Werew0lf 12006 Popular Post Share Posted February 23, 2022 THE LANDING OF THE OSHIMA The Return of Dynasty Published 1861 A fierce cold swept over their ligneous shipcraft; the waves carved danger-signs across its’ firm timber. In the distance, burgeon-flames swayed over hipped rooftops and men donning karutas pierced their own sternums in a display of chivalry and honor. Men, women and children fled towards the dock, and were led by the rampant splay of hands from Clan Ishimoto – they gestured towards their small boat for others to accompany. The night was filled with crying babes, women huddling their younger children against their bosom, and men planning their futures amongst each other. Gelid air pierced their hay bale sleeping-rolls, and would make it disgustingly hard to sleep. This was accompanied by the rocking of the boat from the storm, and the pattering of rain that layered their skin with murk and grime. A man led this front to their new future, and he was known as Ishimoto Yukimura – the Clan Father of the Ishimoto. They had no direction, and no purpose outside of escaping their war-tainted homeland. However, the ship came to an abrupt halt as it crashed against piles of snow and cracks of ice. All could witness the drastic change in atmosphere; it was a gentle cold, one that was not ravaged by the fear of imminent death by katanas, and this cold was natural. Ishimoto Yukimura peered over the bridge of the ship, and hurried over towards its aft. “Look there, kyoudai. It is cold, and bitter. I see lanterns, and rooftops that differ from our own. I see mountains carved by the Kami, yet they are useless without the hand of our own.” He spoke calmly, as his plates creaked. “We have found our new home.” Ishimoto Yukimura declared, as the members of his clan (and other clans) panned their gaze towards the wintry scope of Almaris – it was near the Kingdom of Haense, yet they knew with time, that a resettlement would occur. After having overcome so much loss and turmoil within only a short year, she couldn't help but smile at the fact they finally had landed. "Your Chichioya would be proud, we have made it so far. Now we must continue to rebuild all we have lost."
