Sitting deep within his study and looking upon a letter that had just been granted to him, a certain mage's face darkens. He scanned each stroke of ink pledged across its page, searching for whatever falsehood would lie beneath...if only he looked closer, there might be a flaw, an illusion. But alas, there naught to be hidden; Somehow - he thought - This was the work of desire. That of his own, that of his kinsmen...the curse that so fervently plagued his own kind. All was of little concern now, as his face was cowled in the hearth's absence, the clutch of cold despair taking hold in his very core...

A flame had been snuffed.

The Dovian Sorcerer would find the letter in his mail box. Shock overtook him as he read the letter- a grim look on his face as he folded it up. Soon, he makes his way to Kallian's old home, ready now to undertake the last request of his both mentor, companion, and most importantly- friend.

That so called young one, found himself near that faithful tower, finding a seat along the ledge, curling his hand around yet another new coffee mug, "Ich should've hit him again." The highlander lowly mutters to himself, glancing to his healing knuckles, "Tis vhat happens vhen vy mess vith t'e lion...Vy get eaten." He said with a ligh shake of his head, his gaze rising to the Horizon, only leaving himself to ponder.

The Cloaked Figure emerged, a morose and depressed expression on his face as he returned to Keep, the Paladin having fulfilled the Draoi's final will and right as a Descendant, delivering the letters. And without a word, he'd disappear into the Sanctuary's hallowed depths.

Elsewhere, a 'Ker would kneel on the floor of a dormitory, silent as he grasped a tear-stained missive.

An Adunian scholar would shed a tear upon hearing of the death of his old friend,  "Fhois dhut, roh seann elkor...  and may you find peace, wherever you are now."  The scholar would fold the letter away, before continuing the exploration work that he and Kallian had begun so long ago.

Looming o'er the grave of he whom she had slain, a Lady in Silver would fold her hands behind her back, frowning at the brimstone-laden coffin as it was lowered into the ground within the walls of the fortress she yet called home. Remorse crept at the edges of a guilty conscience, but the crackle of silver lightning and exaltation of Order kept such mortal frailty well enough in check. A single tear, laden in starmoon, fell to the grass which coiled about her feet - 'fore she turned, stalking off from that which she had wrought.

The hulking, towering lion of a man sat in a neat, well appointed laboratory, excising burnt, charred flesh under the precise cuts of his own scalpel, with his motherly figure there to help pacify the pain. "Told him not to run" Muttered the lion in the ever passive, unemotive gravel of his voice, letting out a snarl of pain as another cut was made to remove more ruined flesh. He would live, but a lesson earned in this conflict. Even a simple flame can lay low the mightiest monsters.

Sylvari would open the letter only assuming it was Kallian from the handwriting..... Only a few moments would pass before the woman fell to her knees uncontrollable tears flowed down her face yet not a sound could be heard. As she continues to read over the letter her brain would only wonder "Why him? What did you do to deserve this, its not true" she clutched the letter to her chest letting the tears fall, soon after taking a deep breath before letting out a blood curdling scream and echoes thought her home and the nearby forest.... It was official the elfess had meet her breaking point.

A Beardling would receive the news through various sources. He sighed, covering his mouth as he gave the situation some thought. "Trubblesome..." he muttered.

As Sionnch sat going through the daily mail the strange letter stood out, taking note of the name on the front she opened it and began to read, soon tears taking over her from the short passage. followed quickly by her famous rage,

"another lost to soon, far to soon"

snarling in the stuffy room, setting the letter in a drawer.

and from the stuffy room a flurry of letters were sent, though she may not take up her glaive in this hour, but hell hath no fury like an angered woman, gods bless the person who hurt her wards.

Among the rage and cursing coming from the villa, a small fox darts out with a letter, headed north towards the home of Sylvari.

There was quiet in the Horisp home. The missive had been brought to Talons, and now golden armored fingers gripped the paper tight. There was a look of grief on the woman's face, and she couldn't help the shaking in her hands as she took shakey breaths. Kallian was once a dear friend of hers, and to hear of his death struck her deeper than any knife. "I pray...you have found peace...mo chara.
