The Lord of Du Loc furrows his brow as he is outbid.

"I bid the Deed to the Lordship of Du Loc, effective after my demise, which shall'st grant the holder of said Deed ownership of the Lordship.
Surely, this is worth a near infinite sum of mina."

An appraiser is sent to Du Loc, conducting a valuation of the Lordship's material value. After some time evaluating the scale of the realm, it's climate, the fertility of its soils, the flammability of the bank and the productivity of its people (albeit whilst foolishly neglecting the value of the Lordship's gravel), a figure is produced:

"The Lordship of Du Loc is valued at 12,999 minae. This does not exceed the current highest bid of 13,000 minae."

Frowning at the appraisers horrendous misestimation, the Lord of Du Loc offers a thousand minas in addition to the aforementioned Deed.

An Inquisitor of Owyn scrounged the lengths of his abode, amassing trinkets of value, relics of vile origin that exuded EVIL, and rare materials that had come from all across the Realm, pledging them forth to the Lordship Of Du Loc's bid. The sum being in total worth: 6000 minaes.

Fearing the extents to which this might spiral out of control, with feverish visions of being handed the Iron Uzg of Krugmar or starting a war between the people of Du Loc and Haense, the Prince would issue an amendment to the bidders:

"This auction shall be henceforth restricted to liquid currency only. No material asset will be accepted as a valid bid."

Candle frowns, going to rip up three freshly inked deeds to Du Loc

The Lord of Du Loc's alcohol-withdrawn eyes twitch with ire as the meddlesome King of Haense memed his genuine bid out of the race.

"That Northern, frostbitten hosehead! Not only did he make my claim invalid, he also made claim that he OWNS not ONE, but TWO deeds to Du Loc!" the Lord says, seething, interpreting this as an act of political aggression.

"Thank the LORD I set my bid before this amendment." Father Harold smiles.

Stor wonders why nobody has been able to create a cure. He reasons it must be because there is some form of Green Devil trickery which prevents others from comprehending what will most likely be a relatively simple recipe. Stor then submits a bid on behalf of the Vuiller family, for 1 million minas (payable in BRAE$)

Seabreeze, Biggie Breeze, Seabreeze of the Sea-men, Banana Brawler, Haelun'or's Bane, Bane, Wife Stealer, Wife Killer, Bomb Maker, Alchemist, Pirate, Mage, Breath-Mint, Pirate (again) was reading about this missive.

The Musin was approaching a nearby auction house to begin bidding on this item despite the fact that... For all contents... It was not even there.  Along his journey there was multiple gates, and people guarding them.  It was very, very, VERY Gatekept.

When the Musin arrived, he quickly took his seat watching some fellows familiar and not bidding.  And so, the musin cast his own bid.

The Musin began vomitting out a bird skull from its previous meal, it was promptly kicked out as all the gatekeepers began hitting it with bats to knock it out, they were quite good at it.

The End.

Amidst the confusion of various dead bodies, calligraphy kits and deeds of dubious validity being issued, the auctioneer would clarify that the current bid is tied at 13,000 minae.

Responses are issued to the two tied bidders, clarifying that one must outbid the other to proceed on account of the identical sums offered.@Undubitably @Slorbin
