Pureimp10 5178 Popular Post Share Posted December 10, 2021 ENCYCLICAL LETTER HUMILITAS OCCIDIT SUPERBIAM HUMILITY CONQUERS PRIDE OF THE HIGH PONTIFF EVERARDUS SEXTUS Addressed to the Bishops, Priests, Deacons, and the Laymen of the Church of the Canon. On Recent Excommunications and Interdicts. HIS HOLINESS EVERARD VI, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, Archbishop of Visigia, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD. "So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid my faithful this: You shall not judge your own virtue, be it great or small, for all fall short of Me." (Virtue 7:8) Most Beloved Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction. There are two parts to achieving full forgiveness for one’s sins. The first is the confession, in which the penitent clearly states the sin they have committed and announce that they seek forgiveness. The second part is the penance, during which the penitent performs some deed to counter the evil created by their sin. For a thief or one who takes, their penance might be to return or to submit to the authorities. For greed, the penance might be to give to charity. For pride, a sin for which even We are guilty and have confessed to, the penance We were given was to dine with the poor of Canondom, to remember that We are Man just as they are Man. When both of these have been completed, it is then that the confessor offers ablution and pardons the sinner for their transgressions. For the sin of schism, which We have stated is one of ultimate pride, We gave what We believe to be a fitting penance. The Prince of Savoy, responsible for leading his countrymen away from the light of God, wore humble clothing, walked from San Luciano to Karosgrad, braved insults and projectiles flung by faithful Canonists, publicly confessed his sin to Us in the sight of all, and performed the remainder of his penance swiftly and without hesitation. The confession and the penance have been completed, and now the responsibility falls to Us to finish the sacrament. We find Olivier II’s penance acceptable to God, and so hereby lift the excommunication We placed upon him at the onset of the schism. With this also comes the withdrawal of the interdict placed upon his country. To Our Savoyard clergy who had withdrawn with Us to Haense, We say to you now, return home! Tend to your flock, and guide them back into God’s light. Remind them that God has forgiven their sin and given them a new chance to serve Him. Furthermore, We see it fit to withdraw the interdict upon the Holy Orenian Empire as well. Their government and their people have condemned their schism and the false Pontiff Christoff, and have reaffirmed their loyalty to the one true Mother Church under Our leadership. We see no reason to further punish the innocent people of the Empire, and so We declare the interdict over Oren to be withdrawn. Orenian clergymen are urged to continue performing services for the common people of the Empire. May God’s flock suffer no more. For the Emperor and Empress, however, their excommunication shall remain in place until their penance has been complete. This is not an act of revenge, as some would call it, but an act of justice and prevention, to ensure that no further attempts to undermine God’s authority will be made. We have every faith in their Imperial Majesties’ commitment to fulfilling the penance We have issued for them and completely mending the divide in Our church. We shall pray for both Savoy and Oren, as We pray for all Canondom, that all may feel the love of God. May God bless you all. LightTheTrainer 464 Share Posted December 10, 2021 Jordan Cardinal Jorenus was, perhaps, somewhat saddened to see the departure of the Savoyard and Orenian clergy, who had so livened the city for the past few months. But, alas, it was what must be done, for who is to inhibit the rightful leading of Godan's flock? And so, he went back to the drawl of his daily duties.
Taketheshot 3834 Share Posted December 10, 2021 Joseph d'Azor growled as he was assisted out of bed by servants, the man had barely survived, both his arms broken at the elbow, cut by rusty blades upon his arms to carve out flesh and a gaping hole where his eye had been burnt out. He remembered the moments he had been taken before the Grand King who so lovingly consorted with the men of GOD. And he remembered as the servants, and government officials, of the new supposed Fidei Defensor stood by, watched, drinking and eating with their halfmen kin as he, a devout Canonist from his first breath was tortured and abused in public. "The Fidei Defensor will have answers...." The man spoke as he lowered an eyepatch around his head looking to the window with gritted teeth. "And his answer is to allow one of GODs children to suffer such. Pennance will be had..."
erictafoya 2302 Share Posted December 10, 2021 From his residential area in the Nikirala Prikaz, Andrik would be smiling as he read the letter from His Holiness, the one true Pontiff, Everard VI. "Finally, I can return to San Luciano to complete our Embassy!" remarked the Prince to his pregnant wife, Nikoleta @zuziee

Ser Viktor 'the Beast' Baruch of Haense smiles the Sun's Smile as he recounts that day in Urguan. While he took no joy in the suffering of his Canonist brother, he found it rather amusing that, for the second time before the war had even been declared, Joseph d'Azor found himself in the chains of the so-called halfmen.

amyselia 2182 Share Posted December 10, 2021 Lady Provins had been at prayer for the Emperor and Empress through numerous sleepless nights. In half a year, the fatigue of her humanity was tempered by the hand of GOD, asking her to witness the clemency laid before those most holy of monarchs in what was deemed their folly. "I must remain stalwart and guide our people through this." Such was a refrain within her mind whenever she felt rest at her eyes, bidding her to fall to slumber even at her leaders' time of need. Yet the madame did not fail, for she did not herald the Pontiff's raising of the excommunication as a goal to be achieved, but as a lesson to hold fast to her faithful heart. Thus, that night was among another in which Claude's belly lay empty in fast, her body withering as her soul was reinforced in the light of the lord's remediation; the time of the spirit was nigh.
Lapidary 371 Share Posted December 10, 2021 A young boy, hardly six scanned across the letter his father had left on his desk. Hans von Alstreim mumbled to himself, a hand moving to grip the collar of his ever-present canine as he recalled the penance walk. "Cardinal," he spoke to the dog beside him. "We muzt never do wrong lyke that, ja?" Another thought crossed him, the boy caught for a moment in a vision of his own. What if he had done wrong? It caused a mild shake to think of himself ragged and walking like Otto. "We zhould study the zcript more.. I think I might be Gott-fearing and man-fearing."
