Hearsay of Hanseti-Ruska - XIII

Emma Karenina did a double-take, eyes widening as she reread the passage about her youngest son. As the clock on her mantle ticked past, the Koenas remained frozen in her chair, clutching the gossip paper ever-tighter. "Dorothea... PREGNANT?" She whispered to herself. Promptly, her eyes started to water. "Mea? A hauchmamej, already?"

She stood abruptly, resolving to finding a rather neat solution to quash any further rumours... "JOSEEEEFFF?"

Amicia de Joannes quickly put down the Hearsay after reading the things about her sister. She could not believe it, she trusted the bastard. She quickly took her quill and send two angry letters, one adressed to Matyas and one to Adele, as she had not told her own sister what happened. "He shall pay for this." The woman murmered underneath her breath before sending of the letters and packing some clothes.  "Frederick. I have some business I must attend to in Haense." She announced to her husband as she loaded the bags on the back of her horse, kissed her children goodbye and began to ride for Haense.

Lord Alban, 3x Karosgrad Times Bestselling Author (though surely he were to become this many times more in the future), idly read over the contents of the edition of the Hearsay, sloppily leaned against a wall, the floor were lined with emptied bottles of Carrion, Wine, and whatever alcohol he could've got his hands on. Was it worth it? He pondered, yet whatever conclusion he came to for that question was immediately muddied by a mirage of other thoughts, most of which centered around Adele.

Konstanz Barclay was quite the happy bartender that night, his pockets jingling with the coins the Lord Alban had exchanged. Having gotten quite deep in a few bottles himself, the Baron seemed to write a play of some sort, drunkenly walking towards Matyas whilst doing so "Get over here lad, it's nicht going to write itself!" he'd yank the Hearsay from him before quickly reading through it's contents, slowly returning his gaze upon the heartbroken man while chucking the page filled with Haeseni gossip away "Well, du could've done it with someone ein lot worse, in fairness."

A certain foreign princess breathes a deep sigh of relief as she sips her tea “Maybe it’s good I’m not engaged, these Haense folk are wild.” She immediately regrets her words as she thinks of her own actions these past few years involving Haense men. “Ah…nevermind.”
