Terry 1859 Popular Post Share Posted December 3, 2021 13th of the First Seed, SA 53 (December 2nd, 2021) ᚾᚨᚱᚺ-ᛞᚨ-ᚾᚨᚴᚺᚢᛗ'ᚢᚱ-ᛞᚨ-ᛟᚱᚡᚢᛚ-ᚾᚨᚴᚺᛁᛗᛁᚱᚨᛉ FROM THE OBSIDIAN THRONE ᚡᛖᛚᛖᚱᚨᚴ-ᛟᛉ-ᛞᚨ-ᛟᚾᛟᚱ'ᚴᚨᛞᚱᛖᛚ'ᚾᚨᚱᚺᛖ To the Holy Orenian Emperor; No monarch who has an ounce of wisdom would say that they despise peace and prosperity, any good leader knows to pursue it over unneeded conflict. However despite this, when our diplomats reached out to you regarding the conflict that has been brewing, we were insulted and had been refused the acknowledgement of the grievances. This is not a mutual misunderstanding, it was an unnecessary attack on dwarven folk, unprovoked by the ISA. If there were any supposed events leading up to the drawing of weapons on dwarven travelers, then surely we would have been informed prior. Instead, it appears to myself and my council that alleged pre-existing threats by Irehearts are only brought up as a pathetic excuse to justify bloodlust enacted on young dwarves. Now, we face letters defaming our treatment of our vassals, accusing us of attacking the good Canonist Church, and the rousing of a reserve army when not even a denouncement nor grudge has yet been published by Urguan. These are lies, fabrications laid out to manipulate our neighbors into thinking our Grand Kingdom has gone stark and now attacks random civilians, both of our nation and yours. Many of our vassals have independently spoken out against your words, insulted that you would call them prisoners to an evil empire. This will not do. Our terms are simple and as follows; i. TURN OVER the Duncan who led the assault on our dwarves for a fair trial under the Mountain, ii. APOLOGIZE for the actions of hostility against Urguan, the defamation of our honored name to the world, the brazen violation of our pact by ordering attacks on travelers, the banishment of dwarves from Oren, and the rousing now of an army in preparation to attack us. iii. PAY to the Obsidian Vault a sum of 3000 minas to pay for the costs incurred by the events transpired, a fine for denying previous attempts of diplomacy. However, I know the pride of a ruler to be great, my own likewise to yours, and as such offer a secondary solution if you do not wish to surrender. If you are adamant on settling this on the battlefield, but would prefer not to drag the entirety of Almaris into our feud, than I propose an HONOR WAR OF OREN AND URGUAN, so that no other neighbor shall suffer the chaos and for us to settle our dues with blood and steel. I await your response, Philip II. Narvak oz Urguan. signed, Grand King of Urguan, Lord of Clan Frostbeard, Thane of Rhewenholm, Great-Grandson of Rhewen
VIROS 2709 Share Posted December 3, 2021 The Archchancellor receives the ultimatum while taking her morning tea. She addresses her Vice-Chancellor, "Ulfric's beard will make fine material for my brother's coronation wig, don't you think?" @Minuvas
DahStalker 2846 Share Posted December 3, 2021 (edited) The sound of shrieking metal produced a morbid melody as the head of the tyrant elfess bobbed along feverishly in its hymn, hands working away at small metallic gears as she screwed together pieces of scrap metal, lips fastened in a grin. The Architect seemed to have taken a break from the chaos of designing and co-supervision the reconstruction of Oren, allowing all the pent energy to drain into her craft, foot tapping. "I feel a storm brewing." Edited December 3, 2021 by DahStalker

__Clocky 762 Share Posted December 3, 2021 A shrouded 'ker sits in his forge. Ruminating. Brandishing his blade. Turning his head towards the crackadonk bodyparts piled up beside him. "I finally have a use for this. Horen's children shall pay." There yonder a noise could be heard from Elysium. Biconical crystals amounted glowing upon the steps into the chancery. Hammer striking anvil as the 'ker set to work.

Rhewen 348 Share Posted December 3, 2021 Volden Frostbeard sings a low dirge as he sharpens his axe, remembering the many Grudges left from ages past. Left unanswered by forgotten warriors of old. He eyes the blade, then peering to the missive delivered by a courier. "T'at's focken roight" he exclaims, then hones his axe even sharper.
cappor 545 Share Posted December 3, 2021 Iscesi scans down the missive, a grin growing wide across his face. "Fools, the Empire - challenging the Kingdom of Urguan will be soon proven their fatal mistake" He'd comment to the last few of the Velulaeionn clan, laying the scroll down atop his White Sun Company crafted table.
Pancho 2499 Share Posted December 3, 2021 (edited) A young Mali sat at his desk, reading the missive with a smile. As he read the last sentence, he began to chuckle. "Tis almost midnight Llirs!" As he bellows, a small group surrounding him cheers, ready for the possible conflict, and possible revenge. AnonymousAlexa 3877 Share Posted December 3, 2021 "They will comply," proclaimed the head of 'Ceru from the confines of her tower situated upon the beautiful mountains of the Grand Kingdom. "Or they will face my blade." She fell silent for a long moment as she recalled the glorious victories she had won against the Imperials throughout the years.

CharmingCavalier 1723 Share Posted December 3, 2021 Henry Penton yawns as he examines the document. He spoke to an aide near him, “we won’t have to spend nearly as much on this conflict as the Nordling War. The walls will only need to be three feet tall and it’ll make it impossible for the half-men to see over!” Then the old man cackled at his own joke, bumbling into a rumbling cough not soon after.
