THE OPENING OF NOMINATIONS

1st Election for the Senate Eques of the Commonweawlth

By Order of the Regent:

 

Nominations for membership in the Senate Eques of the Commonwealth are to be opened immediately to those members of the Sovereign Order of the Petrine Laurel who wish to put their names forward.

 

In order to qualify for election under the Constitution of our Republic, candidates for the Senate Eques must meet the following criteria:

 

1. Be an oathed member of the Sovereign Order of the Petrine Laurel
 

2. Be an adult citizen of the Commonwealth
 

3. Be in good legal standing with the law of the Commonwealth

 

Nominations will close in exactly Four Saint’s Days from the issuing of this proclamation. The election for the Senate Eques shall be held One Saint’s Day following the closure of the nominating process. To apply, candidates must tender a completed version of the following application to the office of the Countess of Mardon.

Provided that all of the proper qualifications are met and are consistent with Commonwealth records, the Countess will respond to each applicant to either affirm or deny the acceptance of their candidacy.

 

The five candidates which achieve the greatest number of votes shall be admitted to the Senate Eques in order to govern in the name of the people of the Commonwealth, with all the rights and privileges therein.
