THE DELIBERATIONS BEGIN

The entrances to the clergy district of Karosgrad had been closed. The Basilica of St. Henrik’s doors shut firmly, lest foreign influence taint the proceedings. Five clerics, bearing backgrounds of all varieties, sat around a grand table. The College of Cardinals of Everard VI had begun their deliberations.

Those five clerics were Fiodor Cardinal Allobrogum, Francis Cardinal Albarosa, August Cardinal Providentia, Alfred Cardinal Nescia, and sat at the head of it all was the Vice-Chancellor, Jordan Cardinal Jorenus. Placed before the Vice-Chancellor was an ornate box - those votes to assign the next High Pontiff would be placed within.

The Vice-Chancellor stood, to begin a prayer, the same that had been used at the previous conclave,

“Heavenly Creator, walk with us as our mediator and judge to endow us with a sound mind and contrite heart in the election of the next Pontiff. Grant, we pray, that by your infinite wisdom and omnipotence that whomever is chosen shall reflect your mercy, compassion, strength, and duty in the exercising of this great Holy Office. This we ask in prayer, in the name of all Aenguls, all saints, and of the universal church, Amin.”

Jordan then drew a Hussariyan cross atop his chest - the vote was to begin.

Francis Cardinal Albarosa sits at his desk in the Conclave, before a small sheet of paper. He taps his charcoal pen against the paper the few times before finally writing a name. He folds the paper, and with a deep breath he places it in the box. That Clergyman signs the Lorraine and sits back at his desk.

Manfred is deeply excited for the eventual surprise of another Haenser Pontiff for the church of Haense, he would wipe his brow then return to work.

Walton is concerned for the men who apparently care little for the church yet seem so obsessed.

Cardinal August manages to appear out of nowhere briefly to cast her vote before returning to her state of mourning.
