Father Erhard signs the cross inside of his private chambers, expecting none of those swift intruders to comment on his doings, "Led by God we stand, and we shall do so until our last dying breath."

High Prophet Norli finds it remarkably amusing that the Holy Orenian Emperor's only rebuttal is that he, in fact, is a greater authority on the Church of Canon, and that anyone who thinks he is guilty of an attempted schism, despite his Arch-Chancellor admitting such wrong doing, is clearly just a Pagan Puppet. "I give et up ta da Pontiff, his schisms are certainly more interestin' den mine!"

"Citizen Philip Novellen ought to stand down, lest he stand before a National Convention!" said the Landgrave of Alstreim to his friend Maxim. He was fond of witty puns and wordplay, though he made no such claim of his own.

Victoria Emma blinked repeatedly after reading the missive "I don't know how they expect this to end. Even if they depose of all the Peers of Oren and the Monarchs, do they think the citizens will bend the knee to Haenser rule?" The youth shook her head. "Only further fracturing whatever grip the Church of Canon had left on the Empire. I half expect the Red Faith to be the new majority religion by the end of this saints year."

"Mad because anathema." a peasant loyal to the true faith chants repeatedly on hearing Victoria babble to herself.

A 'Thill paladin holds the missive in one hand, her daughter, Ella, propped up against her opposite hip. "This, oem'ii, is why we do not subscribe to the Canonist church. Faith is good, ti, but the church has been corrupt since before the time I was born. After all, look at how long they left the geist, Hound, haunting their Haeseni church, despite Haense's belief that they're the most pious of the Canonist valah." A pause, her head tilts, recalling the geist she had fought against several times and purged the curses of at least twice. She would be lying had she claimed she had not grown fond of the beast, forever missing it to some extent. "You need only glorify the Creator, not his servants on the mortal plane such as a corruptible pontiff. Xan, on the other hand, will only demand your service as proof of your devotion and faith...that is, should you follow the path most of those in your talonn'ii have."

Joseph d'Azor pens a letter north to Haense with a demure frown spread across his face. "I'm sorry Eirik, we cannot have our bagpipe jam session. I am being excommunicated." The letter would fly north the Archchancellor on the verge of tears from his Fitzpeter nephew's evil attack!

"Poor thing, did Leopold not offer you a place on his Council of State?"

Would that loathsome beast yet linger, it would indeed cackle at the mockery of this so-called schism; but alas, it was felled, scattered within the Ebrietaes after being annihilated by the collapse of a voidal tear. Canondom could not kill it, but abject perdition certainly could!

The simple peasant doesn't understand the girl so shrugs and says, "At least I'll go to the seven skies."

All he knows is God, Church, and farm. That was all he wanted to know.

The baron of Westfall sits in office when a clerk comes in a copy of the letter
" Sir... seems like someone wants to get you Excommunicated!" the clerk stuttered
Henrik takes the copy and reads it over a few times
" you know what fine!, i rather not be in the same church as the murder pope, in my time there has been a mad pope and now a pope of death.... How much is the church willing to lose over this.." he said before placing the copy of the letter into a folder with the label: Pope of death

Eirik Baruch pens a letter south to Oren, a surprised and saddened expression upon his face as he delivered it to the courier. "Just put on a fake mustache! I am sure that no one would recognise Josef var Asor!" The letter pleaded, the Lord Palatine proceeded to slam his fist into the desk, weeping.

The Doctor received the missive that was placed on her desk, breaking open the seal to read the letter inside. Upon finishing the letter, Dr. Primrose Gendik-Komnenos brought a hand over her mouth in thought. The moment of ponderance passed, prompting the woman to remove a clean piece of parchment and start writing her own letter - poor birds in the past 24 saint-hours must be absolutely exhausted.

"To the High Pontiff,

I am sure you are getting many letters and missives these days, and without my face you may not recognize me - but we in fact have quite the history. Many years ago, you were the one who excommunicated Arlo Cooper and granted us a divorce - freeing me of the grief and pain that marriage faced me with.

Years have gone by since then, but our paths crossed once more at the attempted assassination in Oren. While I did not help with fighting as I was ill-equipped due to the losses of the war, I was there to treat your wound. I would like to apologize to my harshness to you or those around us, as many people talking and giving advice is very distracting and stresses me out while working - I am sorry that had happened. However, I of course write this letter out of concern and thus following if these concerns are confirmed, asking a favor.

An open letter has been written to you concerning excommunication of Oren as well as specific members that had signed their names on a letter written by Anastasia I. While of course this excommunication proposal will have to be considered by you and it may not be accepted, my concerns grow more by the minute.

First is the question of moral. One should not harm those who follow the Crown simply due to it being their job and survival. Those who live within Oren and signed that letter should not be penalized for something they cannot control. All in all, you will be affecting those who defended you in that assassination attempt and people like Sir Jarad Munnel Vuillerian, whom you've granted great recognition to in a recent missive.

My main concern is not on recognition for treating your wound, but on a specific man. One man on that proposed list - an Arthur Komnenos - is my current husband. A husband much better than Arlo Cooper. A good man who fights for the justice of people just trying to survive in this cruel world. While I am not asking for public recognition, I do ask for a favor that is owed be returned at this time. If this list shall be followed and the excommunications commence, spare my husband.

No person in this conflict of missives is clean of sins, not even I. While the Emperor and Empress surely have their flaws and sins brought forth by the concerns of Charlotte Augusta Novellen, so too is this Charlotte not absolved of sin. I am appalled that this excommunication is being brought upon the people of Oren who must live with their situation and do what is done to survive and are being punished for it, when Charlotte was caught in bed with the King of Urguan during a raid on Urguan in the early days of the war. What greater sin is committing such an act - an act between a husband and wife that is so sacred - and yet was done between a human and dwarf out of wedlock? Where are the cries of outrage for them?

I do not care about the outrage against Charlotte nonetheless, but wish to point out the hypocrisy of the situation. I merely bring this letter asking for a due favor. I hope this letter finds you well amongst the chaos of missive wars and that the wound has properly healed and has left you without a scar.

GODspeed,

Doctor Primrose Gendik-Komnenos

Baroness of St. Lothar"

Dr. Primrose Gendik lifted the piece of parchment from where it rested on the desk to gently blow onto the ink. Once it was dry, she folded it into an envelope as she heated golden yellow wax over a tealight. The wax had melted after a few minutes and she poured the wax over the envelope's fold before placing a wax stamp over it. The wax would harden and the seal be removed, leaving an impressed of a sunflower on the wax stamp. Finally, the letter would be sent off to its recipient - the High Pontiff Everard VI.
