Most Beloved Brethren of GOD:

 

Many months have passed since the Metropolitan of Providentia and Vice-Chancellor Melquíades was last spotted by any Church officials. While many parties were sent to search for the Cardinal during this time, We did finally receive word from the man, in the form of an official declaration of resignation from all Church responsibilities. While this news was a surprising piece to learn, We have decided to respect the former Cardinal’s request, and wish him the best in his early retirement.

 

In light of this, the Metropolitanate of Providentia is now officially in Sede Vacante, until a suitable replacement is found to fill the spot. Regarding the position of Vice-Chancellor, We have decided to grant this position to His Eminence, Cardinal Adrian of Albarosa, with full confidence that he shall do his new assignment justice in the years to come. The Vice-Chancellor’s former position of Prelate of the Clergy shall thus officially be in Sede Vacante, to be granted to the next clergyman assigned to the Metropolitanate of Providentia.
