Grimdal Irongut would return to the capital after his short journey. He spoke to some of his kin, soon learning about the recent events. He grew quiet, memories of the past slowly finding their way back to his consciousness. "May dah Brathmordakin value 'is sacrifice." he said, taking a seat. "Shoite..." he said as he stared at the ground.

Spoiler

Come to think about it, Grimdal has known Gildroc better and longer than I had suspected. Makes this a a sudden change which I hadn't expected, but there you have it. It's been a pleasure to see them around.

Robert, in a moment of contemplation was deeply saddened by the Urguani's decision. Despite this the Major turned to his servant to reaffirm his position "Tell me, surely if he had any sense they would have signed the document, no?" The elderly man sat at his desk for a moment reaching for a glass of whisky before turning towards his servant standing at his flank, "We did give him a choice after all..."

The Servant simply bowed his head politely, in that moment the Major frowned deeply turning back to the missive in front of him to continue reading dissatisfied with the response from his staff member.

"Immae enjoy stranglin' t'ose shites" Glod growls. Gildroc was a good man, he had been a major help to glod, and was a great dwarf.

Jorvin Starbreaker limps his way to a nearby campfire, a bundle of classified papers tucked under his arm. Jorvin sits himself down with the aid of his axestaff, and hastily begins burning the documents. A slight grin creeps on his face, satisfied, he remarks.

"Poor lad... Jus' like auld Dimlin."

In the distant hills, in a distant cottage, a dwarven epiphyte sits solemn. He heaves a sigh, taking a sip of tea. He offers his messenger a seat, listening to his tale. His eyes drifted down to the table when he was finished, "The Price o' war, ain' I'? Ah 'ope wit' death came peace, frien'. An' Ah 'ope ye know wha' ye've lef' be'ind" he raised his cup to the sky, setting it down.

As he walked around the city, Marius spotted something along these lines explaining the situation.. He had been wondering where Gildroc went as no one informed him since he was away at the time. Upon reading the news, he broke down into tears. "Why!" the dwarf screamed out in despair "Gildrohc.. Mah friend.. Why.." He walked to his clan hall, entering the mighty Irongut library, he looked through the books.. One or two even written by Gildroc, trying to drown out his sadness..

After this failed to help him, he then visited the Legion hall.. Remembering how it was Gildroc to recruit him in the first place, the one who got him his first equipment, his first pay.. The one who took him on his first patrol.. His first (second and third) legionary of the month, and his eventual promotions that ensued.

After this, he found his way to the 'Hall of the Gods' as he called it, because.. It was a hall with all the Gods in it. He walked straight up in front of the statue of Yemekar and then proceeded to draw his sword.. And swear an oath, a sacred oath, over his sword, witnessed by the Gods.. "Ah swear 'tis oath.. In dah nahme of Dungrimm an' All mighteh Yemekar.. Ah swear 'dat as long as ah 'av breath ehn mah bodeh, ah will nae rest until evereh Orehnian scuhm rests in dah dirt.. Ah will salt deh lands o' Oren, soh nae crop may grow, an' dah land responsible for 'dis nevah rises from dah ashes of death."

"'Ah swear nevah toh associate, drink 'wit, or ehn aneh way fratenize wit' an Orenian. 'Ah swear dat evereh Orehian ah meet shall be meht with mah blade, ahn ah swear dat regardless of Urguan's 'ostility or peace wit' Oren, ah will nevah make peace wit' Oren. 'Ef ah break 'tis oath, may dah gods strike meh down!"

"Ah swear 'tis on mah 'onah as a Dwarf, as ah friend.. Ahn as ahn Ironguht.. Ah will use everehthehn in mah power toh stick toh 'tis oath. Ah will use aneh enchantments ah 'av at mah disposal. Ah will use mah 'ands, an' ah will use mah blade"

He shed a tear as he sheathed his blade once more.. He found himself walking to the legion hall, to Gildroc's old quartermaster station. He just stood in front of it for a minute, and then he spoke, almost a whisper

"Narvak.. Oz.. Urguan.."

"Death.. To Oren.."
