A MOMENT OF MODESTY

Kosher Daesmon sits at his desk in Elvenesse, reading the missive that was left at his doorstep. He would read it line by line, deciphering the missive left to him by his llir. He would read a line, think about it, read the next line, then think about the past two, restarting often to figure out the true meaning of the context.

"This is going to get interesting very quickly."

Vallein Vuln'miruel would place his hand on Amaesil's shoulder as he finishes the missive. "The aheral's are reasonable folk. I believe they will come to the table. A last stand is only valiant when there is no other way. They will see reason... They have to see reason."

Mavis Vuln’miruel read over what seemed like the one hundredth document today. She sighed reading over her father’s words nodding slowly.

“They must listen now,” Mavis shrugged pinching the bridge of her nose, “Lest maln’s words fall of deaf ears… I just hope even unity is closer.” She eyed her weapons that laid on the ground next to her.

Kolvar quirked a brow "Oh look, another missive requesting the Motherland recognise a fennic 'ata as princess over a nation that is not itself a princedom. They write with urgency for they know we always outlast them, there is a reason they exist only as remnants."

A younger 'thill, unknowing to the problems, or rather uncaring. "Baseless claims upon needless conflict. I came to talk with the traditionalist, to know the proper ways.. I had no mind to think that the evils of the world would reach even here.."

"What a pity Braxus became a slave to Kolvar and in turn Dimaethor. He surrounds himself with those he once called imbeciles and said he'd never be like." Sighed Valindra, sharpening her blade. "Perhaps he may still see sense, though I doubt it."

"Your words are wasted, mal'onn" Sevrel said to himself after reading the letter.

"The 'aheral have naught but deception and malice in their hearts..."

One 'aheral sits comfortable in his cabin in Urguan, the man kicks up his feet as he reads the missive with a big grin. That man then tosses the missive aside, replacing it with a good book and a cup of cocoa for Krugsmas. He did not speak aloud as he was alone. The house was completely silent, just as he liked it.

Urza Hawksong smiles at the missive, pocketing it as she looks to her newly reunited daughter. She then begins her way to the Docks, where she opens the door to her room in the Hawksong Manor, the woman takes a seat on the bed, sighing softly, "Amaezil moight be dizagreeable at tymez, buht 'e maykez fer ah ayla leadah. Ah juz' 'ope thoze whoite zkaher'z lizten" The woman then roots through her bag, frowning down at the thought of a certain mali'thill girl and how she might have fared in this game of life.

"Words without steel are useless" the 10 year old Amura says to no one as she reads this.

"Why offer peace talks with a nation that is known to only deceive others when their backs are turn... "

She then smells cookies and goes to do kid stuff.

Prince Amaesil looks toward Amura as he hears her speak these words. "Because it is not our job to do as they would. We must be better elves for the new age. We must be willing and able to give our enemies the luxuries that have never been afforded to us. That is what it means to be a symbol, Amura."

Edward Thuri-Elendil reads the letter as he rises from his morning prayer. The adunian offers no words of wisdom, no comments of respite. His olive eyes, ever retaining that surgical gaze, only studies the words given. With lips pursed into a frown of concentration he sets the paper down, raising the heavy wooden training sword. The future upon his thoughts he begins his training for the day, mind alight with possibilities.
