It brings cold wings from the Rimeveld that cut at the flesh like steel, and snows that fall from the sky like a white monsoon. It brings the need to shelter cattle and fatten them with scarce feed, and the ceremonial Colborn wedding goats freeze in their stables. The Winter, however, brings more than that -- for now, it brings a new chance for glory. It brings a chance to be immortalized as a champion, a chance to be the name cheered by every tongue, and the chance to WIN. For the Winters of 391-393ES bring first series of the Haeseni Sled Racing Championships! It brings MARIAN KART! Carve your sleds and feed your dogs, for this Winter the Crown of Haense will host the first Marian Kart Championships. Sled-racers will pit their dogs and sleds against other competitors in this three-circuit challenge spread across the next three winters to determine the first Marian Kart Champion of Haense. CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION Marian Kart Rules [[Sled-racing is just going to be boat-racing on ice, with the race tracks featured below being turned into traversible ice for the race.]] Racers must provide their own sled; Racers must provide their own team of four sled dogs [[this is just for flavour RP, train some dogs]]; A sled can carry a team of one to two, with one driver; Racers cannot leave their sled during the race except crashes or to lift it back on track; Racers cannot damage another racers' led during a race; The racer who has the best average placement across the three circuits will be crowned the Marian Kart Champion! CIRCUIT INFORMATION The Marian Kart Championships features three distinct circuits that participants will race on, with one circuit to occur each winter from 391ES-393ES. These circuits feature different rules and lap requirements, as featured below: CIRCUIT ONE - THE PRIKAZ | 391ES [FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH] The Prikaz Circuit The Prikaz Circuit will consist of five total laps; This Circuit will start in the Arena, wind its way out around the Tournament District, past the chessboards in front of the Palace, wind through the gardens, and back into the Arena; At the end of the gardens, racers will be required to lift their sled up the steps [unfortunately, it was too hard to make this out fully flat; at the end of the gardens you'll have to break your sled and replace it atop the steps at the end of the garden. You'll be reminded of this before the race starts.] CIRCUIT TWO - KAROSGRAD BAY | 392ES [WEEKEND OF SEPTEMBER 24TH, DATE TBD] The Bay Circuit The Bay Circuit will consist of just one long lap The Bay Circuit will start at the Reinmar Jousting Arena, wind down through the fiefdom, along the boardwalk leading to Karosgrad Harbour, and then expand out onto the bay and wind broadly around several ships before finishing at the foot of Mondstadt. CIRCUIT THREE - THE CITY | 393ES [WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 1ST, DATE TBD] The City Circuit The City Circuit will consist of five laps; The City Circuit will start in the main gate, head down Crown Avenue before veering through the streets according to the above map.
