It's been one year. In early 2020, reports of a virus began to sweep across the world. Few paid attention at first, most assuming it would pass or wouldn’t affect their own community. However, reports only increased and soon cases appeared all around the world in every country. Those affected would become lightheaded, feverish and cough violently. Within hours or a day they’d be dead, or so they would seem. Shortly after those infected would die, they’d begin to move once more. But they showed no sign of a pulse or breathing, they simply moved and attacked anyone who they could. If someone was bitten or infected in any way by the risen dead they soon would have symptoms of  the virus before following the same pattern.

 

The nations of the world rallied to stop the spread, but it has already spread to much of the population. Many governments enacted martial law, but within months containment became impossible. Entire nations collapsed, or the government fled into hiding. 

 

Within the United States martial law was declared. The outbreak had started within New England, so early on they attempted to contain the virus within the region. Within one month it had spread to every state. The United States Government had nearly collapsed in the following chaos. Remnants of the military or other branches of government are still attempting to operate with little success. However, hope remains within the various groups of survivors which have appeared across the nation. Each facing their own struggle and story ahead. Will they be able to rebuild a world from the chaos and put an end to the walking dead which now roam the world.

This is going to be a new Forum/Discord Rp for those interested. It will be set in a  zombie apocalypse, one year after it started. The region which will be playable will be the whole of New England

The Lost Platoon is the 30 survivors of Platoon D, 2nd Company, 401st Special Forces Response Regiment. The S.F.R.R for short was a patch work of any highly trained and available military member lumped together. In the later months of the infection they were all that was left of the U.S Spec ops. While the regular army fought and died in massive battles with infected hordes, the 401st worked behind the scenes. They were the ones forced to deal with wiping out entire populaces as containment.

 

All that is in the past now, D Platoon is simply trying to survive. They comprise several special forces members, and a large amount of marines, naval officers, and red cross liaisons. The Platoon finds itself trapped on Jamestown island, after a failed attempt to find proper vessles.

Within the town of Wolfeboro, a bunch of single and/or divorced men who like re-enacting the second world war would decide that they were going to band together, and stop re-enacting their dreams, instead enacting such dreams of Second World War United States Army Warfare, of making trenches, getting victories, and maybe, just maybe, getting a hold of a tank :)

The union of Nantucket; the Sons of Siasconset. Built upon the wit, industrial advancements, and vigor of its past, this union is now among the most confined countries in its corner of New England.
Their ports, trade, and medicine are among its current greatest strengths. Unfortunately they lack some in weaponry. Nantucket is a delegative union. A single head - appointed after their first technological breakthrough at the start of the apocalypse, runs and controls the overall society whilst also delegating tasks to the folk of their council. This 'head's identity is largely unknown, though they've called themself the 'Seraph of Siasconset'. 

 

The people of Nantucket are quite content. They live honest lives and while income might be lacking, their science and newfound advancement within their new society helps relieve most of their issues. Religion holds no importance in their lives and, if anything, has made them more just. The Sons aren't very spiritual, either, and rely more on the world around them and their own folk tales for entertainment and guiding.

Founded by a lost unit from the United Kingdom taking part in wargames in the local national park as the apocalypse hit. Without a substantial way to return to their home country they set up a small Enclave within the Town of New London. Attempting to restore a semblance government to the town the Enclave armed themselves with equipment scavenged within the town in which they set up establishing an oligarchical government in order to properly manage the area.
