Nectorist 7347 Popular Post Share Posted December 8, 2021 Spoiler EVERARD VI ‘THE SCHEMER’ 12th of Sigismund’s End, 1849 It is the Pontiff in which WE, the children of Horen, trust to be the seat of GOD. It is within the Pontiff’s oath that the Pontiff must exercise the authority of GOD with justice, courtesy and love as the example of Horen. Yet, it is EVERARD VI ‘THE SCHEMER’ who broke that oath and the trust which we, HUMANITY, placed within him. In his vain attempts to ensure the secular power of his patrons and break the power of our united Empire, he has covenanted with vicious heathens of the Urguani invasion. The goal of the High Pontiff is to ensure unity in the faith of mankind. As the vows of tradition state, “Will you lead your people in proclaiming the glorious Word of Horen, so that the good news of salvation may be heard in every place?” Whilst we face such trying times, it is a grave insult to approach heathens about establishing a counter-alliance to nations of Canondom is absurd - the Encyclical Letter written by Everard warned against spilling Canonist blood, yet where were those values in the Pontiff’s attempt to continue a war that would result in the loss of countless Canonist lives? Rather than stand and answer to his crimes, the High Pontiff fled to environs unknown - and sicced assassins and blackguards on the pious guardsmen of Savoy. What would the purpose of this be, speaking spiritually? Is it a temporal matter, an attempt to keep mankind divided and the Elven and Dwarven nations ascendant, or a Secular one to maintain the authority of the Church in our political affairs? We shall not learn the answer, but we shall continue with the singular truth of God, with faith in the Mother Church and its ascendant High Pontiff, Michael I. IN NOMINE DEI, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Philip III, Holy Orenian Emperor, forever August, King of Renatus, Curon, Kaedrin, Salvus, and Seventis, Grand Duke of Ves, Helena, Novellen, Furnestock and Lorraine, Baron of Renzfeld, Protector of the Heartlanders, Orenian Highlanders, and Farfolk, etcetera HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Anastasia of Kositz, Empress consort of the Holy Orenian Empire, Duchess consort of Furnestock HIS SERENE HIGHNESS, Olivier II, Prince of Savoy, Duke of Corazon, Count of San Luciano HIS HOLINESS, Michael I, Pontifex Maximus of the Church of the Canon, Servus of God, Archiepiscopus of Visigia, Episcopus of the Holy See, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Summus Pontifex of the Church of the true Faith, Custos of the Canon, Missionarius to Aeldin, Princeps Servus to the Exalted’s Testaments, Servus Humilis of the Faithful and Vicarius of God HIS HIGHNESS, Olivier I, Prince Emeritus of Savoy
Axelu 3691 Share Posted December 8, 2021 “It behooves the flock of the faithful to restore righteousness to its sheep. It was Pontiff Everard who crowned my mother, the first Apostolic Queen of Sutica, and it was he who crowned my own father-in-law, the Prince of Savoy. He was, without a man, a doubt with unbridling virtue. How could he turn so wretchedly upon us, his leal audience, when it was he who was entasked to promulgate the word of GOTT?” Thought the Princess of Savoy as she was genuflected before Michael I, flanking her own husband as the Ashford crown was lain upon his head. At that moment, all worries dissipated from the mind of that Barclay scion. Michael I was a man who would not be swayed by foreign devices. He was good, temperate, and above all divine. The tumult which consumed Il Palazzo Aggrade suddenly stilled and a bright light clouded Catherine’s heart and filled her soul. “With faith, the great fire of humanity is restored.”

CharmingCavalier 1723 Share Posted December 8, 2021 Peter d'Arkent looked to his tutors with surprise at the missive, wondering what to say. He simply repeated what he has said all along, "any man who believes we should conspire for war on our own kind is dangerous." His tutors nodded and then swiftly returned to lecturing him on the importance of domestic economic development and foreign imports. The young duke just wished he could be a boy again.

sergisala 2791 Share Posted December 8, 2021 "When I was told about the treachery of Everard VI I could not believe it. To think that a man who two saints days ago coronated His Imperial Majesty and his consort now conspired to forge an unholy alliance against the Holy Orenian Empire? Truly a shame...Anyway, long live His Holiness Michael I!" Sir Charles Galbraith remarked, still clearly confused of the situation that he just witnessed in Savoy.
