MunaZaldrizoti 5674 Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2021 Spoiler [!] A letter is copied and delivered to every settlement, nation, and thoroughfare found upon Almaris, bound only by simple twine. To the inhabitants of Almaris, I must apologize for the grim-tidings this missive carries with it, though I feel obligated by my oath to the Aspects to deliver this news unto all who might listen. A party of willing druii from the Mother Circle, lead by myself, ventured into the Voidal Hollow to discern how we might begin to put a stop to it's evident and growing expansion. Initially, we were met with an abominable landscape, scarred and twisted by the magic that persisted there. However, following a confrontation with what seemed to be a sentient stone construct, the true nature of this corrupted landscape revealed itself to us. Transported to an unknown realm, devoid of all life and light, our eyes were made to view a terrible vision of both past and future. The fall of Ando Alur was played out like a story before us, the screams of it's victims echoing in our ears. But even more troubling was the vision of the heart of the hollow, erupting in fiery light and fury, scorching the continent and rending it into pieces. Carrying the burden of these visions onward, we were met with something even more foreboding. An obscured, armored individual residing within a distorted manor, who spoke to us of an Order of the Dandelion, some gathering force to oppose the hollow's destructive path. This person, giving no name or other identity, foretold of a prophecy that would come to pass: "Serpents sleep at the bay of the Black Sun, while monsters stir already in the strait and sea." I entreat with you, leaders and guides of the innocent citizenry of your cities and nations, please heed these warnings and decide if you wish to be chased from yet another home by the forces of the unnatural. The time is ticking down upon this tear in our very reality, and only we may decide if we shall answer it's invasion with passive compliance or defiant force. Signed, Syndra Caerme'onn, The Wyvern Druid Spoiler Follow-up from a fun event hosted by @Lockagesand the ST! I encourage anyone interested to schedule a visit to the Voidal Hollow. Looking forward to seeing the story unfold! Also, feel free to reply, as this is an open-letter to the entire continent.
TheWhiteWolf 1028 Share Posted November 27, 2021 Deep within the unhallowed tombs of the North an individual clad in blackened armour of infernal nature observed a map before them, their taloned digits gently coming to carve deep gashes within the arm of their throne. The map depicted Fenn, a city under siege and surrounded by the Children of Xion who carried the banners of the Black Sun. "Soon.. so very soon shall the city of Fenn be reduced to ash and rubble.. the Black Sun already watches over them now and it shall soon come to fall upon the rest of the world, by our hand we shall make this so." the discordant voices that escaped that armoured husk sounded like some distorted choir and the Infernal figure rose from the throne to venture deep into the depths of that blackened Sanctum. Left behind on that table, several arrows pointed away from Fenn to the rest of the major cities of Almaris.. the Crusade had only just begun.
Toffee 1069 Share Posted November 27, 2021 Josephine Aleksandra read the missive as she strolled along the riverbanks just outside of Providence. It had been intended as a short walk, a breath of fresh air, but as her eyes skimmed the dire prophecy, her footsteps hastened northwards to Woldzmir. She kept her eyes on the river all the while, now nervous as to what could lurk in the depths. The missive found its way to the desk of her sister, for whatever help it could provide in her studies of the voidal tear and all its consequences. @UnBaed
Tulan 443 Share Posted November 27, 2021 Ruathar frowned deeply as he sat among his fellow Mali'ker when he got the news. "We must aid our brothers in the snow, before we let this scourge spread to all of Almaris unhinged. As the caretakers of this world, we as the sons and daughters of Malin must lead this fight. Rather than sitting in compliance and accept the annihilation of the Mali'Fenn." He urged the the ker around him to go to the Fennic Remnants when the time would come.
