ayliana blinked slowly as a servant told her of the news. Lifting her rather large sunglasses up, she looked over to her husband who was lounging on the towel alongside her. The two seemed to be on a beach vacation. She took a long sip of her wine before smiling over to her husband.

“I think its time for me to return to Haelunor. Afterall, it would seem the silver state cant keep itself together without us there”

She then called a servant to pack her bags, she was heading back for home the next morning.

The disowned Viradiraar looked at the missive, her eyes rolling as she read over the words. She turned to her husband, letting out a faint snicker. "Look Av'ahern. Their Okarir'mali is incompetent. Knowing my lari'maronn, she would ne do such things." She said before handing the missive over to him. "And a purity trial!?" She snorted from the amount of laughter. "They haven't had one of those since 12 S.A. Maybe the ways of the Silver City is changing. But I am glad we are ne with it."

Ro'ya Nullivari hummed as she read the missive, eyes swimming with humour as they trailed slowly over the parchment while her lips tilted upward as a sly grin graced her features. "Oh lari'onn, whatever have you been up to.." She chuckled with a short shake of her head. Standing, she leisurely tore the missive, throwing it into the flames within the fireplace before her.

Telos Andria'liene complains about how it's not that hard to not get caught in acts of crimes in the Silver City, and that maybe Seraphite and April should have tried harder. "And here I was thinking I'd burn bridges over something more grand." Later, the Tilruir returned home to drink some tea and reconsider his life choices.

“Poor kid probably didn’t even do it- considering us ‘aheral pride in our propaganda. This must be because this youngling spoke out or something…” An ‘aheral adorning beautiful silks while they laid inside of a bed within the sheets of this bed commented while keeping a sorrowful and sadden tone. But, after some seconds of reading the notice again, she’d stand from their bed to walk towards the fireplace. After doing this, the Seregon tossed notice into the roaring flames, then running to a desk within the hotel room to prepare writing a letter with a quil and freshly made ink.

"I look away for a few days and Sera goes burning down buildings." He sighs, shaking his head. "Though I fail to see how this is impure; it is no different than the last back-and-forth organized coups, assassinations, etcetera." Shaking his head, he wonders if he will have to go killing more elves just to keep her alive. With a sigh, he leaves the note on the embrasure of his hearth before heading out for yet another day.

Lleinde Tillun'sae  is literally a socialist, not currently a member of the Silver Council and holding no official power, and creating ground-up community-led social movements to enact change such as entirely community-run Societies, the by-hand personal construction of the Haelun'orian Arts Centre, and the open petitions of 'diarchist' - though, a m ore apt term would be conservative or traditionalist - ideal mentioned, encouraging the same from those of differing thought. Such an elfess had in fact written many a work upon her thoughts, the most prominent being the Doctrine of the Pure, from which stems most of the petition ideals listed. The elfess and her movement would be quite appalled to know of any 'common folk' within Elcihi, the blessed Citizenry, who had not the benefits of food, water, education, shelter and any other conveniences provided for them by the Silver State - such indeed would be something to petition about.

In fact, hearing murmurs from a couple Mali'thill whom she had not before seen in the Silver City, and seeing the tragedy that had occurred in her short absence of but a few Elven hours, the Tillun'sae stood from her usual corner of the Eternal Library, a singular tear sliding down her pale face. A hand placed to her heart, the elfess garbed in simple, elegant red robes would seem most disturbed. "By Larihei..", she'd exclaim, a tight grip set upon the papers. "I cannot believe there is such a hatred for free speech within Elcihi, one cannot even make peaceful protest without being met by vicious, brutish action as the burning of all my fine work.. It was the work of many days, to construct my wonderful Arts Centre, to write up my simple petitions and humbly ask for the agreement, or disagreement, of the blessed citizenry.  I have worked tirelessly, with no Council role to uphold, to still assist the progress of Elcihi, encouraging my fellow Mali'thill to create petitions of their own, make progress, bring ideas forth.. And see, this is how it leaves me."
