NotEvilAtAll 9926 Popular Post Share Posted June 7, 2022 Spoiler [!] A halfling corpse would be found north of the swamps far off in Attenlund, its head weirdly round and nose strangely long. [!] A note rests under the Filibert Applefoot's bed: Final Will I have lived a long live, yet with my age it is clear that I will expire soon. Thus, I write this will to detail what will come of my belongings: ~To Mimosa Applefoot, I give my burrow and all the family's herbs. ~To my beloved grandson, I give my pipe, all of my pipeweed, and all of my booze. ~To the Thain, I give all of the resources I stored in the village vault. ~To the Sheriff, I give my bounder's badge and my walking shovel. ~I give my journals, notes, papers, and quills to any halfling willing to write newspapers for the village. I wish to be buried next to Iris Peregrin, and on my grave shall be planted a single tulip. -Filibert Applefoot

With a painful expression he placed his 'Gremlin Slayer' back upon his back. Hob thereafter firmly spoke up to the skies "Why o' gracious Knox... why take me kin loike cattle o' leaveh meh standin firm o' both feet? Oi've been impropah... oi've commited acts agains' 'alflin ways. Why do ye nae claim meh?"
Notic 941 Share Posted June 8, 2022 Lily Peregrin reads over the will, exhaling as she gazed over the village, "A woise man, 'e was. Woisest oi 'ad ever met. Rest well, Filibert." Sean Puddlefoot looks up from his intense game of cards with Alfie Greenholm to welcome Filibert to the Wheat Fields, waving him over to where the old Brandybrook Halflings sat. Spoiler Thank you so much for all the amazing RP you have done on Filibert over the last few years. Filibert was a paragon of Halfling Culture and I'm excited to see what your next character does.
salamanderfantasy 632 Share Posted June 8, 2022 Abruptly as ever, Filibert is dead. Sorrel privately thinks that he'd live forever if something hadn't gotten him in the end. He wasn't the sort to lie down and waste away -- he hadn't slowed down at all in the 60 or 70 years she'd known him. The suddenness of it all doesn't help, though -- a constant presence in the village is gone, and it leaves behind a gap. She'll try to hold it together this time, but still. There goes the most proper halfling she'd ever had the pleasure of knowing.
