ibraheemc2000 2564 Popular Post Share Posted April 2, 2022 “Welcome Oh Ramadan, and wash over me the peace my tears cry for, and secure for me the security in knowledge of the passing of the test.”- Ibraheemc2000’s Dua Hello Everyone, it has come to the time once more. I will begin by introducing myself, I am Ibraheem, I had been apart of the LOTC community since 2016, and ever since then, I had every Ramadan had made a post about Ramadan on behalf of the Muslim community of LOTC, and also give out a challenge to everyone on LOTC, which anyone can partake in. There is a few reasonings for this, one being is that during Ramadan many of those in the Muslim community cut down heavily with their activity on LOTC to focus on this month. Edhem.. Now… HAPPY RAMADAN! ITS BACK ONCE MORE, LET OUT YOUR VOICE IN JOYOUSNESS! What is Ramadan? Now, What is Ramadan, and Why is it so important? First, i'll go into a small history, Ramadan is the month that Holy Quran was revealed, In this month, Muslims believe that Shaytan(Ibless/Devil) is locked up, and that all good deeds are multiplied by Seventy(70) and Bad deeds are removed, and to express the greatness of that, a smile is considered a good deed, So you bet we muslims be good deed farming where ever we can! Though what Ramadan is most known for, is the FASTING, We begin fasting from sunrise to sunset, in this fast, we do not eat or drink, nor partake in human desires(Adult stuff!) In this month, we turn our actions and efforts into memorization of the Quran and learning of Islamic studies. Now, many ask, WHY do you fast, and to answer that, There is MANY reasons, but the most predominant ones are that we are improving our self control(for the sake of Allah), We are sacrificing our food and hunger to put ourselves in the position of the poor and Miskeen(A person who has nothing and CANNOT improve their situation without help), To teach Compassion and empathy, and our dependence on Allah. Fasting Benefits Not only this, Fasting in this certain way is actually SUPER healthy for you!(Do note, you are exempt from fasting if you poor, on your time of the month(women stuff), medical needs such as medicine or emergencies, and if you vomit and extra, please consult with your local imam for more details or look online, TDLR Fast if you are able, and do not fast if you cannot medically) Fasting actually super healthy for you, a matter of fact in Ramadan, you are not supposed to have giant feasts, but small healthy dinners, and not overeat, a common mistake which takes place when fasting, because people fast all day and when they can break their fast, they go all in with a huge plate, instead they should eat small portions and healthy foods, this is heavily encouraged. Now what does fasting do to the body if done properly? I'm glad you asked! This will make you self care people very happy, and those chads who like to go to the gym and get fit! When you fast in this way, it actually detoxes the body. Now here is the breakdown of each stage of the thirty days of fasting! Stage 1, during the first couple of days of fasting both blood sugar level and blood pressure level drops, and the body begins the cleansing process, the first few days are the hardest as they are usually accompanied with headaches, dizziness, nausea and intense hunger. Stage 2, during the second stage, the body becomes accustomed to the fasting schedule, and the digestive system is able to rest. The Digestive system’s energy now focuses on cleansing the body and healing the cells as the white blood cells start to become more active. During this stage the organs start their repair process as well. Stage 3, by the third stage energy levels will have increased, your mind is able to concentrate better, and a overall feeling of wellness, During fasting the body’s healing process becomes more efficient, and so the body repairs any damaged cells during this stage, during this stage the colon, liver, kidney, lungs and skin are detoxing by eliminating toxins. Stage 4, during the last ten days of fasting, the body has become accustomed to the fasting process, your body becomes more energetic and you experience of improved memory and concentration, at this stage the organs are finishing up their healing process and once all toxics are removed the body is able to function at it’s maximum capacity. These are just SOME of the physical benefits of fasting that will take place in the body. But your good deeds you do this month will feel FAR better than anything you do this month! A Month of Self Improvement Ramadan is a month of mercy, in this month we focus on charity and the aiding of all life, but most importantly Ramadan is a time of SELF IMPROVEMENT! In this month, Muslims do their utmost best to cut off bad habits, and straighten themselves up to be a beacon of Modesty, Honesty, truthfulness, and Good characteristics and members of their communities! To help explain, I will use a wonderful explanation I was taught a few years ago.Let's say you have a cup of water, with a single leaf inside it and a spoon, The water represents life and habits, the leaf is yourself, the spoon is shaytan, if you start to stir the water, the leaf begins to follow the water flow, going faster and faster and going into more and more violent habits, but suddenly the spoon stops stirring, what happens? The water and habits slow down and then eventually stops, When the spoon stops stirring, you were able to collect yourself and stop some bad habits, and began to strengthen yourself, and in that time you collected some better habits(charity, kindness, empathy extra extra) but you only got one month to prepare for the ENTIRE year of chaos. So you need to start strengthening up, so when the stirring starts happening again, you do not fall prey to it again, and how do you do that? You remove some of the water, give it off, you don't need it, so when the stirring starts again, it can not twirl you around crazily like it did before!Ramadan should not just be practiced by Muslims, a Month where you stop and think on yourself and your actions, a Month where you begin to improve yourself and start taking on good habits and dumping the bad habits, A month of charity and kindness and compassion, A month of humbleness and connection.Message from Myself With the the current events in the world, Wars, Suffering, Occupation, Genocide, homelessness, murder and profanity, Lets take this month, and look for a moment, and connect with our humanity, We see the news EVERY SINGLE DAY, and now adays, it doesn't even shake us when we hear of war, or killing of innocents, its like a everyday occurrence and now so normal it doesnt touch out hearts.. In this month, let us reach deep down into ourselves, and grab our humanity, and plant it into the ground, so it can grow to be a shade for those who are suffering. Let's take this month and become HUMAN again. THE ANNUAL CHALLENGE!! Now that is all cleared up. We now go into the ANNUAL CHALLENGE! This year, I challenge you to smile at FIFTY DIFFERENT people this week! You can do so on lotc but I prefer if you do it irl as well AND @ Someone with a complement down BELLOW!!! TO You Discord Admins! Please be considerate in your discord chats and make specialized food channels, so those who are fasting, don’t get caught off guard and their fasting more difficult! To Those who wish to learn! I will be in the Fakhr Oasis discord, with several others of the Muslim community have special channels and chats to discuss Ramadan, Islamic history and studies, Quran studies, Islamic video sending, and inspiration! To help keep some form of activity on lotc, we will pop online in the masjid and listen to darses in the discord, or have quiet islamic lessons or arabic lessons then, this would be random.
