Assorted Poems of the Silver State

Vol. 1 Ando Alur

There it do be, thy soaring city of grace;
flecked with flora and the country green.
White are her walls, claiming dominion of space,
many sepulchres abide unseen.

Beneath your marble spire do you retire.
Oh, high prince, most generous you’ve been;
a rapacious hand could only cause ire.

On the fringe, two pale towers cling.
What thou among the cloud’s hast never known
is the fire-and-pyre, when she would ring.

Away! away! for you have sinned,
tremble upon the residence of paradise and noumena;
Ando Alur is no place for the finned!
Cast down the unworthy! and tell me dear traveller have you seen a:
Puxie in the wind.

Alas, your journey here shalt be of fable;
much like the High Tales I do proclaim.
Forlorn white towers those rocks do cradle,
the pursuit of magic be its aim.

Well... there's the first of hopefully many to come!

I want to mention that I was inspired by The Media Wizard's 'The HIGH TALES of the FOXHOLE', to write this short poem (Includes a cheeky intertextual reference).

I'm literally brand new to all this so take it easy on me :)

A prince smiles upon reading the missive, turning towards the nearby gathering "I told you he was a promising scholar."
