What is it that you reckon being the most beautiful place in your homeland?

If specifically the state I was born in the United States - I love the Blue Ridge Mountains both for the atmosphere and the ineffable tune by the Fleet Foxes. In terms of the United States in its entirety, I personally hold the Red River Gorge in Eastern Kentucky to be dear to me and I also loved Muir Woods & Carmel-by-the-Sea near San Francisco.

Why did you choose the name?

I am and have always been a history geek. Across multiple games & apps, I typically made usernames such as suntzupin, haraldhadrada, saladin_hamza (my Steam name), and more.

Dude, Muir Woods are ******* insane - the redwood trees for instance. I grew up in NorCal and it's one of my fondest memories going there with my family.

Big Sur, south of San Francisco, is also gorgeous. The Cala Lilly Valley and the waterfalls into the ocean are worth the visit.

Was there any storyline or event that you really wanted to make work for LOTC but just didn't quite pan out? What was it (If you can share)?

Now this is a question that brings back memories.

I was one of the first official Lore Masters for the server in late 1.0 and early 2.0 maps in addition to (iirc) TehLulu, SerenityOnyx, & PtahWithin. One of the challenges we faced at the time was the fact that our 1.0 map file slowly became corrupt (I probably explained it poorly, but for technical reasons, we needed to make a new map). This opened the can of worms that is the server lore's canon regarding multiple continents & worlds. We wanted to have some pre-built structures and ruins on the next map and basically needed to author an explanation as to 'how they got there'.

I chose a relative low-fantasy explanation involving the Wandering Wizard ushering certain tribes who hadn't fared well in the initial war against Iblees through a portal (the same portal that the Wandering Wizard would open for people moving to the 2.0 map in real time) and gave them passage to Asulon in 'ancient' times. This centered around two groups primarily that eventually came to clash - a dwarven tribe and a Farfolk tribe with the dwarven tribe having developed a type of runesmithing that was unique and separate from the runesmithing of the 1.0 dwarves and the Farfolk tribe developing a form of short-distance teleportation magic.

I wrote an entire novella essentially describing the dwarven tribe attacking the coastal city of the Farfolk tribe in a kind of D-Day attack with golems coming ashore. I had fun writing it, definitely one of my lesser quality pieces given the age of the writing, but this lore had been retconned. Though, I heard on the grapevine that this may see the light of day on the server 😉

Yep! The Farfolk tribe were named Zil'Maktum and I think I have some character art lying around that I had commissioned for this.

As being apart of the community for so long and being a lore master, how would you feel lore has changed over the years and do you think it has grown to a solid point?
