The Baroness of Vullerimoz, Diana Vuillerwould sign the Lorraine as she read the missive.

“May GOD guide our path and may he lead Oren to continued greatness. . God, Empire, Family.” She mutter the last few words quietly to herself.

"Now tell me how it wen' down again cousin? didn't he send out a missive tearin' into the High Pontiff jus' a few days ago callin' him a schemer? so is he runnin' with his tail tucked 'tween his legs like the typical yellow bellied orenian or is this jus' another one of them terrible amateur orenian plots to get in close wit' the pontiff? wha' do ye think?" Andrik Baruch would shout the question down the dinner table, ruining Duke Baruch's quiet evening away from politics as usual. @Gusano

Gunter Barclay laughed and laughed as he wandered the halls of the keep in Reinmar talking to some cousins.

"So, get this, and this is the best part really. The Emperor apologizes, then demands that he be able to choose his own penance. And, no no, this is the best part."

He laughed some more.

"His penance is that he gets to have his title as Fedei Defensor back!"

He cackled a bit more.

"I need to try that next time." He put on a mock deep voice. "Forgive me, father, for I have sinned. As penance, I would like to be punished with two chocolate cakes and a large mug of Carrion Black!"

Sophie knelt at her bedside, or what was left of her packed up bed chamber, her hands clasped together as her elbows rested atop the red-dressed bed. The youths mouth moved slightly, barely even whispering as her eyes were held tightly shut. “I love GOD, and uhmm thank you for what you’ve given me.” she managed out, her eyes hesitantly opening one at a time as she concluded her very short prayer.

A man of Haense begins writing his list of those who betrayed the Canondom, he prepared to keep this parchment for a long time:

"Olivier Renault, the first to betray His Holiness,"

"Philip III, second to betray His Holiness, alongside his wife Anastasia,"

"
Jurgen Barclay- first to defend his Holiness, Godan bless his soul." He continued on,

"
Valentino Gradic, third to betray His Holiness," His lips pierced into a small frown at this.

"
Olivier II, fourth to betray His Holiness,"

The man paused as his list went on, he read the list over and over- once, twice, then a third time. The man rose to his seat before offering a simple hum,
"It appears the Savoyards were some of the last to betray Canondom. Perhaps this 'new' Oren is no different after all."

“As His Holiness, High Pontiff Everard VI once was a monk, there are vows that must be taken. The vow of poverty does not only apply to the holy men who dedicate their lives to the church as a monk, but to His Holiness as well. Land will not suffice for the heinous crimes, nor the sacrilegious fighting within San Luciano’s basilica. Was it not also sacrilege to attempt the death of God’s most holy servant? Was it not of utmost sin to throne another and notice him as the true Pontiff? Land will not compensate for sin, and those true to God would’ve offered the church land many moons ago upon ascension to the throne.” A large man contemplates, hoping to be answered soon enough.

The Dowager-Duchess of Adria remained unmoved, emitting a sigh as she debated the letter with her daughters.

Hugo Horst snorted. A short misstep, but an embarrassing one. Only time would tell what would come of such a capricious decision so early in the reign of Emperor Phillip III.

"Let us see to it the Church does not leave 80% of its flock in excommunication for very long, while it has fallen into the bosom it Haense - who only last saints hear wanted to remove the Church from her life.

Would hate to see if the people of our most Holy Orenian Empire figure out how to live, absent her Church, because the Holy Father wishes to dispute much further with his brother, the Emperor"

Would remark Minuvas, curiosly wondering aloud if the Clergy will just sit idly in Karosgrad while pious Orenians looked for services. They must be rather...bored. He thought.

As part of her studies to become a priest, Ileana Sava Ursović found herself reading some histories of the church. She found one recent one intriguing, when the Archchancellor of the Empire, the ISA, the king of Haense, and the HSA all laid siege to the basilica in Karosgrad. Her eyes had widened at that, as she had heard tell from some people in Providence that it was the Haeseni alone who had done such deeds. She made sure to mark that down in case anyone mentioned it to her later, and then went back to her duties.

Decidedly, she was certainly not bored.

"Seems more of a threat than a concern, this elf should be joining his emperor and empress on their walk of atonement, he is the one who caused this after all." Remarked Walton.

"Do you start to feel a bit more 'Holy' yet?" Joseph Clement de Sarkozy responded to Walton.

"More than those who tried and failed to schism and subsequently hide behind lies and deceit." replied Walton to Joseph.
