SECTION I. INTRODUCTION

 

The Northern Commando Unit of Saint Karl, originally founded as a mercenary company that had traveled across the north of Almaris. The Northern Commando Unit had become specialized in combat in the north through the continuous studying of the landscape of the north. Their specializations came to a liking to the Brotherhood of Saint Karl and for that they now operate as a special unit within the Brotherhood of Saint Karl.

Under the watch of the Lord Marshal, this squad will be instigated into the Royal Operations Battalion in the coming reforms.

 

SECTION II. SPECIALIZATIONS

 

As aforementioned, the Northern Commando Unit is specialized in combat and strategy in the north; each of the men serving in the unit have their own combat experiences which include; swordsmanship, horsemanship, archery and survival when found alone in combat. The people specialized in such are to be generalized in the rank of Strelets and shall be tended to in their own unique way by the Pyatidesyatntik and Sotnik. 

 

Other specializations include: 

 

- Blacksmithery; To keep the unit supplied with armour, swords and the likes.

- Hunting; So the men have enough rations to survive in the snow and to be well fed before going on expeditions.

- Hand to Hand Combat; In order to train the members should they find themselves in situations where they have no weapons to protect themselves with. 

 

SECTION III. HIERARCHY 

 

SOTNIK 

The Sotnik is the commanding leader of the Northern Commando Unit.

 

PYATIDESYATNIK

The Pyatidesyatnik is the second in-charge of the Northern Commando Unit and is likewise responsible for the strategic plans put forth by the Sotnik.

 

DESYATNIK 

The Desyatnik is in charge of a group of soldiers serving under the Northern Commando Unit; responsible to take them on scouting and expeditions; and if necessary to lead them through combat.

 

REKRUTER 

The Rekruter is responsible for the constant recruiting of new soldiers and thus responsible to guide them through their training.

 

STRELETS 

The recruited soldiers of the Northern Commando Unit who stand ready to be called upon at any time.

 

SECTION IV. HOW TO BECOME A PART OF THE NCU

 

To become a part, the man or woman who wishes to become a part of the Northern Commando Unit must be willing to learn and to prove themselves. Once joining, you will dedicate yourself to the teachings of combat of the Northern Commando Unit and to that of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. 

 

You will be tested on your skills by the Rekruter in front of the entirety of the Northern Commando Unit. The people who will watch shall put their judgment on the one who is willing to become a part of the Northern Commando Unit. 

 

When the NCU agrees on letting you in; you will be continuously trained and thus you are able to rank up based on your progress within the unit. 

 

SECTION V. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

- Each member of the Commando Unit is a member of the BSK.

 

- Each of the founding members will be introduced as initiates before the Sotnik is promoted to Armsman and beyond.

 

- Each member of this unit is permitted a privatized uniform. 

 

- Each member answers to the Lord Marshal and his Officers.

 

- The NCU may recruit its own members and adopt private traditions so long as all new members pass through the Marshal and the BSK.
