Our third race of the season, which is yet one of our most intense ones, featured the most race finishers with seven snails finishing the race! The 425 St. Karl’s Barracks Grand Prix is monumental, as Amadea Bihar’s Snance Snoll and Force Rhenyari put themselves in the Championship fight, and Emma Karenina’s Snailman finishes a third race consecutively!

 

Shmichael Shellmacher took pole position today, lining up ahead of Ricky Bobby and Snorlando Snorris (who, for a third time in a row, starts third). The race got off to a slow start, as many of the snails hadn’t prepared properly. There was brief carnage at the beginning, but no snails crashed out from the get-go.

 

Later on, however, Snickelsen would have a bad pitstop, so bad, in fact, that he never left the pitlane at all! He was never able to get out of the pitlane, and the team retired him from the race. This is similar to what would later on happen to pole sitter Shellmacher, who despite a race lead toward the end, had his shell fall off after a slow pitstop.

 

HR Alban-Ludovar also had a disaster today, despite their team having both of their snails in the race at the start of the race, Snark Snailber had an accident and crashed into the wall, which caused Snailbastian Snettel to pit, who crashed immediately after exciting the pitlane.

 

Steroids, who has had an absolute blunder of a season start, much in stark contrast to their teammate, Snailman, attempted to utilise one of the circuit’s name shortcuts, but ended up spinning, crashing into Snairlwind and taking them both out of the race.

 

Guardians of the Snailaxy, who got a podium in the first race, have been unable to finish a race ever since. Issues struck again, and neither Skidmark nor Snailium the Great Jr. were able to finish the race due to issues and accidents. The Ayrikiv Snailworks had no luck either, and the team has yet to score any points, despite two pole positions for the team.

 

It was a fantastic result for RB Kortrevich, who entered the Championship with Esmée Kortrevich’s Chicky Chick for this race, who managed to get home a second place finish. Snaile Earnhardt Jr. took home third place for the WFR Reinmaren Roadsters.

 

But the team who took all the glory today was Force Rhenyari, with Snance Snoll winning the race, and Ricky Bobby taking home fourth. This is the first time both snails from a team have finished the race, and thus the highest-scoring result for any time, which puts them right in the Championship fight!

 

Snorlando Snorris, Snailman, and Shellita S’cargo finished fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively.

 

As it stands, the Racers’ Championship Standings are as follows:

1st - Emma Bihar and Snailman - 51 points.

2nd - Amadea Bihar and Snance Snoll - 33 points.

3rd - Karl Bihar and Snorlando Snorris - 28 points.

4th - Erika Barclay and Snaile Earnhardt Jr. - 27 points.

5th - Adrian Colborn and Snickelsen - 25 points.

6th - Margrait Ruthern and Shellita S’cargo - 18 points.

7th - Esmée Kortrevich and Chicky Chuck - 18 points

8th - Sorina Luceafaru and Snailium the Great Jr. - 15 points

9th - Lucien de Savoie and Antonius Vilac - 15 points

10th - Isa Basrid and Ricky Bobby - 12 points

11th - Matyas Alban and Snailbastian Snettel - 10 points

Everyone else has yet to score points.

 

As it stands, the Constructors’ Championship Standings are as follows:

1st - CR Emma’s Cooking - 51 points.

2nd - Force Rhenyari - 45 points.

3rd - PR Sigmar-Auréle - 43 points.

4th - WFR Reinmaren Roadsters - 27 points.

5th - SNAAB Ultra Speed - 25 points.
