Beard Focus - A beard of sufficiently magnificent volume is indeed worth the admiration of many, yet should it be adorned with metals and crystals imbued with voidal essence it would become a focus of itself. It's hair radiating the light of its mage's aura, dancing of its own accord to the rhythm of their casting, or even to the whims of the caster should their focus be on their beard rather then casting a specific spell. While most of the benefits of casting with a focus are granted with such, the risks are magnified. Failure of ones spells would prove a frightful venture due to the proximity of the face. As well powerful castings with elements such as fire might risk the burning of the mage's mien.

Red Lines:

-Beards must have some form of trinket upon them which would give them this quality, such as a focus crystal, quietus crystal, mage gold, or titan's eye. These trinkets must be a ring, wire, band, or otherwise anything that could bind a beard in some manner.

-Should wires of arcanium be sewn into it the entire beard would gain the quality as if it were made of arcanium. Just like arcanium the beard would maintain its physical properties, therefore physIcally being of the same strength of hair. Perhaps taking the form of a beard made of fire, ice, or conjured snakes, upon casting (purely freeform.)

-Movement is entirely aesthetic it can not be used for an extra appendage.

-Beards bejeweled with focuses provide all the benefits of any other focus.

-Beard must be at least 1 foot to be used as a Focus. (Obscuring at least a third of the front of the toro.)

-While the beard may move about while casting, it can not be controlled in anyways consciously. This is especially true in combat.

-Hair of over 3 feet can alternatively be used to similar effect. (All the way down to the bottom of a skins back.)

-Voidstalkers with a second mind may find that the beard might harmlessly attack them, merely flailing about.

-Follows all red-lines of Arcane Focus post.

Currently writing a rewrite of Beardmancy — it’s rather hefty. Glad to see this, though.

In all seriousness, please don’t let this be a joke. It’s well writ, and solid lore-wise. It’s just a fun little addition, please accept it

Amendments/Additions implemented into main lore post. Thank you for your submission. Moving to correct subforum to prevent redundancy and clutter.
