With thanks to all those who guided us on our travels to research this guide, so others might follow in our footsteps and visit these sites themselves, as Acolyte Hans Braun put it in his Thesis on Pilgrimage, to find your path if you are lost, and become closer with GOD

SECTION I - Preface

In 1854, the Secretariat to His Holiness made a request from every bishop in Canondom to give a listing of all churches, cathedrals, basilicas, oratories, and other sundry sacred places in their jurisdiction. Unfortunately, her murder in the Basilica of the Argentate Star prevented her from completing this survey of holy lands. An investigation of her correspondence found only two responses to her request, from the Bishop of Valwyck and from Franz Wilheim, who had a preliminary survey done twenty-seven years before her request. Those responses have been included here, along with the findings of the author in her travels across Almaris. With dedication to GOD and the Holy Mother Church, this document is hereby submitted to the Curia of the Canonist Church for their use.

THE HOLY CHURCH OF THE THREE SAINTS

Oratory of Hallaberg

AN UNDEDICATED OUTDOOR CHAPEL

Oratory of Honeyhill

Diocese of Leumont

The Diocese of Leumont encompasses the areas of the Kingdom of Norland. Since the end of the Tenth Nordling War, the followers of Canonism have largely been driven from the Norlander reaches. The Diocese is currently purely titular.

Shrines and Altars

The people of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska are known as very proud and pious people. In fitting with such a reputation, they’ve lined some of the roads with shrines dedicated to those Saints of Haeseni descent. Half of these can be found on the main road from the Rimevald to the City of Karosgrad known as the Saints Route, though some can be found outside the seats of nobility and in rather isolated spots of the Kingdom’s lands. As can be seen below, there is reference to a ‘Southern’ Shrine of St. Emma of Woldzmir. The other shrine’s location is unknown to me, and several other shrines may have been lost to the wilds or warfare since they were built. Those that survive and I found on my travels are the:

SHRINE DEDICATED TO SAINT TYLOS OF KALDEN

SHRINE DEDICATED TO SAINT KRISTOFF OF HANSETI

SHRINE(S) DEDICATED TO SAINT WILFRICHE OF HANSETI

(There are two, one on the main road and a second outside the keep of otistadt, without a specific region specified. Probably a private endeavour)

SHRINE DEDICATED TO SAINT OTTO OF VANDERFELL

EASTERN SHRINE DEDICATED TO ST. OTTO OF VANDERFELL

SHRINE DEDICATED TO SAINT KARL OF PETRUS

SOUTHERN SHRINE DEDICATED TO ST. EMMA OF WOLDZMIR

WESTERN SHRINE DEDICATED TO ST. NAFIS OF AL-DIRAHK

SECTION III - Metropolitanate of Providentia

THE BASILICA OF THE ARGENTATE STAR

Seat of the Metropolitan of Providentia

SHRINE DEDICATED TO SAINT HIGH PONTIFF JAMES II

SECTION IV - Archdiocese of Albarosa

This guide does omit possible private chapels contained within the numerous large stately homes of the Orenian nobility which are largely inaccessible to the public, and only includes the few public Canonist sites situated along the roads or in the settlements dotted around the Empire.

Diocese of Rochefort

THE CATHEDRAL OF SAINT THOMAS

Seat of the Archbishop of Albarosa

THE CATHEDRAL OF SAINT ALEXANDER OF FURNESTOCK

Under repairs after being burned in the Tripartite War by Imperial Loyalists

THE SHRINE OF THE WARTIME TRUCE

OWYNIST WAYSHRINE OF OREN

THE OWYNIST TEMPLE OF KAER'LASSAR

THE OWYNIST TEMPLE OF KHAMER'PARBAT

Diocese of Pocitinata Maika

The Diocese of Pocitinata Maika is a titular diocese only, after the Vasoyevi people contained within were sent into diaspora upon the destruction of their city, Sava. Nonetheless, the diocese does contain the ruins of:

THE CATHEDRAL OF SAINT NEFIS OF AL-DIRAKH

Former Seat of the Exarch of Pocitinata Maika

Shrines and Altars

SHRINE DEDICATED TO EXALTED OWYN

SECTION VI - Archdiocese of Allobrogum

Since the Dissolution of the Commonwealth of Sutica and the recreation of the Principality of Savoy in 1836, liberating the land of its unholy name (with such an unholy reputation), several fine examples of Canonist worship have been created.

Diocese of San Luciano

THE BASILICA OF VEN. PONTIAN III

Seat of the Archbishop of Allobrogum

THE CHAPEL OF BL. JON RENAULT

Oratory of Rivera

AN UNDEDICATED CHAPEL

Oratory of Rozania

THE MONASTERY OF ST. ALEXANDER

Diocese of Freimark

THE CHURCH OF BLESSED NICOLAS

SECTION VII - Author’s Notes

There is no doubt that this is an incomplete list of holy sites, including only those currently active church lands that are easily accessible. It is a certainty that there are a plethora of oratories currently unknown as they are behind locked doors and gates. Additionally, there are series of church lands that are now in ruin throughout Almaris that are not included in this document, such as the original abodes of the lectors in Luciensburg. It is this author’s hope that this document will be the first of many editions as omissions are corrected and as the church continues to expand.
