The Brimstone Treaty

This is a treaty between the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the Vale of Nevaehlen, the Paladins of Sunbreak and Lady Ytrisse of the Twins. It concerns the conquest of the Dark Islands, a group of cursed islands in the Southern Seas, the future of Lady Ytrisse and her forces as well as a cooperation between her and the other signatories.

Autonomy and Claims

 

1. The Dark Islands will become a part of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, functioning as a protectorate and joint outpost for the signatories. 

   1. The Lady Ytrisse will be allowed to construct a headquarters on the Islands from which she can work. She is recognized as the sole leader of her forces.

   2. The other signatories will be given the opportunity to discuss the construction of their own outposts upon the islands. 

 

2. Lady Ytrisse will enter a mutually defensive pact with the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the other signatories. This pact is mainly Naval given the nature of the forces of the Twins. 

 

 

Cleansing

 

1. The Lady Ytrisse will aid the signatories in curing all victims cursed with lesser vampirism. This ties into the section ‘Education’. 

 

2. The signatories will search for a means to lift the strong spells which make the Islands inhospitable. This includes getting rid of the annoying rain.

 

Warfare

 

1. The Lady Ytrisse will continue to dedicate her time and forces to protect the oceans and coasts within her domain of reasonable influence. In extreme cases she can call upon the aid of the other signatories to deal with a threat.

   1. The signatories are to protect the Islands if they were to be under attack. 

 

Resources

 

1. The signatories will provide resources and labor force to aid in the construction of outposts, infrastructure and ships.

   1. The signatories will provide Lady Ytrisse and her forces with food and other resources required to sustain themselves on the Islands.

 

2. The signatories will be allowed to extract the natural resources of the Islands. They will do so in agreement with one another.

 

Education

 

1. The Lady Ytrisse will share her knowledge with volunteers sent by the other signatories.

   1. This knowledge concerns her research, including the cure.

   2. This knowledge concerns ship building and the likes.

   3. This knowledge concerns the threats, unnamed in this treaty, which she has mentioned during previous meetings.
