By convention established at the First Waldenic Diet, the electee was to assume the honors of Lord Vandalore and Margrave of Vanderfell and Presidency of the ongoing Diet. The Electorate of MERRYWEATHER-ALSTREIM, represented by ULRICH LOTHAR von ALSTREIM, received a nomination from the Electorate of FREIMARK. The proceedings were interrupted by two guest non-Electors of the Diet, ROBERTA de CHALONS and EIRIK BARUCH. Both requested that the Diet affirm their nominations on the account of their Waldenic blood. After much deliberation, the Diet unilaterally rejected the nomination of ROBERTA de CHALONS. The nomination of EIRIK BARUCH was put to an emergency vote of the Diet. EMERGENCY VOTE: CONFIRMATION OF THE NOMINATION OF EIRIK BARUCH JA Bishop Richtenburg NEIN Freimark Reinmar-Kretzen Merryweather-Alstreim ABWESEND Sarissa The vote failed 3-2. No other Electorates received a nomination, nor expressed their desire to be nominated for the time being. Thus the appointment of ULRICH LOTHAR von ALSTREIM as the Lord Vandalore and Margrave of Vanderfell was put to a vote of the Diet. VOTE: APPOINTMENT OF ULRICH LOTHAR VON ALSTREIM AS THE LORD VANDALORE AND MARGRAVE OF VANDERFELL JA Bishop Richtenburg Freimark Reinmar-Kretzen Merryweather-Alstreim ABWESEND Sarissa The vote passed unanimously, 5-0. The Electorate of SARISSA communicated a mailed vote in favor following the session, citing health issues. The Elector of MERRYWEATHER-ALSTREIM, ULRICH LOTHAR von ALSTREIM, assumed the honors of the Lord Vandalore and Margrave of Vanderfell, and as President of the Second Waldenic Diet. AFFIRMATION OF THE CHIEF OF THE REINMAREN On the 11th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1850, the Second Waldenic Diet convened on the matter of affirming the Reinmaren practice of the election of the Chief of the Reinmaren. Votes were requested to immediately confirm the Chief of the Reinmaren, the Elector of REINMAR-KRETZEN, JOHANN ERICH BARCLAY, as the Mediator of the Second Waldenic Diet, and to adjourn the First Session, citing the lack of time. An agreement was reached to postpone the remainder of the First Session’s planned agenda for the Second Session of the Second Waldenic Diet. And that if Leopold had spent more than two seconds of his time researching such, would simply have been able to click on all the Baruch patriarchs until he naturally reached St. Otto the Bald, and that all relation to St. Otto from the Alstreims would be through the females married in!
