StokedOff 374 Share Posted January 19, 2022 Vigilants of Luara Forming of the Vigilants of Luara: Formed by Vor’sul Des’Nox on the 11th of The Deep Cold, Year 59 of the second age. During Vor’sul Des’Nox’s travels on Almaris he discovered that the Nation of Elveness was led by a non-spiritual ker named Evar’tir Oranor. Although it was good news to Vor’sul that Elveness allowed a Mali’ker to rule them, he knew that it was for nothing if the ker was not a spiritualist. This angered Vor’sul. He grew up in Vira’ker which was a united Spiritualist Mali’ker city. Vor’sul knew that Luara was the one who created his kind and he believed that any ker who thought otherwise was weakening Luara's grasp on her portion of the spirit realm. This lead Vor’sul to form the Vigilants of Luara to better teach his fellow ker of the spirits and to strengthen Luara’s grasp on her creation. Vigilant Ranks: To become a Vigilant, seekers must go through three trials given to you by a Haruspex or the Viscount. The Ranks are based on experience not only with the guild but with the spirits as well. Your rank will only progress if you are knowledgeable and experienced in both. Truthseeker - Not yet a Vigilant but one who is seeking to become one through trial. Worshiper - A fresh Vigilant who has just been converted to the spiritual faith or has recently joined the guild. Practitioner - A Vigilant who is well versed in the spirits and oftentimes teaches others of the spirits. Fanatic - A Vigilant who goes above and beyond the average practitioner. Oftentimes they lead their own band of Vigilant’s on conversion expeditions. Haruspex - They lead the religious aspect of the guild. With their storytelling they guide the vigilants on their path. Their visions are taken seriously and their opinions always heard. Viscount - The leader of the Vigilants. Always a Haruspex, the Viscount is the head of conversion operations and spiritual activities within the guild. Trials After seeking entry into the guild those who are referred to as Truthseekers will be put to the test with three trials. One trial testing their Knowledge of the world, another their Spirituality, and finally the third tests their physical Strength. Trial of Knowledge - The Truthseeker will be sent out into the world to obtain an object that represents knowledge and is not currently obtained by the guild. Trial of Spirituality - The Truthseeker will be tasked with studying a spirit of their choice and must construct an altar, totem, or shrine in that spirit's honor. Trial of Strength - The Truthseeker must find a non-believer of the spirits and sacrifice them to the spirit they chose in the trial of Spirituality. Uniforms: Guild Members are required to wear uniforms when on duty. Truthseeker - Fanatic: Haruspex - Viscount: APPLICATION (Will seek out IRP as well) MC Name: RP Name:
