Words of years past, but their day of utterance still affects us all…

Morul Irongrinder sat down upon a simple bench within the Urguani tavern, thinking of times both recent and distant in his memory. He'd reminisce on his unyielding goal, “innovation” he called it, but was it really that? Had he innovated at all? Or had he simply recreated the follies of magi long past?...

Morul could not help thinking he was correct in his pursuits, in his goal, for that was the curse of power, but what he had truly done was abandonment, that of his family, that of his morals. In the far reaches of that sorcerer dwed’s mind would always be the question “Why?”.

Morul’s own children actively sought to avoid him, Bomrek, that once round and happy dwedki was missing for many years, having wandered off into the world. Azdor: Morul’s unjustly favoured child had also been missing for as long as Morul could remember, seeking out his own path to glory and importance.

The Archon of Clan Irongrinder had few friends, and those he did have were out of pity,

He’d be treated with respect, not for his goals, but for his supposed knowledge and power, but what is power if there is no conduit for it? Nothing but a path to madness…

And madness he did possess, thusly in a break of insanity, he’d give his belongings away to a young beardling half his age, then going to leave Urguan:, his home with nothing but a backpack and whatever food he could fit within… likely never to be seen again, him setting sail upon a small steam vessel, only sized for a single crew member: himself.

To those who knew him, they’d notice his home abandoned, his experiments failed and rotten and nearly all his valuables missing. All they knew was that he was gone, missing.

Svuli Metalfist sighs, the dwarf thinking back just as Morul did, to the time when his friend was a kind and hopeful dwed - He went to sit down as a strong migraine came about him. "Per'aps weh all delved too deep fer knowledge an power..." He said out, the dwarf slumping back into the chair, trying to relax.
